On the song titled “a p p l y i n g . p r e s s u r e,” Cole references Eminem with the following lines: “Just did the mental math and calculated my worth / S**t crazy, didn’t know I got more M’s than a Real Slim Shady video…

This is a play on the name of Eminem and his alter ego named Slim Shady. Eminem’s shortened moniker, “Em”, is homonymous with the letter “M”, an abbreviation for million. J. Cole had a similar line on “KOD” in 2018, where he raps: “Bi**hes been askin’, “What have you done lately? I stacked a few M’s like my last name was Shady.

Jack Harlow says today’s Eminem is underrated, calls him iconic

In this episode of Pitchfork’s Overrated/Underrated, Jack Harlow rates TikTok dances, John Calipari, Nirvana, Eminem, The Irishman, Los Angeles and much more. At one point, when the Eminem question came, here is what he replied:

“These days, Eminem is underrated. He catches lots of slander from the new generation. I think they do not have the context of what it was. He is truly an icon.”

“When I was 9 to 13 years old, that’s really who I wanted to be. I used to watch 8 Mile and I watched the scene of him in the warehouse, those freestyles and lyrics… I love Eminem and I do not like the new slander. I do not like this new wave that slanders him.” said the Shelbyville, Kentucky-born rapper.

Tom MacDonald to drop new music inspired & produced by Eminem?!

Last month, it was reported that Eminem’s NTF beat “Stan’s Revenge” was bought by Tom MacDonald for $100,000. Few days ago, the Canadian rapper responded to the controversy with 1 minutes and 20 seconds video:

“If I got a beat from probably the greatest rapper of all time, you should be happy, not mad. If I got a beat from the man who literally inspired me to become a rapper, you should be happy, not mad. If as an Independent artist I invested $100,000 into myself to further my independent career, you should be happy, not mad. If I got a beat from Eminem and made history as the first ever independent artist to do that, you should be happy, not mad.”

It is still unknows if the Eminem-beat was purchased by MacDonald but the new music that he’s dropping this Friday is obviously inspired by Slim Shady as in the teaser of the video, Tom is holding the chainsaw and “New Video Friday” is written with backwards ‘E’, which, of course, symbolizes Eminem.

Tom MacDonald also posted a picture of himself wearing Eminem T-shirt with the caption: “Y’ALL EXCITED FOR NEW VIDEO FRIDAY?!”

We, of course, keeping an eye on what’s coming on this Friday, Tom!

Benzino says Michael Jackson called & thanked him for standing up to Eminem

Just because you see something on internet, it does not mean it’s true but for Benzino, it does, especially if the post degrades Eminem. In one of his latest Instagram post, Benzino shared a picture of Eminem and Michael Jackson, with the following words written on it: “When Eminem did a diss on Michael Jackson in 2005. Michael made no comments. He went and bought Eminem’s whole catalogue and then got paid every time Eminem performed.”

In the caption, Benzino wrote: “So, I was at the Turnberry Hotel in Miami when I got a call from Michael Jackson and we talked for about 45 minutes about Eminem disrespecting him. He thanked me for standing up to him and spoke about in his words, the devils running music industry. He mentioned Tommy Mattola and a few others. I will never forget that conversation. I had no idea he bought the catalogue.”

In the comments, one of The Source magazine editor said: “I remember when u put the phone to my ear and it was Michael Jackson on your phone saying ‘the nerve of this boy.'”

As you might know, on “Just Lose It” song Eminem goes very far with scatological humor, Michael Jackson jokes and one of the most distinctive choruses in Slim Shady’s career.

Tom MacDonald responds haters who roasting him over buying Eminem’s beat for $100,000

Last month, it was reported that Eminem’s NTF beat “Stan’s Revenge” was bought by Tom MacDonald for $100,000 and now the rapper is responding to the controversy via 1 minute and 20 seconds video:

“Today I told the internet that I might be in possession of an original beat produced by Eminem and it seems like a lot of you guys are really mad and really confused, so let me help you. If I got a beat from probably the greatest rapper of all time, you should be happy, not mad.”

“If I got a beat from the man who literally inspired me to become a rapper, you should be happy, not mad. If as an Independent artist I invested $100,000 into myself to further my independent career, you should be happy, not mad. If I got a beat from Eminem and made history as the first ever independent artist to do that, you should be happy, not mad.”

“And If I did not do any of that then you have nothing to worry about, shut the f**k up. So in closing this is all hypothetical, I am not confirming or denying anything, but I got a big surprise coming and more clues.” said the Canadian rapper.
