Pat Stay defends Eminem by dropping The Game diss-track “Warm Up”

About a month ago, The Game dropped an Eminem diss track on his Drillmati: Heart Vs. Mind album, called “The Black Slim Shady.” The controversial 10-minutes song earned the Compton rapper lots of backlash, including a diss track of his own from renowned battle rapper Pat Stay.

“I gotta say, as a fan of you The Game it’s been hard to watch you desperately begging for Eminem attention trying to battle him. Trust me, I respect the hunger, but once you start that whole ‘he only blew up because he’s white’ type s**t it comes off more hater-ish than competitive.” Stay wrote on his Instagram post and challenged him to a battle. “Lots of famous rappers have jumped in the ring to solidify their positions as lyricists and real MCs. And that seems to be what you’ve been trying to prove. So bring it. I’m that white boy you need to see first.”

The Game did not responded directly but he block Pat Stay on social media, which led the underground star to drop off his “Warm Up” diss track featuring Kaleb Simmonds. The song Eminem’s “Stan.”

Some of the quotable lyrics include Pat rapping from Game’s perspective: “Dear Slim, I wrote you and you still haven’t responded / Pat Stay called me out, I got scared and blocked him / I never meant to hurt you, but tonight I’m cleaning out my closet.”

Two days after releasing the diss-track, acclaimed Nova Scotia battle rapper Pat Stay was the victim of a fatal stabbing in downtown Halifax.

Eminem wins Emmy Award & is one step away to EGOT status

Eminem is one step closer to achieving EGOT status after winning the Emmy Award for outstanding variety special (live).

With 15 Grammy Awards and an Academy Award (Oscar) for original song (‘Lose Yourself’) under his belt, the Detroit legend only needs a Tony Award to achieve the elusive EGOT title (given to artists who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony).

Assembled by Pepsi, the NFL and Roc Nation the memorable lineup of performers for the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar. The artists are all winners alongside the “Lose Yourself” rapper. Executive producer, another legendary rapper Jay-Z also won an Emmy.

The Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show marked the first time these five multi-award-winning artists performed together on stage. Collectively, the artists have been awarded 43 Grammys and between them have 22 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200.

While none of the Emmy winning artists were there to accept the award, Adam Blackstone who also won an award for outstanding music direction said, his biggest challenge was, “Each of those five artists could have headlined themselves easily, but I was entrusted to make sure that everybody had their fair time allotment and that for me, I did not want to leave the viewer wanting anything more or missing their favorite moments from each of their favorite artists.”

B.o.B. recalls Eminem’s reaction when he heard André 3000’s verse on “Play The Guitar”

B.o.B has recently sat down with B High Atl where he revealed Eminem’s reaction when he played him “Play The Guitar” with André 3000.

“I remember when I was in the studio with Eminem. I played Eminem “Play The Guitar” and I remember Em being like ‘s**t, you just never know where he (André 3000) gonna land at.” said B.o.B.

Then he continues: “I know what he meant when he said that because, first of all, you gotta put this in perspective that I grew up listening to Eminem. This ni**a was that ni**a! And I was watching him listen to André 3000 verse on my song and he was like ‘you never know where he’s gonna land with the  flow’ and I’m just like ‘yo this is wild to me.’ The way Andre approaches verses…He’s like a storytelling journalist.”

Jay-Z shouts out Eminem on a new song with DJ Khaled, Rick Ross & Lil Wayne

DJ Khaled has just dropped a star-studded album “God Did,” which includes a long-awaited “Use This Gospel” remix by Kanye West and Eminem, produced by Dr. Dre.

The new project also includes a song with the same title as the album, “God Did,” featuring Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, John Legend and Fridayy.

In the song, Jay-Z gives a little shout out to Eminem with the following lines: “E was down ten for this / We just got his ten back then went back like, “Where the interests is?” / Em light up the O3 / We let y’all do the zazas, OG for the OGs / Some new ni**as out of pocket, talkin’ exotic / You barely been in the Baham— (Haha) that’s another topic.”

“Em light up the O3 (’03)” looks like to be a double entendre. Emory Jones lighting up the cigar that Hov is producing and Eminem lighting up the year 2003.

This is not the first time Hov is giving Eminem a nod. On a 2003 song “Excuse Me Miss,” with Pharrell Williams, Jay raps: “Got one chef, one maid, all I need is a partner / To play spades with the cards up, ALL TRUST / Who else you gon’ run with? The truth is us / Only dudes movin’ units – Em, Pimp Juice and us.”

On a 2009 song “A Star Is Born,” with J. Cole, Jigga raps: “Wayne did ‘A Milli,’ 50 did a milli / Ye too, but what Em did was silly / The white boy blossomed after Dre endorsed him / His flow on “Renegade,” f**king awesome! / Applaud him!”

Westside Boogie performs “KILLA MODE” live on stage

Yesterday, Westside Boogie performed “KILLA MODE,” featuring Storm Ford from his More Black Superheroes album, live on VEVO stage.

Following the release of his sophomore Shady Records album, the Compton emcee has recently discussed how he learned to accept his own growth with Rolling Stone magazine.

“I’m so vulnerable in my music that it makes it hard to be vulnerable as a person. Even when people get around me, if they start showing too much emotion, I shut down. My mama tells me she loves me? I shut down. Someone get too touchy-feely? I shut down. That’s an anxiety I’m still working through.” said Boogie

“I think we’re way more self-aware when it comes to our emotions than our OGs was. I know I am — I got way more emotional intelligence than my big homies. I think it’s because we talk about it now.” he added.
