Skylar Grey has recently hit Instagram to celebrate “8 Mile” movie and soundtrack album’s 20th year anniversary.

Skylar Grey posted a video on her social media account where she plays the intro of the Oscar-winning single “Lose Yourself.” In the caption, she wrote: “One of the best songs of all time [Black heart emoji] @eminem #loseyourself.”

Today, Eminem has released an expanded deluxe edition of his 8 Mile movie’s soundtracks album to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his classic battle rap film and its accompanying compilation album.

Released on November 8, 2002, 8 Mile marked Eminem’s first lead acting role in a movie and centered around a semi-biographical retelling of his Detroit upbringing and origins as a battle rapper. Also starring Mekhi Phifer, Kim Basinger and the late Brittany Murphy, the film has grossed more than $240 million worldwide and remains one of the highest-rated Hip-Hop movies ever made. It also opened at No. 1, grossing $51,240,555 from 2,470 theaters.

Its soundtrack album, 8 Mile: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture, arrived one week earlier and boasted features from rap heavyweights like JAY-Z, Nas, 50 Cent, Rakim and Gang Starr. It debuted at No. 1 on US Billboard 200 with more than 700,000 copies sold.

It also includes Eminem’s magnum opus single “Lose Yourself” which became the first rap song to win Best Original Song at the Oscars. It also won Best Rap Song and Best Male Rap Solo Performance at the 2004 Grammy Awards, while earning Slim Shady his first ever No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song is now certified 13x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), meaning, it has sold more than 13,000,000 units in the United States alone.

Crowd goes crazy as Mark Pope raps Eminem’s “Lose Yourself”

Mark Edward Pope, who is basketball coach and former player who is the nineteenth and current head coach of Brigham Young University’s (BYU) men’s basketball team, has left the crowed stunned as he rapped “Lose Yourself” before the match.

Mark Pope played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats, where he was part of a the Wildcats 1996 championship team, and the Washington Huskies, where he was the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year. He later played professionally in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets.

“Lose Yourself” is song composed and produced by Eminem with Jeff Bass and Luis Resto. It was released on October 28, 2002 as the lead single from the 8 Mile soundtracks album.

The song was a huge commercial success, becoming Eminem’s first US Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single and remaining there for 12 consecutive weeks.

It received acclaim from music critics, with many critics praising the song’s inspiring, aggressive themes and describing it as Eminem’s best work to date.

The music video of “Lose Yourself” received the MTV Video Music Award for Best Video from a Film. The single itself won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, making it the first hip hop song to achieve this accolade. It also won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Solo Performance.

In 2004, “Lose Yourself” was one of only three hip-hop songs from the 21st century to be included on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

The song is certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling more than 13 million units in the United States alone.

New “Minions: The Rise of Gru” trailer features Eminem’s “Lose Yourself”

Minions: The Rise of Gru (also known as Minions 2) is the sequel to the spin-off prequel Minions (2015) and the fifth entry overall in the Despicable Me franchise.

Directed by Kyle Balda, with Brad Ableson and Jonathan del Val as co-directors, the animated movie will premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 13, 2022, and is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on July 1 by Universal Pictures.

The intense, almost three minutes trailer, features the remixed version of Eminem’s diamond selling, Oscar and Grammy winning, a motivational anthem, “Lose Yourself,” from 8 Mile Soundtracks album.

“One shot. One opportunity. Time to show the world who’s mini boss. #Minions: The Rise of Gru. In theaters this July.” said Eminem on social media while sharing the trailer of the film.

Lizzo does karaoke to Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” at her Christmas party

Detroit rapper and singer Lizzo hosted her nearest and dearests at her Christmas party.

The 33-year-old Grammy-winning artist arranged a karaoke setup in her home theater and gave her own renditions of multiple songs.

One of her selections was Eminem’s “Lose Yourself,” the Oscar and Grammy-winning song from 2002 movie, 8 Mile.

Tyson Fury & his wife rap “Lose Yourself” at a party after beating Deontay Wilder

After stopping Denotay Wilder and defending his title, Tyson Fury and his wife celebrated the win along with Eminem’s smash hit “Lose Yourself” at pool afterparty on Monday.

The notorious The Gypsy King had to pick himself up off the canvas twice in the fourth before he rallied to beat Wilder.

After retaining his WBC Heavyweight Championship the boxing legend went out into Sin City and after a short period of break, the celebrations carried on the next day.

As Eminem’s legendary track was playing in the background, the cameraman asked the undefeated heavyweight whose next on which Fury responded: “Any motherf***** born from his mother!” while his wife passionately rapped the song.

About a month ago, Jacob Elordi was at Jimmy Kimmel’s show where he talked to guest host Julie Bowen about having a crush on her, learning how to do an American accent by listening to Eminem, spending time in Australia during the beginning of the pandemic with his parents, growing a mullet and his girlfriend cutting it off, “Euphoria” season 2 coming out and using stunt penis’, and The Kissing Booth 3 on Netflix.

“When I was younger and I decided to be an actor and there was not way I come here and not be able to do the accent and I listened to a lots of Eminem. I was like enormous Eminem fan.” – said Jacob.

Jake Paul quotes Eminem as he offers Tommy Fury his own $1M for fight

Jake Paul has just sent Tommy Fury an ultimatum, offering to pay him $1million of his ‘own money from his pocket’ to make the fight night happen.

Fury revealed he has rejected couple of offers to fight the social media and now boxing star, saying those offers ‘were not worth getting out of bed for’.

Yesterday, Paul shared the video on social media, titled ‘My final message to Tommy Fury’ where he quoted Eminem’s lines from his legendary song “Lose Yourself”: “Tommy, no one gives a f**k about you. If it was not for your older brother Tyson Fury, who I respect, or your catfish girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague, we all made you famous. You did not make yourself famous.”

Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” was played during Weightlifting at Olympic Games in Tokyo 🇬🇪

Lasha Talakhadze (+109 kg), a Georgian wrestler, current Olympic, World, Europe champion and the creator of numerous world and Olympic records, has just become the gold medal winner at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Talakhadze of Georgia has set three world records to retain his title in the heaviest men’s weightlifting category, while Syria earned its first medal since the country’s civil war began.

Talakhadze lifted a world-record 223 kilograms in the snatch and 265 in the clean and jerk for a total 488. All three figures broke his own world records in the over-109kg category.

Wembley played Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” before penalties at EURO 2020 finals between Italy & England

England suffered a penalty shoot-out loss in the final of EURO 2020 against Italy, as the biggest night in the nation’s recent footballing history ended in heartbreak on the pitch and trouble outside.

Ticketless fans stormed the gates before kick-off with some forcing their way into the stands at Wembley where the Three Lions lost 3-2 on penalties to Italy following a 1-1 draw in the full time.

The Wembley PA blared out Eminem’s 2002 hit song ‘Lose Yourself’ as the penalty takers were decided: “If you had one shot, or one opportunity, to seize everything you ever wanted, in one moment, would you capture it, or just let it slip?”

Our Last Night did it again – the band released a new cover. For their latest cover, they grabbed the Eminem classic song “Lose Yourself” and gave it a completely new approach.

“Hope everyone’s having a great weekend. We’ve got a new cover coming out next week & it’s a throwback song. Any guesses??!” they wrote on Instagram last week and couple of days ago they dropped “Lose Yourself”
