While we are waiting for long-awaited sophomore LP titled “More Black Superheroes,” which is led by two singles “Aight,” featuring Shelley aka DRAM and “Stuck,” Westside Boogie made his third visit to the L.A. Leakers at Power 106 to deliver some serious bars over the instrumentals for Benny The Butcher’s “Johnny P’s Caddy,” featuring J. Cole and Kanye West’s “Drive Slow” and brought his alter egos SuperBlood Boog and Ratchet Boog with him.
Some of the memorable bars include: “The rhythm I had to catch, the strings that I had to stretch, I’ve been beat, but it’s all instrumental to my success, I’m in deep, I took too many lefts and lost my direction, how I end up on this search to be accepted? The lessons say the world in my possession, I could reach it ’cause it’s near, yea I’m hungry but I feed into the fears, know you, least I been aware, you know, in my mind I’m screaming out for air, ’cause I swear it’s more deep than it appears…”
“More Black Superheroes” is the follow-up for his 2019 Shady Records debut album “Everythings For Sale” which included 13 songs and guest appearances from JID, Eminem, 6LACK, Christian Scott, Shaé Universe, and Snoh Aalegra.
In a recent installment of REVLOT magazine’s “Tour Tales,” Michael “Blue” Williams discusses starting on the road with Jodeci in the ‘90s, why Outkast had to leave Eminem’s 2001 European tour early, and more.
Interviewer: On Eminem’s All Access Europe DVD, he was hanging out with Outkast. What were those shows like?
Michael Williams: We were supposed to do the entire European run with Em. Big Boi’s wife went into labor, and we had to leave because he wanted to get back for the birth of his son. We still missed it, and he was mad at me about that. Those seven dates we did with Em were still crazy. The venues Em was doing were huge, and the crowds were also Outkast fans. Germany and these other countries knew all the words. It was an amazing run. It actually led to the greatest tour that never happened. The greatest tour I ever tried to pull together was going to be called ‘The Greatest Show On Turf,’ and it’d have Outkast, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and JAY-Z. We were going to do stadiums.
Interviewer: Wait, what?
Michael Williams: This had to be around 2005/2006. It was going to be each of them representing their blocks, so to speak. The stage was going to be each person’s neighborhood or block. We were going to do two stages that rotated. One stage would be the south, and then it’d flip around to New York. The other stage would be Detroit with Em, and Snoop with the west coast. Everybody would’ve brought out people from their crews. We couldn’t pull it off.
Interviewer: Was everyone on board besides Andre 3000?
Legendary mentor and consultant for hip-hop artists, Wendy Day, has recently sat down with Andrew Moffatt on Hip Hop XXIV where the two talked about her meeting Eminem for the first time and how Eminem handled people who where pointing out his skin color.
“Eminem was rapping outside of the hotel, I was there and I had a rapper with me called Rhymefest. Rhymefest is a rapper who wrote ‘Jesus Walks’ for Kanye West. When we got to the hotel, Rhymefest stayed outside to rap, I went inside. And by the time I got out, an hour had passed and we were starving. I hopped in a car, Rhymefest left the cypher and hopped in a car, he handed me Eminem’s demo and said: ‘You should listen to this, he can really rap.'”
“I was not focused on music, I really just wanted to get something to eat. And then Rhymefest did a full turn to look at me, I felt his eyes burning through my head and I was like ‘WHAT?’ and he said, ‘that’s really messed up, you know how hard it is being a white in a rap music industry and you are not even listening to his demo, that’s really f**ked up.’ And I agreed, I popped it in and it was really amazing.”
“I made an U-turn, when back to the hotel told Em to get in. We all drove together to eat. I sat there for hours just talking to him and Rhymefest to explain what publishing is and how to get a record deal. Just sharing as much knowledge as I had at that time.”
“Once I got back to New York, I had just done the deal for Twista at Atlantic records and I had just helped Do Or Die to put out their music independently, so I had the attention of all of the record labels at that point in time, so I shopped Eminem’s demo but nobody wanted to sign a white rapper, they admitted that he was talented but there was a fear that white rapper would not sell, this is ’96 or ’97. There was still a fear that white rapper would not do well so I ended up doing an event called ‘Rap Olympics’ and Eminem was part of my team. Although my team didn’t win, Jay Smooth’s team won, my team was able to go to the Wake Up show which is Sway and Tech and Dr. Dre heard him rapping at Wake Up show and went up to the station to see who this amazing lyricist was and it was Eminem.”
“His lyrical ability…He had ability to rap and rhyme three and four syllables and that was just amazing. You know, most rappers could do one or two but he was rhyming three or four syllables at that time and lyrics made sense!” – said Wendy.
In another clip, Wendy talks how the music industry record labels rejected Eminem because of him being white. You can watch the videos below:
Last week, news media outlets reported that season finale would be the last Saturday Night Live appearance from comedian Pete Davidson, who joined the cast back in 2014.
In a cut-for-time musical sketch, Davidson poked fun at SNL mastermind Lorne Michaels while parodying Dr. Dre and Eminem’s song “Forgot About Dre.” Davidson’s version — aptly titled “Forgot About Lorne” — was interrupted by Eminem himself, who told Davidson, “I would just stop. They all suck,” referring to Davidson’s various Eminem spoofs. “It’s really bad,” Eminem added.
Kanye West’s love-hate relationship with Saturday Night Live got even more complicated after his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, started dating cast member Pete Davidson in 2021. Now, Ye fans are not happy with Eminem doing sketches with Pete too.
Couple of hours ago, Eminem previewed a new song titled “The King And I,” featuring CeeLo Green, which is from the soundtracks album of new “Elvis” movie.

Aftermath producer and a close friend of Dr. Dre, Fredwreck, has just revealed that the song “The King And I” is produced by none other than Dre himself. “Em n Elvis, produced by Dre” wrote “Framed” producer on his Instagram story.
The soundtracks album also features songs from Doja Cat, Denzel Curry, Jazmine Sullivan, Nardo Wick, Swae Lee, among others. Check the official poster with the names below:
Eminem’s second single “Love The Way You Lie,” featuring Rihanna, has recently surpassed 2.4 billion views on YouTube, making it one of the most watched music videos on the platform.
The video was directed by Joseph Kahn. For the music video, Kahn considered the British actor Dominic Monaghan as a co-star for his versatility, which he thought would help him play an antagonist. He is most known for his roles in the “Lord Of The Rings” and “Lost” TV series.
Kahn also casted one of the biggest starts in Hollywood, Megan Fox, which he had presumed would be almost impossible because of her popularity with directors but Fox, a fan of Eminem, accepted the role without hesitation.
Rosenberg gave Kahn one day to write a treatment, which Kahn finished in 45 minutes. He filmed Eminem’s and Rihanna’s parts on July 20, 2010 scenes with Fox and Monaghan were shot three days later.
With the video recently hitting 2.4 billion views, Monaghan could not resist not to celebrate it on his Instagram story with the caption that reads: “2.4 billion views on YouTube, it remains the great Eminem’s most watched video.”
Eminem’s fourth solo studio album, The Eminem Show, has just surpassed 4 billion streams on Spotify, making it the only album in any genres of music from 2000s to achieve this milestone.
Widely considered the most anticipated album of 2002, The Eminem Show debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 and stood there for 6 non-consecutive weeks. It sold over 1.3 million copies in its second week in the US, where it registered a full week of sales.
The Eminem Show was both the best-selling album of 2002 in the United States and the best-selling album worldwide of 2002. In 2022, it was certified 12 times platinum by the RIAA and hold the diamond certification for selling 12,000,000 copies in the country. Its worldwide sales of 27 million copies make it one of the best-selling albums of all time and the second best-selling album of the 21st century.
At the 2003 Grammy Awards, it was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best Rap Album, while “Without Me” won Best Music Video. It’s non-single track “Till I Collapse” also remains the most streamed workout song on Spotify with almost 1.4 billion streams.
Since Logic announced he was coming out of rap retirement with a seventh studio album earlier this year, fans have been eagerly awaiting news of the release. The retirement, which was more of a year-long break, saw Logic later release a compilation and mixtape titled YS Collection Vol. 1 and Bobby Tarantino III respectively.
The Maryland rapper recently took to Instagram to share that he is officially ready to unveil to the world his upcoming album which will be titled Vinyl Days. To promote the new project, Logic did question and answer session on Twitter.
One of the fans asked what was the most surreal moment he has ever had on which he replied: “Probably meeting Eminem… Like, dude, I used to record his songs from the radio onto a cassette and listen over and over because I was too poor to afford buying music. ‘Forgot About Dre’ was literally on side A and B of a tape I made Nardwuar, there is a fact lol.”

Pete Davidson had one final treat for Saturday Night Live viewers before ending his 7 season run: a rap tribute video to the show’s creator, Lorne Michaels.
The skit, which was apparently cut for time, begins with host Natasha Lyonne informing Davidson that Michaels is depressed because the two never got to make a rap video together.
Using Dr. Dre and Eminem’s hit song “Forgot the Dre,” David proceeds to honor Michaels’ legacy by ratting off his many accomplishments but suddenly, Davidson’s video is cut short when none other than Eminem appears to remind the comedian that this is the third time he has parodied one of his songs (see: “Stu” and “NFTs”). “Pete! What you doing man? Is it another parody? It’s another tribute or something? I would just stop. They all suck. Stop. Just please, stop. It’s really bad.”
Then Davidson attempts to explain he’s merely paying tribute to the rapper, Marshall Mathers shuts him down and warns: “Pete, don’t f**king do it again!”
On September 27, 2021 a strange 30-second video clip appeared on Eminem’s YouTube channel: not a music video teaser, or the first few verses of a new rap single, but a quick-moving advertisement. It appeared, Marshall Mathers, the man who brought white working-class angst to the top of the charts, was opening a restaurant.
Two days later, the legendary rapper surprised fans at the grand opening in downtown Detroit, where he served heaping ladlefuls of pasta to a queue of customers that snaked around the block.
Mom’s Spaghetti is named for the famed first verse of “Lose Yourself,” a single written for the movie “8 Mile” that sold more than 10 million copies in the United States and earned Eminem diamond certification, Oscar and Grammy awards.
Inside the restaurant there is Stans’ space called “Trailer” — a merchandise shop above the dining area — where you can see Eminem-themed pint glasses, T-shirts, sneakers, the Robin costume from the music video for “Without Me,” and much more.
It appears, Tech N9ne visited Detroit couple of days ago and he didn’t miss a chance to visit Eminem’s place in the city. He posted two videos on his Instagram, one which gives the look of the Trailer and the other where he tastes “Mom’s Spaghetti.” In the caption, Tech wrote: “DOPE AF!” while tagging Eminem.
DaBaby is spending some time unwinding in Lagos, Nigeria, with Nigerian singer named Davido. He posted a series of photos in the city on his Instagram account with the caption, “Davido got me feeling like I am home.”
In one video, DaBaby grins as Davido drives him through Lagos streets in a baby blue Lamborghini. In another video, it seems like the luxury car is being escorted by a cavalcade of police cars.
It seems like Nigerian fans have been delighted by the American rapper’s visit, swarming him wherever he shows his face. It certainly appears like he is not being inconspicuous. In a video make the rounds on social media, DaBaby is filmed giving what looks like a hundred dollar bill to a local who sold him chips.
In another video, Baby is dumping Eminem’s “Farewell” from Music To Be Murdered By album while driving in the streets of Lagos. You can watch the videos from his Instagram story below:
Couple of hours ago, Eminem went on Twitter to react on Kendrick Lamar’s new album by praising Dr. Dre: “Yo Dr. Dre this Kendrick album is f**cking ridiculous. I am speechless.” – wrote Slim Shady.
Yo @DrDre this Kendrick album is f****** ridiculous. I’m speechless.
Under the reply section, Kxng Crooked made a mysterious tweet: “Save me 16 on the next one bro (maybe 32),” implying that he sent Eminem less than 16 bars for their new song. Or this might be a super reach.
