Eminem references Imagine Dragons with clever wordplay on “Black Magic”
Few days ago, Eminem released the deluxe edition of “Music To Be Murdered By: Side B” and it includes yet another collaboration with Skylar Grey on a track “Black Magic,” produced by Eminem, Skylar Grey and Jayson DeZuzio.
In the song, Eminem uses multiple songs’ titles to refer to the alternative rock band, Imagine Dragons, before name dropping them with a clever wordplay:
“But if this is actually happenin’, sucker for pain (Sucker For Pain)
I am stuck (Stuck) in this radioactive (Radioactive) pattern
But her by her motherf**kin’ hair’s
All I “imagine draggin'” (Imagine Dragon)”
