According to Michael “Harry-O” Harris, the convicted drug kingpin who provided the funding for Suge Knight’s Death Row Records and was released from federal prison in January 2021 after serving more than 30 years, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are recording an album together.
In the latest episode of KG Certified, Harry-O revealed that two legends are back in the studio making another project together.
“It hits me sometimes when I’m sitting with Dre and Snoop, and just watchin’ these guys and who they became. I was just talkin’ to Doctor the other day, I talk to all the Death Row family, and we’re gonna all come together and do some incredible things. Because all of it has grown from our different journeys. It’s multiple stories that will be told, and we will make sure that everybody that was a part of somethin’ gets what they got comin.’” – said Harris
From there, Harris revealed that Snoop and Dre are hard at work in the studio on a new album. According to him, the new music reminds him of the chemistry the two artists displayed while working on Dr. Dre’s 1992 solo debut classic album The Chronic.
“Now you got Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre doing another album together. I was blessed to sit there the other day and watch them.” he added.

Legendary rapper and producer Dr. Dre has spent the last 2 years working on at least a dozen albums’ worth of material.
In the clip, shared on social media couple of days ago, Dre can be seen sitting behind a mixing desk in a studio, while Busta Rhymes looks at him inquisitively.
After being asked a question about his output, the Compton : “Ni**a, I got… Yeah, 247 songs during the pandemic, and then we paused and did a whole album with Marsha Ambrosius. That’s f**king nutso – and then we came back, and … I did the Grand Theft Auto s**t, and now we’re working on my ni**a Snoop Dogg. And you know, we are two days in right now and we’ve got, what, like six bangers?”
The “Grand Theft Auto shit” that Dre mentioned refers to the six songs he made for the Grand Theft Auto Online expansion The Contract, which was released last December and featured Dre as a character. Songs also featured guest appearances from Eminem, Anderson .Paak, Rick Ross, Nipsey Hussle, Snoop Dogg and Ty Dolla $ign.
Next month Dre also performed alongside Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak for this year’s Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Last Friday, Eminem and Snoop Dogg debuted the new single, “From the D 2 The LBC,” live on stage at ApeFest 2022, an annual gathering for BAYC and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) holders.
The private festival took place in New York and also saw musical acts performances from Lil Wayne, Lil Baby, Future, LCD Soundsystem, Haim and others.
The prominent NFT collection’s native Ethereum token, ApeCoin, climbed over 22% overnight, according to data from CoinGecko. As of this writing, the coin was worth $4.92, down slightly from its morning peak of $5.26. In the last week, ApeCoin has risen some 35%.
The price increase signifies a minor rebound from what has otherwise been a disproportionately brutal month for the token, which recently fell some 65% at a pace distinct even for the current bear market.
Just in late April, ApeCoin’s price hit an all-time-high of almost $27 in anticipation of virtual land NFT sales for the BAYC’s metaverse game, Otherside. ApeCoin can be used by holders to vote on ApeCoin DAO governance proposals.
ApeCoin’s recent price spike may have been caused in part by the Friday release of a new music video by Eminem and Snoop Dogg, in which the legendary rappers and noted BAYC ambassadors transform into animated versions of their Bored Ape avatars. The music video, which trended on YouTube throughout the weekend, has garnered almost 9 million views.
Eminem and Snoop Dogg have just collaborated on a new track called “From The D 2 The LBC” from upcoming “Curtain Call 2” album. The legendary rappers performed the new single live on stage at ApeFest 2022 for Bored Ape Yacht Club holders. The NFT.NYC side event was an exclusive event for NFT holders and the new track even gave cryptophobic people the feeling of FOMO.
Along with the song and music video, Em and Snoop also dropped BAYC merchandise. The merch was only available to MAYC and BAYC holders, and it was only redeemable using ApeCoin. Holders had 48 hours to claim the drop, with only one item available to each holder.
Earlier this year, Eminem created ripples in the metaverse with a Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT, which cost him 123.45 Ether which was approximately $450,000 at that time. The purchase of BAYC #9055 was done by the account holder Shady_Holdings on OpenSea. The NFT was bought from its owner Geegazza who couldn’t contain his excitement on social media.
Champ Medici, Web 3 Architect and founder of Crypto fund, shared a story how he got Paul Rosenberg and Eminem into NFT business through Snoop Dogg.
“I saw Paul Rosenberg eating dinner at the Barclays November 3rd 2021 and I didn’t hesitate to tell him to bring Eminem to this space, he wasn’t convinced so I had my client Snoop Dogg call Em November 21st to convince him.” said Champ Medici and then he shared a video of the phone-call and screenshot of text messages with Paul Rosenberg.
“My son run past Paul about this NFT world we got with metaworld and metaverse that you definitely need to get in cause s**t over there.” tells Snoop to Eminem and Em responds: “That’s crazy idea. I don’t even know you could do that.”
Then Champ continues tweeting: “A few months later Nick Yads and The Champ flew to New York City to meet with Paul Rosenberg again to walk him through how it would work and what ideas we thought would best fit their brand. Both Parties own Bored Ape so we felt it was extremely aligned to make the music video cross over.”
“We ran the idea by Yuga Labs and it was green lit light. We flew to Detroit right after closing Garyvee VeeCon in Minnesota 30 days later the music video was completed and history was made. Eight months and some change it took to make this happen.” Champ added while sharing the video of Eminem and Snoop Dogg watching music video of “From The D 2 The LBC.”
“I’m not bragging or making this about me it’s just a beautiful thing to see how time works and ideas are always on our side. To any go getters out there that may have to go through a journey of people fully not understanding your vision stay down for the come have faith and be patient.” he said at the end of his tweet series.
Eminem has teamed up with Snoop Dogg for a powerhouse hip-hop partnership — while hinting at a new album on deck.
“From the D 2 to the LBC,” a nod to Eminem’s hometown of Detroit and Snoop’s of Long Beach, California, hit streaming services overnight Friday, accompanied by a video that finds the two legendary rappers morphing into animated Bored Ape-style characters.
“It’s been a minute. This probably should have happened a while ago,” Eminem said on social media to introduce the new song while hashtagging “Curtain Call 2,” hinting on second part of the greatest hits album.
