1. Best selling album of hip-hop in the first week of the United Kingdom chart release. 

Eminem’s third major release The Eminem Show sold 316,000 copies in its first week in the United Kingdom. It marked his second UK number one album, a feat that no other rap artist has ever achieved.

2. 21st century’s first decade’s top selling album act.

Eminem was the biggest selling album act in the United States in the first 10 years of the century with the sales of 32,300,000 copies.

3. Fastest selling rap artist.

Eminem’s second major solo album The Marshall Mathers LP sold a record 1,760,000 copies in its first week in the United States back in 2000, making him the fastest selling rapper to this day.

4. Most successive US albums to debut at #1 by a solo artist.

Eminem became the first musical act to debut at number one on the US Billboard 200 albums chart with nine successive solo releases that includes: Kamikaze (2018), Revival (2017), The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013), Recovery (2010), Relapse (2009), Curtain Call: The Hits (2005), Encore (2004), The Eminem Show (2002) and The Marshall Mathers LP (2000). They had all bowed at number one.

5. Most successive US number one albums by a solo artist.

As a solo artist, Eminem has touched the top spot on the US Billboard 200 album chart nine times in a row, from his second major album The Marshall Mathers LP  to Kamikaze. All nine solo albums topped the chart at number one.

6. Most successful rap artist in the United Kingdom for singles.

Eminem scored his sixth number one single with “Like Toy Soldiers” back in 2005 which is a record for a rap artist.

7. Most words in a hit single (USA). 

Eminem’s “Rap God” from The Marshall Mathers LP 2 has the most words rapped in a hit single, meaning the singles that debuted inside Top 15 of US Billboard 200.

8. Rapper with the most number one albums in the United Kingdom.

Eminem has topped United Kingdom charts with eight albums and has spent 30 weeks at number one, totals unequalled by any US artist in the 21st century. His most successful album was Recovery which topped the charts for 6 weeks which also is a record for a rap album.

9. Largest vocabulary for a recording artist.

According to study by the music website Musixmatch, inside the list of the 99 biggest selling acts of all time, Eminem has the largest vocabulary with 8,910 unique words used in the lyrics of his 100 legthiest tracks. Eminem is followed by Jay Z with 6,902, Tupac with 6,570, Kanye West with 5068 and Bob Dylan with 4,883 unique words.

10. Most likes for a male musician on Facebook.

With more than 87 million likes on his Facebook, Eminem is the most popular male artist on the social media, followed by Justin Bieber (77 million), Michael Jackson (72 million) and Bob Marley (71 million).

11. Most entries jumped on US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Back in 2006, “Smack That” by Akon, featuring Eminem jumped a record 88 places form number 95 to number 7.

12. Fastest rap in a No.1 single UK)

In the third verse of Eminem’s (USA, b. Marshall Mathers III) No.1 single “Godzilla”, the rapper squeezes 225 words into one 30-second segment – that’s a rapid 7.5 words per second! “Godzilla” (2020) smashed the record he set as a guest on Nicki Minaj’s “Majesty” (2018), when he spat out 78 words in 12 seconds (6.5 words per second), which in turn eclipsed his performance on the 2013 hit “Rap God” (97 words in 15 seconds; 6.46 words per second).
