Eminem drops “The King And I” featuring CeeLo Green off “Elvis” movie

“Elvis” is an upcoming biographical musical film directed by Baz Luhrmann, from a screenplay written by Luhrmann, Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce, and Jeremy Doner, with a story by Luhrmann and Doner.

The film chronicles the life and career of singer and actor Elvis Presley, from his early days as a child to becoming a pop star and movie star, as well as his complex relationship with his manager Colonel Tom Parker.

At the press conference of the movie, compared Elvis’ embrace of Black music to Eminem “Parker sees this kid who’s grown up in one of the white designated houses in the black community, and is really genuinely like Eminem. Eminem, of course, grew to prominence in the mid-to-late 1990s rapping on tracks alongside the likes of Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg, going on to become one of the biggest rappers alive, echoing Elvis’ movements in rock ‘n’ roll.” said Luhrmann.

It’s not a surprise the main theme song for the movie features Eminem’s titled “The King And I,” featuring CeeLo Green and produced by Dr. Dre and Luis Resto.

Couple of weeks ago, in a new interview with KTLA, Green revealed that Eminem gave him one night to write the hook of the song: ““Me and Eminem have been friends for years, I have longed for an opportunity to work with him. He said ‘hey man can you do this for me? I need it really quickly, I need it tonight.’ So when Eminem says he needs something tonight, you deliver.”

Kxng Crooked hints on new song with Eminem

Couple of hours ago, Eminem went on Twitter to react on Kendrick Lamar’s new album by praising Dr. Dre: “Yo Dr. Dre this Kendrick album is f**cking ridiculous. I am speechless.” – wrote Slim Shady.

Under the reply section, Kxng Crooked made a mysterious tweet: “Save me 16 on the next one bro (maybe 32),” implying that he sent Eminem less than 16 bars for their new song. Or this might be a super reach.

Kid Vishis has also recently praised Eminem’s verse on “Medicine Man” on Twitter. Check the series of tweets below:

Logic references Eminem in a new song with Russ

Logic and Atlanta artist Russ use “Therapy Music,” — the third single off of Logic’s 2022 album titled Vinyl Days,— as a way to unleash everything on their minds.

The two go back-to-back with long verses of just bars with no chorus, rapping about everything life has thrown at them in a therapeutic release.

Logic’s verse includes lots of reference, including Eminem. At the end of his verse, he raps: “Still at the top, where I been at? Eight Miles from the surface of Earth, feelin’ Infinite.”

The line is clearly a reference to Eminem’s Oscar-winning movie “8 Mile” and his debut album, called “Infinite.”

Future shouts out Eminem in a new song from new album “I Never Liked You”

Future has released his ninth solo studio album I NEVER LIKED YOU (DELUXE). It features new collaborations with Lil Durk, Young Scooter, Lil Baby, Babyface Ray and 42 Dugg.

The album includes a song titled “No Security,” which features Detroit rapper Babyface Ray. In a song, Future gives Eminem a shout out with the following lines:

“Takin’ pics with junkies and I’m ridin’ ’round with Eminem
It’s some robbers and killers ’round here, that’s where I’m at”

According to Genius annotation: Future references the duality of his lifestyle, poor vs rich. On one hand, he can hang around with people from lower-class areas, mainly because he used to live in such a situation.

On the other hand, he’s mentioned in the same conversation with legendary rappers such as Eminem. Although Future and Em have never collaborated before, Future did receive writing credits on Em’s track ‘’Book Of Rhymes’’, off his ‘’Music to Be Murdered By: Side B’’ album in 2020.

“Emo Stick” is a standalone lyrical exercise displaying some of the traits and talents GRIP has at his disposal. In the song, GRIP sends a message to the weak rappers who think they are on his level.

Some of the quotable lyrics from the song include: “A local throwing jabs but, s**t, I know this ni**a lame, What, your s**t flopped? So now you gotta troll to get a name? Better than who? Boy, ya moment was over when it came, You see the lows that ni**as stoop to for exposure in this game?”

Canibus to release a song, featuring Eminem, produced by Dr. Dre

I know you don’t believe it too. I could not believe my eyes when I first saw this information in a closed Facebook group of Canibus but it seems official now.

Canibus will release his Eminem collaboration, described as “UNRELEASED SONG, not a blend, not a mix, not recycled nor ever heard before track,” produced by Dr. Dre as an NFT via his website.

On the website, we read: “At this session, the 4 Lucky Winners + all NFT customers will be the 1st to hear the CANIBUS NFT single featuring EMINEM and Produced by DR. DRE. Yes, this is an actual UNRELEASED SONG, not a blend, not a mix, not recycled nor ever heard before track with CANIBUS x EMINEM produced by Dr. Dre!!! As stated above, like the one of a kind WU-TANG CLAN album “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin”, this Unreleased Track will eventually be sold as an NFT exclusively to one buyer. Until that happens, CANINFT.COM raffle winner and all NFT customers from the site will be allowed to hear this monumental piece of history!”

It’s hard to believe because of Canibus and Eminem’s longtime beef that dates back to 1998, even before Eminem was signed to Dr. Dre. Em even mentions Canibus in one of his recent collaborations with Conway The Machine, on a track called “Bang” in which he raps: “Used to dream one day I’d be fuckin’ pink like a flamingo, that was back when I smoked Canibus, man, but it was tough, ’cause I was a fan of his so it sucked to hand him his a**.”

We are not sure when Canibus and Eminem recorded the track but it seems to be real.
