Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been eliminated from the 265-pound title chase after failing to come to terms on a heavyweight price tag with promotion president Dana White.
But don’t expect that to keep him from achieving greatness.
“I am about to give birth to something big, something out of the ordinary. On a path that no man on this planet has ever walked. Can not rush greatness.” – Wrote Jon Jones on Twitter.
After few hours, the UFC champion posted a video of himself working out over Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” You can watch it below:
Comedian Jack Black encouraged his fans on social media to get their COVID-19 vaccination by posting a post-vaccination video of himself transforming into different members of the Avengers, along with Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” music on it.
Posted on Instagram, the clip opens with the School of Rock star standing shirtless and pretending to get a COVID-19 vaccination. The camera then pans to show Black wearing an American Flag Speedo and Captain America helmet as he kicks through a pile of fake bricks.
As the nearly two-minute-long video continues, Black shows off some seriously suggestive dance moves while being hit with spray from a hose. Later in the clip, the Tenacious D musician transforms into other Avengers, including Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Spider-Man.
After the video was released, Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” re-entered on United States iTunes Top 10 charts. You can watch it below:
Battle rapper Daylyt has recently done an Instagram Live session where he talked about why Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” is the anthem for anyone who is battling anything and what is the difference between prime and today’s Eminem.
“Prime Em… What Eminem does with his rhyme pattern is so amazing bro. It’s Amazing. Then I’m listening to doubles and stacks and the passion he puts in his verse. Yo, Em is so fire. Prime Em, ni**a’s so fire. I’m listening to this “Lose Yourself” song and I’m thinking of the setup of that record and as a battle rapper and a person that has stepped into any battle, I don’t just mean battle rap, I mean basketball games, sports, anything that was a moment that could shift your life, this song spoke to you. Any moment in life where you go. This record is for all those moments. And I think about that all the time, like, yo, that’s fire!”
“I just when through Em’s whole catalog and then I went though new catalog and I realize what is the problem with Em right now. Em has grown, mentally, physically, spiritually. He can’t rap about the things he rapped no more. But mainly, I’m gonna tell you, mainly what is hurting Eminem. Right now, it’s beat selection. Em is trying to do what he normally does over modern beats and he’s traying to add modern style production inside of his ability. Like, when you are adding water and oil together, it just don’t mix. If Em is to get on some boom bap, some heavy boom bap s**t…BOY! We need Eminem and Alchemist. We need Eminem and Dilla. We need Eminem and Willie D. We need Eminem on whoever produces for Conway The Machine. We need Em and them type of ni**as bro. Em will do DAMAGE if he gets back to those type of beats. Em would do an ultimate damage. And I’m only saying this because I want to put energy out there and hopefully Eminem is watching this. And hopefully somebody that’s related to Eminem is watching this. And tell Em I said this personally.”
“At the Eminem universe, they hate me and love me because I’ve been f**king with Em so much. And I troll a lot because I’m a fan. That’s what fans do. They troll and say opposite of how they feel. I’ve been listening to a lot Eminem and other than that, I’ve been listening to a lot of Ice Cube, Tupac, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole…”
Few months ago, Eminem’s iconic track “Lose Yourself” surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. To celebrate the achievement, Eminem shared a short video clip, dedicated to the accolades of the song.
Eminem’s manager, Paul Rosenberg re-shared the video and told some inspiring story of how Eminem was creating his magnum opus: “I know you guys have probably already seen or heard about this but I had to post it too. Eminem recorded and wrote “Lose Yourself” on the set of 8 Mile movie. Whenever we had a break or down time he would run into the studio trailer and get on the mic or tweak beats when most actors would have been catching up on their rest or having a meal. In fact, Marshall wrote lyrics in his notebook (or sometimes to the dismay of the continuity watchdogs on his palms) while crouching in the corner with headphones on in between takes. Most artists do not have the good fortune of writing a classic like this under ideal circumstances let alone those described above. Its success and longevity is a testament to the dedication and genius of a rare level of talent and artistry. Congrats, Marshall! Really impressive stuff!”
Eminem’s magnum opus track “Lose Yourself” has recently hit 1 billion streams on Spotify. “Lose Yourself” was also recently joined by “Till I Collapse,” featuring Nate Dogg to the billions club.
To celebrate the achievement, Eminem shared a short video on his social media where the Detroit legend listed other accolades of the song. You can check the list and the video below:

★ Academy Award (Oscar) for Best Original Song

On Friday, Production company ATTN and Barack Obama announced that they are teaming up to launch a 5-part video series that highlights some of the biggest themes from the 44th president’s new memoir, A Promised Land, the book that became the bestseller in 2020.
“When I needed inspiration on the presidential campaign, I often turned to music. Ultimately it was rap that got my head in the right place, two songs especially: Jay Z’s “My 1st Song” and Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself.” Both were about defying odds and putting it all on the line (“Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity, to seize everything you ever wanted in one moment, would capture it? Or just let it slip…”)” – Obama said, reading a passage from his book.
Eminem responded Obama on his Instagram story with folded hands emoji. You can check out the screenshot below:
Eminem’s manager, Paul Rosenberg also praised Obama’s taste:
In an effort to reach younger audiences with his new book, A Promised Land, the former president of the United States, Barack Obama is bringing portions of the book to Instagram with a new series.
On Friday, Production company ATTN and Barack Obama announced that they are teaming up to launch a 5-part video series that highlights some of the biggest themes from the 44th president’s new memoir, a book that became the bestseller in 2020.
”In my new book, A Promised Land, I share the story of what inspired me to pursue public service and the ups and downs in my first few years of my presidency, but I wanted to share some of the most important moments with you,” Obama said in one of the video.
“That is why I am teaming up with ATTN: for a new series talking about some of the biggest moments that defined those years for me,” Obama added.
In one of his recent videos, Barack Obama recites lyrics from Eminem’s 2002 hit single “Lose Yourself” — a song which helped the president to pump him up on the 2008 campaign trail, as he writes in the book.
“When I needed inspiration on the presidential campaign, I often turned to music. Yesterday, Taylor Swift won three awards, including fan-voted “Artist of the Year” at American Music Awards 2020. Before the voting was closed, surprisingly, Eminem fans on Twitter were encouraging their platforms to vote for the country singer. Taylor earned the support from Stans by showing love to the Rap God throughout her extraordinary career. Check some of the occasions below.
1. “It’s kind of unusual when I rap but I love ‘Lose Yourself’. We were in Michigan and I started playing acoustically ‘Lose Yourself.’ I just started like ‘yo’ and everybody was like ‘what is happening?!’” says Taylor Swift in one of her interviews.
2. Taylor Swift performs ‘Lose Yourself’ at Grand Rapids, Michigan.
3. She performs it again !
4. “I love hip-hop so much. There’s something so honest about it. I grew up listening to Eminem’s ‘The Real Slim Shady’ and 50 Cent’s ‘In Da Club’. Nobody wants to hear me rap but I’d sing a chorus for someone like Eminem. Would love to get in the recording studio with Eminem. I would sign up for that in a heartbeat.” – said Taylor Swift in the April 2013 issue of InStyle magazine.
Couple of days ago, Barack Obama released a new book, titled “A Promised Land,” where the former president of the United States explains how he relates to Eminem’s Oscar-winning song “Lose Yourself” and Jay Z’s “My First Song.” You can read the chapter below:
“Ultimately it was rap that got my head in the right place, two songs especially: Jay Z’s “My 1st Song” and Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself.” Both were about defying odds and putting it all on the line (“Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity, to seize everything you ever wanted in one moment, would capture it? Or just let it slip…”); how it felt to spin something out of nothing; getting by on wit, hustle, and fear disguised as bravado. The lyrics felt tailored to my early underdog status. And as I set alone in the back of the Secret Service van on the way to a debate site, in my crisp uniform and dimpled tie, I’d nod my head to the beat of those songs, feeling a whiff of private rebellion, a connection to something gritter and more real than all the fuss and deference that now surrounded me. It was a way to cut through the artifice and remember who I was.”
One day before the release of the book, Barack Obama shared the playlist of the songs that he was listening during his presidency. You can check out the playlist here.
