Benzino slams Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame after inducting Eminem

Benzino is calling out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after Eminem was announced as one of the inductees for the 2022 class.

Yesterday, the former Source magazine owner went on a mini rant through Twitter, sharing his feelings about Eminem being revealed as a Hall inductee earlier in the day.

“Rock and roll hall of fame is just like the Grammy’s, they have no respect for our culture, Black or Hip Hop and if you don’t agree, you’re racist, period point blank,” Zino tweeted.

In another tweet, he said: “So where’s Nas, Eric B and RAKIM, Kool Moe D, EPMD, Fearless Four, Fat Boyz, Lauren Hill, Little Kim, OutKast and 100s other Black rappers?? Get the f**k out of here!”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has officially announced this year’s inductees: Eminem, Dolly Parton, Duran Duran, Lionel Richie, Pat Benatar, Eurythmics, and Carly Simon will join the class of 2022 in the Performers category.

Eminem is the only hip-hop artist to be inducted as a Performer this year, the only artist that began releasing music in the Nineties, and the only act to be inducted in their first year of eligibility.

This was the third nomination for Eurythmics and Judas Priest, the second for Pat Benatar (who will be inducted alongside her husband and longtime collaborator Neil Giraldo), and the first for Dolly Parton, Carly Simon, and Lionel Richie.

Jack Harlow talks Eminem comparisons with Ebro in the Morning

Ahead of the release of his second studio album, Come Home the Kids Miss You, which drops this Friday, Jack Harlow stopped by Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning on Monday to chat about his sophomore effort, working with Kanye West, Drake, comparisons to Eminem and more.

Peter Rosenberg: Does it ever cross your mind that you are the first of your kind in a certain way? And by that I mean, there have been lot of white rappers, at this point, it’s not that novel to be a white rapper but in terms of being this commercially popular, you make club records, you have one of the biggest club records in the last five years. Even the biggest white rappers who we love, Mac, Marshall… Eminem does not make ‘club records’ he’s lyrical miracle huge star but no one else has actually been in this space of being white boy who actually makes really good commercial hip-hop records. Have you ever looked at it like that?

Jack Harlow: I say I’m aware of it but you might not put Eminem in the club box but he was making mainstream hip-hop that was being consumed by the masses. But I feel your point.

Voting member of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame lashes out on Eminem

Ahead of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame’s Wednesday announcement revealing its 2022 class, Vulture magazine spoke with two members of the Rock Hall voting body under the cloak of anonymity to dissect their extremely frank opinions when the ballots arrived.

Their names are anonymous. Voter 1 has been an active voter for “four to five years,” while Voter 2 hovers “around 20 years.” And both have a hell of a lot to say about Eminem. You can check it below:

Voter 1: I hate Eminem. I’ve always hated Eminem. I find everything about his art to be repelling, and I love hip-hop. It’s hard to describe without going back into the conspiracies. I feel like the rock press dove head over heels for him from the beginning. He’ll say it — he got a huge boost from being a white rapper and being “transgressive.” The way in which he was embraced by critics, put on the cover of Spin dressed as the guy from A Clockwork Orange, and all this other horses**t early on? It was repulsive to me. When you actually listen to his songs, there’s not all that much there. For every semi-dark lyric about killing his wife or his mother, there’s 15 songs that are a string of pop-culture bulls**t and fart jokes. F**k that guy.

Voter 2: It’s a good argument why 25 years is a good span of time before people become eligible. If Eminem had been eligible a decade ago, I’m sure I would’ve voted for him. But to me, his work is less substantial, less interesting, and has aged less well than it would have if we were having this conversation in 2012. There’s other people who I would rather see. The ballot always seems like there’s one designated hip-hip spot per year. In terms of what the Hall voters can wrap their brains around, I think there’s better places to put that vote this year.

Eminem finished at second place on Rock Hall fan voting with almost 700,000 votes but as you see, official voting members are very critical to Eminem. Let’s wait for today’s announcement of 2022 Rock Hall inductees! For the full article, visit Vulture here.

Future shouts out Eminem in a new song from new album “I Never Liked You”

Future has released his ninth solo studio album I NEVER LIKED YOU (DELUXE). It features new collaborations with Lil Durk, Young Scooter, Lil Baby, Babyface Ray and 42 Dugg.

The album includes a song titled “No Security,” which features Detroit rapper Babyface Ray. In a song, Future gives Eminem a shout out with the following lines:

“Takin’ pics with junkies and I’m ridin’ ’round with Eminem
It’s some robbers and killers ’round here, that’s where I’m at”

According to Genius annotation: Future references the duality of his lifestyle, poor vs rich. On one hand, he can hang around with people from lower-class areas, mainly because he used to live in such a situation.

On the other hand, he’s mentioned in the same conversation with legendary rappers such as Eminem. Although Future and Em have never collaborated before, Future did receive writing credits on Em’s track ‘’Book Of Rhymes’’, off his ‘’Music to Be Murdered By: Side B’’ album in 2020.

Skylar Grey says she gets tired of people asking her about Eminem

After teasing fans with new singles, titled “Show Me Where It Hurts” and “Falling Apart” respectively, Skylar Grey is back with her first self-titled album, the first in six years!

To promote her new album, Skylar spoke with stupidDOPE magazine about reestablishing herself, the power of TikTok, being put in the songwriter box, relationship with Eminem and much more.

You’ve been a part of so many projects and so many hit songs over the years. What’s one song or project you worked on that really affected you the most?

I mean, “Love The Way You Lie”. Obviously, the one that really set my career off and also was the beginning of an amazing relationship with Eminem. He continues to work with me and take my hooks and put them on his albums and it’s really awesome.

It’s great that you guys have maintained this relationship after all this time.

I know, I’m so grateful, he’s the best.

It seems like he really trusts you with your vision and you guys just work so well together. On the other hand, do you ever get tired of people asking you about Eminem?

Yeah.

That’s got to be the go to thing people ask you about.

Yeah it is but you know, I’m grateful for everything he’s done for me and being able to to work so closely with him. So it’s to be expected. It’s okay.

Research: Eminem & Drake are among most dangerous online searches

When we surf in the net, we are one click away from cyberattacks where there are unwelcome attempts to steal, publish, modify, disable, or destroy information through unauthorized access to our computer systems.

Hackers use keywords which they know receive a lot of traffic and interest as they will reach more people in attempts to lure internet users into visiting web pages or clicking download links that contain malicious software or malware that can result in any or all of these unwelcome actions.

Now Surfshark has done a research on pop culture search terms, from celebrities to TV shows and from music to sports, and found out the most dangerous words to search online.

If you are looking for Eminem’s music, perhaps you should be careful which pages you visit as almost half of the search results for the Detroit legend contained potential malware.

Billie Eilish” had the most potential malware at 47.1%, “The Weeknd” came in second (43%) and then “Eminem” (42.3%) are the terms that could pose a threat. For the full statistics, check the table below:

After losing feud with Eminem & changing genre, Machine Gun Kelly reveals plans for returning to rap

Just one month after releasing his 2nd pop-punk album, titled Mainstream Sellout, Machine Gun Kelly has announced that he is done with rock music.

In a new interview with Kevan Kenney from Audacy, Machine Gun Kelly revealed that right now he feels like he has accomplished everything he wanted to do in pop-punk world, and that he now feels like it is time to return to hip-hop world — a genre where many people believe he cowered out of after losing a highly public rap feud against his idol, Eminem, back in 2018.

“I am going to make a rap album for myself. For no other reason, no point to prove, no chip on my shoulder. If I keep doing things to prove things to people, I am going to, one, drive myself crazy and, two, not make a good product.” said MGK.

“Going to do this tour and I am gonna step into where I left… Hotel Diablo and expand on my storytelling as a rapper and find a new innovative sound for the hip-hop Machine Gun Kelly. That is where my excitement is and where me as a music archeologist wants to explore.” MGK added.

The Game’s sister talks about her brother’s plan to diss Eminem in a new single

B.F.L.Y., The Game’s sister, has recently chatted with Andrew Moffatt on Hip Hop XXIV where she weighted in on her brother’s plan to diss Eminem in a new single that is supposed to be titled “Black Slim Shady,” according to Game’s manager Wack 100.

“Is money involved? [laughs]. I just look at it differently. I think people will do lots of things when money involved and to get the internet running. To me it’s kind of when Kanye know 50 Cent said he would not rap anymore if Kanye outsold albums and they put out the albums on the same day. 50 Cent still put out music, he’s still putting out shows.”

“I think a lot of times things have another agenda behind them that we don’t even see. It’s family though. I like to root for my own family but I have seen and I will say this: I have seen the footage of Eminem losing a rap battle to a person that I know. His name is Outherwize. So at the end of the day, when you put your mind in anything you can do whatever you want. Sometimes I look at this music as a competition with yourself. Sometimes we say I’m better than everybody and that will probably put fire under your a** or not, it’s just going to be another talked about situation which still going to revenue money. They don’t have fame and Eminem. Like DJ Quik said, if you ain’t making money it makes no sense.” said B.F.L.Y.

Pusha T debunks rumors of him ever taking shots at Eminem, says how much he is inspired by Eminem

Pusha T has recently visited Morning Hustle Show to promote his new album, It’s Almost Dry.

During the interview, one of the hosts asked him to name a person that people tried to make him diss but he never intended to do so. Here is what King Push replied:

“I saw just recently on Twitter people sayin’ my stuff at Eminem. I’m like ‘BROO!’ It was just misinterpretation something I said before. People decode and think their own thing. Nah man, Em is somebody that I respect. He’s one of the people that I really like what he does because after all of his success I can still find lyricist lounge Eminem. That’s a goal for me, personally.”
