Last night, Eminem and Snoop Dogg have debuted new single “From The D 2 The LBC” at the ApeFest 2022. The song is produced by Eminem himself and is supposed to be on his upcoming compilation album, “Curtain Call: The Hits 2.”
The fast-talking single arrived with a music video directed by James Larese, which switches between live footage of the legendary rappers and an animated world where they transform into Bored Ape-looking avatars. All these were shown on the big screen at ApeFest stage, introduced by Chris Rock.
After Eminem and Snoop Dogg presented their new joint to the audience, they went straight to the backstage. There, Slim Shady met Cordae and Bobby Shmurda who shouted “big hommie” at Eminem before handshake and hugging each-other.
“From The D 2 The LBC” is a single from legendary rappers, Eminem and Snoop Dogg, which is supposed to be the upcoming compilation album called “Curtain Call 2″ from Slim Shady.
The song’s title pays homage to the two rapper’s respective cities, Detroit, Michigan and Long Beach, California. It was previewed hours before the release at Ape Fest 2022, with the two showing off the music video onstage.
The song follows a year-old rekindling of their decades long friendship, after previous beef in 2020, spawning from Snoop saying he can live without Eminem’s music. The comments even spawned a few lines from Eminem in his MTBMB Side B track, “Zeus,” where he rapped: And, as far as squashin’ beef, I’m used to people knockin’ me / But, just not in my camp / And diplomatic as I’m tryna be / Last thing I need is Snoop doggin’ me / Man, Dogg, you was like a (Yeah) damn god to me / Nah, not really (Haha) / I had “dog” backwards.”
Later Snoop apologized to Em and together they made a historic performance at the 2022 Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime show and now they jumped on a track together which is currently climbing up to the iTunes charts. Right now the song holds first place on Top Selling Hip-Hop/Rap songs chart and 5th in all genres. You can check the Top 5 below and stay tuned to be updated on chart news:

Nick Cannon speaks with XXL Magazine Associate Editor Kemet High to discuss the artist’s recently released mixtape, The Explicit Tape: Raw & B, top five favorite rappers of all time, working with Stevie Wonder on upcoming album Ghetto Blues, being inspired by singer Summer Walker and much more.
“I do ‘top 5 rappers’ thing on my radio show all the time. Shouts out to everybody but number five is Marshall Mathers, Eminem. I gotta give props and respect and credit to the man cause he’s a beast because criteria for me for top five is obviously numbers, skill, flow, storytelling ability or messaging, lyricism based on the bars and how you put it all together and that dude checks all the boxes so definitely I’ll give Em number five.” – Nick Responded
Then he continues: “Andre 3000 forth. Slick Rick. I think Slick still holds my number three. My number three is questionable cause I wanna go with Slick Rick or Drake. That spot is right there for me. And two is Tupac and number one Jay-Z.”
Eminem and Snoop Dogg have just release a new banger titled “From The D 2 The LBC” and as it looks like it’s a single from Eminem’s new compilation album “Curtain Call: The Hits 2”
Slim Shady shared the new single couple of minutes ago with #curtaincall2 hashtag on it: “Took too long to reconnect with Snoop Dogg. You know we had to make a movie! #FromTheD2TheLBC #CurtainCall2”
Before Eminem’s announcement, fans also spotted the news through the music video which the legendary rappers debut at the Bored Ape Music Festival. You can check the screenshot blow:
The first “Curtain Call: The Hits” was released back in 2005 and the album received a massive success. The album collects Eminem’s most popular singles, as well as four new songs, including a live version of “Stan”, featuring English singer and songwriter Elton John from the 43rd Grammy Awards, plus the songs “Fack”, “When I’m Gone” and “Shake That” featuring Nate Dogg.
The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard and is the longest charting hip-hop album in history with almost 600 weeks being on the Billboard 200. The album is one of the few projects hip-hop projects that earned diamond certification for selling more than 10 million copies in the United States (among The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show).
Eminem and Snoop Dogg drop their new single “From The D 2 The LBC” (From Detroit To The LBC) and music video came with it! The song was first premiered on the stage at the Bored Ape Music Festival.
Reportedly it’s Eminem’s song even though Snoop Dogg has been promoting it as a Mount Westmore single for an year now.
Few months back, Snoop Dogg talked about the single: “There is Snoop Dogg and Eminem song on my Westmore album. It is called “From Detroit to the LBC.” That motherf**ker slapped. That s**t is HUH! It was very challenging for me. Eminem really f**king shot at me. He shot his shot and as a rapper that’s what you want when you get a feature, to have to work you f**king a** off. He is going that hard because he knows I’m going to match him on the same level and that’s what it is when you making records with people that you love. It’s competitive but for the right reason. To bring the best out of each other.”
The song is now out on all streaming services. You can bump it below!
Couple of years ago, Drake dropped a surprise album titled “Honestly, Nevermind,” with a lone feature from 21 Savage.
Drizzy made something entirely for himself, instead of catering to each faction of his massive fanbase. Rather than attempt to make all of his hip-hop fans happy, he made a dance album for dimly lit clubs and dizzying lazer-light raves. He finally strayed from the formula, and focused on a singular new sound instead of trying to appeal to everyone at once.
Even though the album received, generally positive review from critics, fans were not feeling it. “Honestly, Nevermind,” holds one of the lowest score from users of Metacritics. Drake even responded to people who call the album trash on Instagram, saying: “It’s all good if you don’t get it yet. That’s what we do. We wait for you to catch up. We’re already here though, we caught up already. On to the next.”
Last week, Kendrick Lamar has taken aim at rap rivals Drake and J. Cole on a new track, claiming that rather than representing the genre’s “big three” it’s just “big me”. The song, “Like That”, appears on Future and Metro Boomin’s new collaborative album We Don’t Trust You. Lamar is one of several stars to make a guest appearance on the record, along with The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, and Rick Ross. Future also took some shots at Drake in the album. Following the events, Nav, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Future and Metro Boomin have all unfollowed Drake on Instagram.
Back in 2020, on a song titled “Zeus,” from Music To Be Murdered By Deluxe Edition, Eminem predicted what Drake is facing right now. In the song, Em raps: “I’ve had a great view to see the (See the) game through (Through) / And Drake, they’re gonna turn on you (You) one day too (Too) / And the more you win, the sooner (Sooner) they do / They’ll be calling you a trash bin / Sayin’ that your new one isn’t better than your last and / Even if it is, once they start to turn their backs / They ain’t never comin’ back in / They did it to Chance / Next they’ll be mentionin’ Future in the past tense (Yeah) / Or sayin’ “Adiós” to Migos / I ain’t dissin’, I’m just tryna keep the shit a C-note.”
This is exactly what’s happening to Drake right now, what happened to Migos and what might happen to Future in future too. You can bump the song below:
Logic dropped by the neighborhood to speak with Big Boy about his latest album “Vinyl Days,” his upcoming tour with Wiz Khalifa, performing at The Grammy Awards, investing in crypto, and receiving a letter from Congress for his song 1-800-273-8255.
At one point of the interview, the two talked about Eminem too:
“A couple of years ago, the internet was making fun of Eminem cause it was just fun thing to do. They were like ‘oh lets make fun of Eminem…He’s too lyrical-miracle’ like WHAT? I’m like, I’m in bizarro world.” said Logic.
Big Boy continued: “It’s crazy cause we had this conversation and I said ‘man Eminem is crazy, how people come at Eminem?!’ And I remember Eminem just what the world felt like. The grasp he had and I tell people sometimes, not to take this wrong way, I say ‘you know what happened to Eminem bro? He lived. If Eminem had passed, you understand what I’m saying and I don’t clickbait or s**t, none of that, if he had passed in so called ‘prime’ he would have been the biggest thing not only in genre but in the world but he lived and he became old school. And I don’t think he is sitting at home at every moment worried about this. Does he want a hit record? Probably. That’s Eminem. But also Eminem can come up and announce a tour tomorrow and it’s done.”
Then Logic said: “He lived and he is THAT to me. I agree. He got his beard, I wish I had a beard… I also want to say, when it comes to that kind of stuff I learned to let it go. How many hits can you have? How many number ones can you have? How many billions of streams can you have? As a musician I’ve checked every thing from the money, the fame, being recognized, selling out arenas around the world, I’ve done it all, I even went to Grammys, I felt like I won that night, that night was mine, I got to perform, it was really amazing. The only thing on my list of things that I wanted was a Grammy but now I don’t even give a d*mn. I look at cats like Em and I’m like ‘man, he’s just doing him,’ And that’s what inspires me.”
Logic added: “I didn’t even know Eminem knew who I was when I met him couple of years ago. He shouted me out on a record. And I was like ‘OH MY GOSH. THIS IS AMAZING.’ And the next day we are on a song together. He’s one of the illest dudes. He’s so nice and when I met him I was all nervous I was like ‘yo am I being weird?’ He was like ‘nah man, you’re cool.’ Then we talked about rap and I’m like ‘am I being weird now?’ he’s like ‘no, you are fine!’ And then we talked about some other s**t and I was like ‘am I being weird?’ and he was like ‘NOW YOU BEING WIRD!'”
If there is a person who is going to go hard for Eminem, it’s DJ Akademiks.
Jamaica-born DJ and media personality has been throwing shades at Detroit legend for a minute now. He even got Eminem’s attention back in 2018 when Akademiks called “Revival” album trash and the Rap God dropped “Kamikaze” album.
On a track titled “Fall,” Eminem raps: “Somebody tell Budden before I snap, he better fasten it / Or have his body bag get zipped / The closest thing he’s had to hits is smackin’ bitches (Pump it up!) And don’t make me have to give it back to Akademiks / Say this shit is trash again, I’ll have you twisted / Like you had it when you thought you had me slippin’ at the telly (Yeah) / Even when I’m gettin’ brain, you’ll never catch me with a thot.”
Yesterday, Akademiks was streaming with Adin Ross when the DJ once again discredited Eminem’s place in hip-hop when Adin declared Em as the greatest rapper of all time.
“Eminem versus Drake or Lil Wayne? Are you kidding me ni**a? Adin you f**kin stupid ni**a? Kanye West will also wash that ni**a. What you gonna play? Lose Yourself ni**a? Or Till I Collapse? Get the hell outta here! Kanye is stepping on Eminem, Drake is stepping on Eminem, Lil Wayne is stepping on Eminem. Future not washing Eminem?!?!” said Akademiks.
Westside Boogie has recently dropped his sophomore album More Black Superheroes under Shady Records, featuring Snoop Dogg, Soulja Boy and Smino among others.
To promote the album, Boogie sat down with Sway In The Morning where he received a surprise phone-call from Shade 45 boss, Eminem.
With the recent discrediting comments from The Game, Sway told Eminem: “Em, them dudes going crazy. I know there has been lot of folks who fell off the horse and hit their head on a rock that talks that trying to deny your skillset, I’m not one of them. I’ve seen it from the beginning to now. They are going crazy.”
On which Eminem replied: “Thank you Sway. Coming from you bro, that means alot.”
And Boogie intervened: “And you always can call. Let me know bro, I’m one call away, I’m ready to go at whoever, you know! Let me know man!”
This week, Eminem released a new single “The King And I,” featuring CeeLo Green, produced by Dr. Dre from much anticipated “Elvis” movie soundtracks album.
In a song, Eminem references American professional boxer Danny Óscar Garcia with the following lines: “Still goin’ toe-to-toe, I’m still boxing with all my demons but a couple Xanny bars and I’m Danny Gar–, see ya! (Garcia)
Tattle his demons Eminem uses rap as a medicine to keep him from doing drugs again. After a couple Xanny bars (as in “zany bars”, or crazy rhymes that he comes up with) his demons leave because he is Danny Gar-see ya.
Philadelphia-born rapper jumped on his social media to shows some love to Eminem for the reference. “Legendary Eminem drop my name in his new song. Respect.” he said, with a lots of emojis. He also shared the lyrics of the song on Twitter. Check the posts below:
Still goin' toe-to-toe, I'm still boxing with all my demons But a couple Xanny bars and I'm Danny Gar–, see ya! – @Eminem 🔥🔥🔥
He also shared a video on Instagram story, saying: “Eminem said my name on a song. The price went up! Price went all the way up!” And in the next one, he put the lyrics over Eminem’s picture with the caption: “Goat talk”
Danny Garcia has previously showed love to Eminem when the Detroit legend released Recovery. Check the tweet below:

Westside Boogie has recently released his second Shady Records album, More Black Superheroes, featruing Snoop Dogg, Soulja Boy, Smino and more.
To promote his new project, Boogie and Iman have visited Sway In The Morning on Shade 45 where Eminem made a surprise call to express his thoughts on Compton rapper’s new album.
“It’s amazing being on Shady Records. We got giant [Paul Rosenberg]. I’m just grateful to be signed to arguably the greatest rapper ever. Paul is amazing. He is always responsive when I need him. So its lit.” said Boogie before the Eminem call.
“I just want to congratulate Boogie cause the album is incredible but once we go off the air I’m gonna tell you how trash it is [Eminem jokes], but now, that s**t is crazy. ‘Aight’ is my s**t bro. I’ve been bumping that s**t for almost three weeks.”
“With this new Boogie album, the title, everything is great, watching him just keep getting better and better is incredible too and he has got so much in his life weaved in this album, I think its therapeutic.” said Eminem
Later, Boogie and Iman drop the fire freestyle on which Em commented: “There were a lot of f**king bars to wrap my head around.”
Iman could not help himself to express his respect to Slim Shady: “I’ve been listening your albums for a long time man. I want you to know the first time I read the artist’s lyrics was The Eminem Show. That was the first time I learned the album forward and back.”
