Eminem tells Stans to get busy on Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame voting!

Eminem and the MC5 might become the latest entrants into the list of Detroit’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Couple of days ago, Marshall Mathers was nominated for Rock Hall, 25 years and three months after his debut album, “Infinite,” was released.

If inducted, Eminem and the MC5 would become the 20th and 21st Detroit performers enshrined in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the first since the Miracles were selected in 2012.

Inductees are selected by a panel of 1,000-plus artists, historians and other music professionals, with a public vote also incorporated into the process. Fans can cast their ballots at vote.rockhall.com.

Eminem was already number one voted artist on the list but Slim Shady still asked his fans not to stop voting. “Eminem nominated for Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction! Voting open now thru 4/29 and capped at 1 ballot per day. Top 5 make it in. Stans get busy!” posted Shady Records page, which was reshared by Eminem on his story.

U2’s Bono recalls losing out the Oscar to Eminem

Variety magazine has recently sat down with U2 singer Bono and his bandmate, the Edge, this week.

This year the legendary rock band came up with “Your Song Saved My Life,” tune for a climactic scene in “Sing 2” that is currently shortlisted in the Oscars’ best original song preliminary voting.

During the interview, the Edge and Bono talked about a variety of subjects, including: the subterfuge of sneaking serious themes into family-friendly animation and their previous Oscar nominations and losses.

Back in 2003, U2 was nominated at the Oscars for “The Hands That Built America” song from Gangs of New York but lost to Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” from 8 Mile movie. They also lost in 2014 to Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopezs.

Interviewer: Looking ahead to the Oscars this year, the shortlist, it’s star-studded, and talent-studded. Looking at who you’re up against, is there anybody you’d the most embarrassed about beating, if you won?

Bono: Oh, no. We’d never be embarrassed about beating (anyone)! Although I will say, (losing to) Eminem (in 2002, when U2 was nominated for a song from “Gangs of New York”), I have to be honest, that song, “Lose Yourself,” we were sitting there — he wasn’t even there — and it’s really an extraordinary song. I still had a tiny bit of humble, and there was a part of me there that was going, “Mmm. This will be hard. To win against that could backfire.” But we lost to a children’s animation, I think, for “Ordinary Love” (in 2013, when “Let It Go” won). But it had that incredible psychedelic line in it, didn’t it? [When Elsa sings, “My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around.”] So we had to let that go. … Look, at this point, you just want your song to get a chance to be heard, and this is a great vehicle for it.

Bono also briefly talked about Eminem’s “Cleanin’ Out My Closet” song: “Opening up to questioning why you do things, and about how you grew up and why you ended up where you ended up and all of those kinds of questions, once I opened that door, I couldn’t close it. And there was a lot for me to look at. Was it Eminem who talked about tidying his room [laughs] — “Cleanin’ Out My Closet”? That’s just an amazing song. Yeah, it was a bit of tidying of the room.”

Conway The Machine has been putting his time to good use in preparation for his major label, Shady Records debut, God Don’t Make Mistakes, which will be released on February 25th.

The Griselda heavy hitter released a freestyle over Kanye West’s Donda opening track “Jail” last week and he is back at it again. This time Conway spits over “Devil In A New Dress.”

Eminem gets nominated at Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 2022 – VOTE NOW

Today, Eminem was nominated for entry into music’s most elite club: Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Marshall Mathers is the only one of the 17 contenders to receive a nomination in his first year of eligibility, which is 25 years after a recording’s debut.

When the honorees are revealed in May, if Eminem gets crowned, he will become only the second white hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, following the Beastie Boys, who were inducted in 2012.

Slim Shady would be only the seventh rapper to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, with Jay-Z being the most recent rapper.

Eminem — who will be performing alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige at the Super Bowl halftime show on February 13 — is probably the only slam dunk to be inducted in a wide range of nominees this year. Other first-time nominees include Beck, Duran Duran, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon and A Tribe Called Quest.

Fan voting has started. Leaked GTA 6 radio music features Rihanna and Eminem song

According to a fresh leak from a well-known Grand Theft Auto leaker, the first GTA 6 songs have leaked.

Grand Theft Auto VI has yet to be officially confirmed by Rockstar Games, but it’s currently in development for the PS5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X, according to a slew of reports and leaks, and it might be disclosed shortly. A couple tracks may have just leaked ahead of any official announcement or reveal. If the information is correct, this will be the first significant GTA 6 leak.

GTA 6 NEWS & LEAKS, a Twitter user who covers Grand Theft Auto 6 news, rumors, leaks, forecasts, and Easter eggs, just translated a message claiming to have uncovered four tracks in the future game.

According to the translation, the original poster Matheusvictorbr- discovered two songs dubbed “familiar” on a radio segment. The tracks in dispute were Pet Shop Boys’ “Domino Dancing” and Caribou’s “Odessa.”

Another two songs, Santigold’s “Nonsense Youth” and Rihanna and Eminem’s “Numb,” which was released back in 2012, from Riri’s Unapologetic album, were supposedly discovered tied to another, unnamed exclusive radio piece.

Machine Gun Kelly quotes Eminem lyrics regarding Slipknot’s Corey Taylor beef

Before Machine Gun Kelly and Eminem beef started off, MGK was a big fan of Eminem and it looks like he remains so.

Since changing the genre, Texas-born rapper-turned-to-rocker has been beefing with legendary heavy-metal rock band, Slipknot.

Slipknot member Corey Taylor recently revisited the beef during a Question and Answer session at his performance on the 2022 ShipRocked Festival cruise during January 22 – 27.

“For those of you that don’t know, MGK doesn’t like me very much. And let me follow that up by saying I don’t care,” Taylor told the audience. “This genre really doesn’t get the f**king respect that it deserves. MGK don’t get to walk in as some weird substitute teacher and pretend that you can tell us what to wear—boots, shoes, house-f**king-shoes, slippers. Why don’t you suck every inch of my d**k? You don’t get to do that. And these are bands that maybe I don’t even f**king know, but guess what? I f**king respect them because they get on f**king stage and they f**king give every f**king thing they’ve got.”

In response (supposedly), Machine Gun Kelly quoted Eminem’s lyrics from “The Way I Am” song on Twitter: “I am, whatever you say I am.”

Cordae says he almost put Eminem and Lil Wayne on the same song

Cordae has recently sat down with Ebro Darden to unpack his album ‘From a Birds Eye View,’ where he talked about Eminem and Lil Wayne collaborations on the album.

“When I made ‘Parables,’ song I knew Eminem’s vocal tone would sound good on that because the beat is like that airy vibe on some Slim Shady, Marshall Mathers LP sort of vibe. So I knew his vocal tone would thrive on that.” – said Cordae

“With ‘Sinister,’ with Lil Wayne, that really wasn’t even going to be an album cut, but Wayne accented that, he brought that record up, honestly. So I just want to make the best music possible, versus like, ‘Okay, I got Em on this, let me redo my verse, let me redo this verse because I got Wayne on it.’” – Cordae added.

He continues: “Funny enough, I was going to put Eminem on ‘Sinister’ as well. It was going to be Wayne and Eminem all on ‘Sinister.’ Just for all the Hollywood glitz and glam, it would have been cool because it is Wayne and Em on the same track. I know how Drake did it on ‘Forever,’ and I was just like, ‘Yo, that is just a flex move of putting Wayne and Em on the same record.’ Nobody has done this since Drake did it on ‘Forever.’ I am kind of just showing my muscle. But it would not have been the proper record, if that makes sense.”
