Kanye West ties one of Eminem’s Billboard records with “Donda” album
Last week, Kanye West released his tenth solo studio album, “Donda,” with the guest appearances from Jay Z, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, The Weeknd, Lil Durk, Kid Cudi, DaBaby, Conway The Machine and many more.
The album has officially sold 309,000 units in its first week which is easily enough to hit No.1 on Billboard 200 and earn Ye his tenth consecutive No.1 album on the charts. “Donda” has significantly increased sales compared to Kanye’s previous effort, “Jesus Is King,” which sold around 264,000 units on its first week back in 2019.
With West going No.1 for tenth time, consecutively, he tied Eminem’s accolade, who also has 10 consecutive albums going straight at No. 1 on Billboard. Kanye West and Eminem are the only artists in history to achieve this milestone.
Eminem’s No. 1 albums include: The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, Encore, Curtain Call: The Hits, Relapse, Recovery, The Marshall Mathers LP2, Revival, Kamikaze and Music To Be Murdered By.
