Eminem & Madd Rapper’s song was mentioned in Kanye West’s Netflix documentary “Jeen-Yuhs”

jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy on finally out on Netflix!

The three-part documentary, which premiered its first episode this weekend at the virtual Sundance Film Festival and dropped via Netflix network on successive Wednesdays beginning February 16, attempts to capture the swirling contradictions of Kanye West, a pop-culture icon who resists being boxed in by conventional labels. Rapper or producer? Musician or fashion designer? Benz or backpack? Yeezus or Ye? West’s consistent refusal to choose one identity might be his greatest gift as an artist.

While watching the documentary, suddenly Eminem’s name popped up. In the old video footage, Kanye West is promoting The Madd Rapper’s “Stir Crazy” track, featuring Slim Shady.

“Yo, it’s Kanye to the platinum producer. Kon-Man Produc coming at you. Finna start working on that ‘uno’ project. Also my Krazy Kat family, Deric Angelettie, Madd Rapper, go get their six joints and their joint with Eminem on there, Mase, Raekwon.” says Kanye.

Eminem reaches a monumental career achievement on U.K. & U.S. chart

Following the Super Bowl performance, Eminem is celebrating a monumental career achievement: his greatest hits album, Curtain Call: The Hits, is the first hip-hop album to spend 500 weeks (and counting) on the United Kingdom charts.

Originally released back in December 2005 (debuting at No. 1 on UK charts), the record hasn’t left the album charts in the 17 years since. Even more notably, it has primarily remained in the Top 50 albums of the charts each week.

Curtain Call is charting at Number 8 this week in the UK. The 8x Platinum album last appeared in the Top 10 back in 2006.

Eminem’s greatest hits album and Dr. Dre’s “2001” album also see a massive boost in the United States Billboard charts and both albums sold +30,000 each this week. “Curtain Call: The Hits” is the longest-charting hip-hop album in history with almost 570 weeks on chart.

Eminem responds to Rudy Giuliani with diss track | The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

During his radio program called Rudy Guiliani Show, American politician and attorney, Rudy Giuliani, who served as the 107th Mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001, urged Eminem to leave the country after taking a knee at the Super Bowl 2022 halftime show.

“Let’s get right to Eminem taking a knee. Why does not he go to another country? I mean, go take a knee someplace else. Do you know how many cops were defending him and protecting him at that game yesterday? I mean crime is way out of control in Los Angeles.” he said.

Eminem has not responded yet and he might never but CBS has just dropped the diss track of Rudy Giuliani using “Lose Yourself” beat in their sketch of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Eminem wishes Dr. Dre a Happy Birthday

Today we celebrate the birth of probably the most influential figures in the history of hip-hop: Dr. Dre, the living legend who turns 57.

Not only was he the first rap billionaire, but he also had a key role (literally and figuratively) in the birth of G-Funk, a new sub-genre of rap.

Dr. Dre’s life and work have shaped Rap and Hip Hop into what they are now. Who knows where rap music would be today if not for his impact. Because of Dre, we have Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game, Kendrick Lamar and Anderson .Paak to name a few.

Eminem has just wished the legendary producer a happy birthday on Twitter by sharing a picture of their Super Bowl performance with the caption: “STOP THE BEAT A MINUTE… Dre, I got something 2 say: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”
