Just one month after releasing his 2nd pop-punk album, titled Mainstream Sellout, Machine Gun Kelly has announced that he is done with rock music.
In a new interview with Kevan Kenney from Audacy, Machine Gun Kelly revealed that right now he feels like he has accomplished everything he wanted to do in pop-punk world, and that he now feels like it is time to return to hip-hop world — a genre where many people believe he cowered out of after losing a highly public rap feud against his idol, Eminem, back in 2018.
“I am going to make a rap album for myself. For no other reason, no point to prove, no chip on my shoulder. If I keep doing things to prove things to people, I am going to, one, drive myself crazy and, two, not make a good product.” said MGK.
“Going to do this tour and I am gonna step into where I left… Hotel Diablo and expand on my storytelling as a rapper and find a new innovative sound for the hip-hop Machine Gun Kelly. That is where my excitement is and where me as a music archeologist wants to explore.” MGK added.
B.F.L.Y., The Game’s sister, has recently chatted with Andrew Moffatt on Hip Hop XXIV where she weighted in on her brother’s plan to diss Eminem in a new single that is supposed to be titled “Black Slim Shady,” according to Game’s manager Wack 100.
“Is money involved? [laughs]. I just look at it differently. I think people will do lots of things when money involved and to get the internet running. To me it’s kind of when Kanye know 50 Cent said he would not rap anymore if Kanye outsold albums and they put out the albums on the same day. 50 Cent still put out music, he’s still putting out shows.”
“I think a lot of times things have another agenda behind them that we don’t even see. It’s family though. I like to root for my own family but I have seen and I will say this: I have seen the footage of Eminem losing a rap battle to a person that I know. His name is Outherwize. So at the end of the day, when you put your mind in anything you can do whatever you want. Sometimes I look at this music as a competition with yourself. Sometimes we say I’m better than everybody and that will probably put fire under your a** or not, it’s just going to be another talked about situation which still going to revenue money. They don’t have fame and Eminem. Like DJ Quik said, if you ain’t making money it makes no sense.” said B.F.L.Y.
Two weeks ago, Legendary New York City DJ and graffiti writer DJ Kay Slay has passed away following 4-months battle with COVID-19.
To honor hip-hop’s one of the great producers, Eminem made a statement through his own radio station, Shade 45:
“Yo, this is Eminem. Just want to say rest in peace to one of our family members here in Shade 45. Kay Slay, The Drama King, who has been with us since the beginning. It was honor to know you bro, on behalf of everybody here at the station, just wanna say, to the legend, Drama King, we love you bro. We gonna miss you, rest in peace my friend.”

Eminem also went on Twitter to say the final words to his friend: “R.I.P. Legend. We will miss you.”
Pusha T has recently visited Morning Hustle Show to promote his new album, It’s Almost Dry.
During the interview, one of the hosts asked him to name a person that people tried to make him diss but he never intended to do so. Here is what King Push replied:
“I saw just recently on Twitter people sayin’ my stuff at Eminem. I’m like ‘BROO!’ It was just misinterpretation something I said before. People decode and think their own thing. Nah man, Em is somebody that I respect. He’s one of the people that I really like what he does because after all of his success I can still find lyricist lounge Eminem. That’s a goal for me, personally.”

J.U.I.C.E., emcee from Chicago, is revered as one of Hip-Hop’s all-time elite freestylers and punchline wordsmiths however, he is also recognized for his fascinating history surrounding Eminem. He contends to be one of three artists who ever defeated Eminem in a battle, among Big Proof and Rhymefest.
In a new interview with 247HH, J.U.I.C.E. details a turn of events around Marshall Mathers that changed Hip-Hop history.
“A very special moment for me was… Well, it started out in Cincinnati when I battled Eminem. I was fortunate enough to beat him. After I beat him, Wendy Day called me and told me she was doing a Rap Olympics competition, and I told her about Eminem. She was like, ‘Who is he?’ I’m like, ‘He is the coldest rapper I have ever heard. We should bring him to Los Angeles.”
“She got us a hotel room, me, him, and Thirstin were basically staying like a room away from each other. So I am in L.A. for the Rap Olympics, it’s Wendy Day’s event. Wendy is a savant visionary who owns a company called Rap Coalition and she was the sole engineer of this Rap Olympics competition. So she got Thirstin Howl, Eminem, me, Kwest Tha Madd Lad and Wordsworth. And she got us all hotel rooms in L.A. So we were all staying by each other, cyphering… It was a crazy time. We ended up giving Eminem’s demo tape to a friend of ours named Evan Bogart who was producing for Interscope at the time. Evan gave the tape to Jimmy Iovine. Apparently, Jimmy had already got the tape from somewhere, and saw it twice. He was like, ‘Wait a minute, I gotta really look at this tape.’ So that’s basically how it happened. Then we all went to The Wake Up Show, ’cause I was gonna go anyway.”
“In Cincinnati, he was a brash young dude who had never lost a battle and so was I. He was basically like, ‘If we battle, it’s gonna be ugly.’ We were at the bar. I ordered like three Heinekens, and I gave him two, and he’s like, ‘Why’d you give me two Heinekens?’ I’m like, ‘Well, you’re Eminem; there’s one for both of y’all.’ So the mental game started there. But I knew he was as good as me – possibly better. But I felt like I had enough to pull it out if we went head-to-head. I never saw what would happen for him ’cause I never saw him getting a record deal, ’cause what we did was underground; we never did it for that. So I never thought we’d go to L.A. and then Dr. Dre, of all people, would hit him and have Jimmy behind it. And then, with Jimmy behind it, it would blow up to a level bigger than anybody else – even Snoop Dogg, and be the number one dude in the world… I never could have thought that.”
In 2017, J.U.I.C.E. publicly challenged Eminem to a battle rematch. More recently, Em’ spoke of J.U.I.C.E. on Mike Tyson’s podcast. “I got all the way to the end of the Scribble Jam battle, and then I lost to this guy named J.U.I.C.E.. To this day he is still a really good f**king rapper. He is so good that it is okay that I lost to him.”

Royce Da 5’9″ gives an opinion on a potential Verzuz between The Game and Eminem in the latest interview with Kera Dangerous.
“I think Game is a good challenge for anybody. I think people kind of underestimate what he has done. And his lyrical ability, the ni**a is a stellar emcee.” said Royce.
Royce continues: “As far as Verzuz, nah I do not think so. I do not think so unless it comes down to preference. I just feel like Eminem is just he just hit that plateau too many times over the years in terms of songs. In terms of a rap battle I think Game would have a much better shot. He would do so much better because that is his lane. When he come for somebody, he come for f**king blood. I think it will be entertaining, I mean, from what I am hearing that there a song that exists that he is supposed to be releasing so I guess we will wait to hear the song. I just hope that he does not think that s**t gonna be some sort of walk in the park because, Marshall, he does not turn another cheek man. All these motherf**kers thinking that he just sitting somewhere without no backbone, it is just not true. You are not about to push around, bully that man, you are not gonna do nothing to him, you are not gonna touch him. None of that is gonna happen. You are gonna rap your raps, they are gonna be great raps but those cards come both ways.”
“I have not heard from Marshall about this, but I guarantee you, if Game says the wrong thing in those records, Em’s going to want to respond. Now who can talk him out of response, I do not know, I do not think I am one of those people, I do not even know if I would try to talk him out of it. It will be fun to see what happens.” Royce added.
Joe Budden has recently visited Math Hoffa, Smoke DZA, ESSO, MR MECC and HYNAKEN on My Expert Opinion where the crew briefly talked about a beef with Eminem.
“I don’t even remember that s**t. I don’t have nothing to say about Eminem diss. I don’t need an opportunity to diss a rapper. It’s my action and my though that I have processed this myself. It’s awesome that a rapper with that magnitude threw it for whatever reason but the reason does not matter. If I wanted to diss him and I would diss him. I’m not giving this to clickbait culture ‘Joe Budden disses Eminem…'” said Joe.
Then the crew continue talking about The Game challenging Eminem into a battle.
Snoop Dogg has recently appeared on the Full Send Podcast where he talked about many topics, including Eminem.
During the interview, one of the hosts asked if Eminem does anything nowadays, on which Snoop replied: “He do what he has to do. When you have been the biggest rapper in the world for so many years it’s like ‘what more can you do?’ He’s finding his moments now. When he wants to come and when he wants to drop and pop because his fanbase ain’t going nowhere.”
Few seconds later, interviewer asked Snoop how he feels about rappers going at Eminem in disrespectful way: “Those rappers are sitting in the shell right now and one thing what they gonna do is make him pop that motherf**king shell open. People take shots at rappers like that it’s because they are invisible for the moment but that’s the way of getting back visible, when you start poking the bear. He still is who he is. Don’t get it f**ked up. When you poke the bear with your nails, you get your nails broke.”
Royce Da 5’9″ has recently done an interview with Kera Dangerous where the two talked about trending topics, asked by fans on social media.
One of the fans’ question came about Eminem: “I hate to ask cause I know Royce HATES Eminem questions but is Royce on the upcoming Eminem album?”
Royce replied: “I did not know I hated Eminem questions [Laughs]. No, let me clarify. I don’t hate the Em questions at all. Eminem is part of my journey. He’s such a big megastar and people don’t get to hear from him a lot. So I think when people look at my interviews, they enjoy me speaking about him in such as candid way. I call him Marshall and when I speak about him like he’s human, that’s interesting for people but it don’t bother me when people ask me Em questions. I’d be bothered if it stops. So with Em, I don’t mind answering this question about his album.”
Then he continues: “So, to answer your question Briccs, me and Em have few songs laying around in the tuck. I don’t know if any of them are going to be on his album as of yet and I don’t even know if he’s working on an album. I know he’s recording some songs right now. He called me couple of days ago and told me he wanted me to get into the studio sooner than later and check out some songs that he has but I don’t know what they are for. He is always recording, though.”
