Tom MacDonald thinks Eminem dissed him on “Last One Standing”

Couple of weeks ago, Skylar Grey, Mozzy, Polo G and Eminem dropped “Last One Standing,” a theme song for Venom: Let There Be Carnage movie.

In the song, Eminem continues taking shots at today’s rappers with the following lines: “Rappers, how can we be / On the same level now when I gotta look down and see these / Clowns that are on the ground? / B**ch, I got clouds beneath me.”

Tom MacDonald, who has shouted out Eminem in many occasions, thinks it’s a jab towards him and its a response to his song titled “Don’t Look Down,” where the Canadian rapper raps: “I’m scared if I look at the water, I’ll drown / So I look at the sky and deny there’s a ground / I’m not scared of the altitude up in the clouds / I’m scared of the fall, so I don’t look down.”

Tom posted the lyrics of both songs on his Instagram with the  caption: “Did Eminem REALLY diss me in his new song?”

Some people even think it’s a diss towards NF as one of the fans commented: “He could’ve dissed you, or possibly NF since he released an album called CLOUDS. Personally, the way he put “clowns” in there makes me believe it’s a jab at Tom since he made a song called Clown World, but I’m not sure.”

Check out the post below:

If you are interested in my opinion, I think Eminem didn’t say those lyrics with any particular rapper(s) in his mind. I even think Em does not care about NF or Tom MacDonald music but that’s just my opinion.

Dave Chappelle namedrops Eminem while making fun of Caitlyn Jenner on “The Closer” special

Dave Chappelle is facing huge backlash from LGBTQ+ community over jokes he made during his 6th and probably final standup special for Netflix’s show called, “The Closer” which was held in Detroit.

One of the greatest comedians is being criticized for seemingly doubling down on comments he made about the transgender community in his previous special which was titled “Sticks & Stones,” and he is showing no signs of contrition since prominent LGBTQ+ organizations have spoken out against him and entire Netflix company for giving him a platform to talk and make jokes about sensitive topics.

Dave touched lots of controversial themes, including defending DaBaby, J.K. Rowling and her statement that ‘gender is a fact’ which, actually, is a fact.

He also made few jokes about Caitlyn Jenner and that’s where the Eminem mention comes into the play: “Caitlyn Jenner was voted WOMAN OF THE YEAR. Her first year as a woman. She is better than every bi**ch in Detroit. Ain’t that something? Maybe he even had a period. Ain’t that something? I’d be mad a s**t if I was a woman. If I was at BET Award sitting there and they announce like ‘Award for The Ni**er of the Year goes to: EMINEM.’ My man!”

Tyson Fury & his wife rap “Lose Yourself” at a party after beating Deontay Wilder

After stopping Denotay Wilder and defending his title, Tyson Fury and his wife celebrated the win along with Eminem’s smash hit “Lose Yourself” at pool afterparty on Monday.

The notorious The Gypsy King had to pick himself up off the canvas twice in the fourth before he rallied to beat Wilder.

After retaining his WBC Heavyweight Championship the boxing legend went out into Sin City and after a short period of break, the celebrations carried on the next day.

As Eminem’s legendary track was playing in the background, the cameraman asked the undefeated heavyweight whose next on which Fury responded: “Any motherf***** born from his mother!” while his wife passionately rapped the song.

Kanye West joins Eminem in historical RIAA achievement

Few days ago, Kanye West’s “Stronger” was certified diamond in the United States for selling 10,000,000 units in the country, becoming only the second rapper in history to produce his own diamond single.

Until today, Eminem was only other rapper to produce his own Diamond song, TWICE: “Lose Yourself” and “Not Afraid” are both diamond certified and they are produced by Slim Shady himself. “Love The Way You Lie,” with Rihanna is also diamond but the production credits fully goes to Alex Da Kid.

This mark’s the first ever diamond certification for Kanye West, while Eminem has five diamond certifications. Three for singles and two for albums (The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show)

Reportedly, Curtain Call: The Hits and Recovery albums are also close to diamond certifications.

Top 10 guest verses from Eminem in the last 10 years

In the last decade (since 2011), Eminem was featured in 38 songs but we did our best to choose 10 of the best Eminem guest verses. Check out the list below and tell us your opinions in the comment sections of our social media accounts.

10. Tech N9ne – “Speedom,” ft. Krizz Kaliko & Eminem (2015)

Since Eminem and Tech N9ne appeared together on 1999 song “The Anthem,” fans of both camps have wanted to see these two lyrical monsters to collaborate and it finally happened in 2015. In an interview with Sway, Tech described the song as a “puzzle” and revealed that Eminem didn’t ask money for the feature. Em asked for a verse in exchange. Later, that verse appeared on Shady Records soundtracks album for Southpaw movie, a track called “Beast” which also featured Busta Rhymes and Kxng Crooked.

9. Logic – “Homicide” ft. Eminem (2019)

“Homicide” is the third single released from Logic’s 2019 album, titled Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The track exhibits Logic and Eminem’s rapid-fire flows. The title seems to assert that they are lyrically murdering their detractors and non-lyrical rappers.

8. Conway The Machine – “BANG” ft. Eminem (2019)

“BANG” marks the first official collaboration between Eminem and Griselda’s heavyweight Conway the Machine. The track has an aggressive tone and two emcees are trading verse over hadcore banger produced by Beat Butcha and Daringer. In a song, Eminem asks his followers to compare him to one of the greats: “Compare me to Nas, Biggie, or Pac / Do not compare me to that Iggy b***h / Or all this f**kin’ Milli Vanilli hip-hop.” There is also the original version of the song in the internet where Eminem namedrops even more people but it was never released officially.

7. Nas – “EPMD 2,” ft. EPMD & Eminem (2021)

If we don’t count “Topless”, this is also the first ever collaboration between these legendary rappers. The track serves as the sequel to Nas’ February 2021 track, which also features producer Hit-Boy, who co-produced this song as well. In a song, Eminem shouts out some of the hip-hop’s greats with unmatchable flow: “I just pray for the day when I’m able to say that I’m placed with the greats / And my name’s with the Kane’s and the Wayne’s, and the Jay’s and the Dre’s / And the Ye’s, and the Drake’s and the J Dilla’s, Jada’s, Cool J’s / And the Ra’s and amazin’ as Nas is, and praise to the Gods of this / Shout to the golden age of Hip-Hop and the name of this song is EPMD.”

6. Royce 5’9″ – “Caterpillar,” ft. Eminem (2018)

“Caterpillar” is one of many fantastic collaborations between Bad and Evil. In an interview with HotNewHipHop, Royce describes the track: “The basic theme of the song is, ‘Don’t disrespect the caterpillar to praise the butterfly.‘ Marshall falls a little bit more into that category than I do, but both of us are caterpillars. A lot of times, you will praise these guys but gotta tear us down…But where do you think his style came from?”

5. Grip – “Walkthrough!” ft. Eminem (2021)

Few months ago, Grip joined Eminem’s Shady Records and soon after dropped his debut album I Died For This!? which includes a track “Walkthrough!” featuring his boss, Eminem. “I made that song with Em in mind. And when I played him the album, I just remember him saying that hook is nuts.” said Grip in an interview with Complex. Eminem’s verse was so fresh even YouTube reactors were surprised.

4. Yelawolf – “Best Friend,” ft. Eminem (2015)

In 2015, Yelawolf released his second Shady Records album “Love Story,” with only one feature on it: Eminem. While Yela approaches the instrumental with spiritual tone, Eminem goes into full aggressive mode spitting one of his hardest verses in the past decade.

3. Fat Joe & Dre – “Lord Above,” ft. Eminem & Mary J. Blige (2019)

“Lord Above” is not only one of the best Eminem guest verses but also one of the most entertaining one. Fat Joe described the track as “the most disrespectful song on the album” as Eminem went in for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, which was followed by THREE unanswered disstracks from Nick. It was fun until it lasted. Cannon lots…AGAIN.

2. Busta Rhymes – “Calm Down,” ft. Eminem (2014)

“Calm Down” marks fourth collaboration between these two lyrical emcees after “I’ll Hurt You,” “Touch It (Remix 2.0)” and “Hail Mary.” It’s a bare bones hip-hop, fundamental, boom-bap record. It’s samples, hard kicks, hard snares and a whole lot of f**king bars of rapping with both metaphors and punchlines. It’s a friendly reminder to today’s generation of what this whole thing is based on.” said Busta in in interview with Rolling Stone. He also revealed that he wanted 16 bars from Eminem but Eminem sent him 42, making him to rewrite the verse to 44 bars. Then Eminem sent again with 48 bars and this is how the song came out with over 60 bars each.

1. Dr. Dre – “Medicine Man,” ft. Candice Pillay, Anderson .Paak & Eminem (2015)

This is the song for Dr. Dre’s 2015 Compton album which arrived in the last minute! In an interview with MTV, Anderson .Paak said: “The verses he sent? Em is just incredible. I can’t even explain. He gave us a plethora of stuff to choose from and then he went back and forth. And then we finally went with the verse that you hear.” Even though the song was well received musically, it caused a stir of controversy for Eminem’s rape lyrics: “I even make the b***hes I rape c*m. I’m waitin’ on someone to say something.” When speaking to The Guardian, Karen Ingala Smith, chief executive of the London-based charity Nia Project, which supports women and girls who have experienced men’s violence, said: “Eminem had parroted a line designed to disempower victims of sexual violence.” But it goes down as the best guest verse of the decade by Eminem in our list.

Honorable mentions: Kid Cudi – “The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady” ft. Eminem, Slaughterhouse – “Psychopath Killer” ft. YelaWolf and Eminem, Big Sean – “No Favors” ft. Eminem, Slaughterhouse – “Our House” ft. Eminem, Boogie – “Rainy Days,” ft. Eminem

WATCH: Grip’s cypher at 2021 BET Hip-Hop Awards

GRIP, D Smoke, Tierra Whack and Smino stole the show during the Lyricism Cypher at the 2021 BET Hip-Hop Awards. While there were some notable performances and wins throughout the show, one of the most memorable moments arose when our boy Grip showed up for cypher!

Grip kicked his verse with venomous lines: “I’m here to slap your favorite rapper” over DJ Khaled’s “Every Chance I Get” beat, featuring Lil Baby and Lil Durk. Then he gives a nod to his rejecters: “Shoutout to the ones who rejected me/ kiss my a** respectfully/there’s yet to be/a threat… it’s a murder scene, y’all.”

Unfortunately, BET has limited viewability of the cypher at this moment, making it difficult to watch the entire video but GRIP as shared his own verse to his fans and received big co-sign from Sirius XM channel Rock The Bells Radio.

“We on TV mama! How I do?! Shout out BET for the opportunity” said the East Atlanta lyricist while sharing his portion of the video.

Conway drops his Shady Records debut single “Piano Love,” prod by Alchemist

Conway The Machine drops “Piano Love,” lead single from his much anticipated Shady Records debut album, titled “God Don’t Make Mistakes,” which is supposed to be released in February, 2022.

The song is produced by his already many times collaborator, Alchemist. For the legendary producer, this marks the first ever single for Shady Records.

“With ‘Piano Love’ I am giving my fans what they love me for, grimy raps on an insane beat from The Alchemist. Something magical that sets the tone for the rest of God Don’t Make Mistakes album. If you have been a Conway fan from day one, you are going to absolutely love the first single.” said the Griselda rapper.

Some of the quotable lyrics from the song includes: “Hood ni**gas still eat the ramen noodles / That load cost an extra five if I got it to you / We the mob, you violate that, I gotta shoot you / Send some rocket through you, hollow tips poppin’ to you / Griselda keep winnin’, you don’t know how to stop it, do you?”

Nelly tells what’s the difference between him and Eminem

Since its inception, the BET Hip-Hop Awards show has recognized rap artists who have created a lasting legacy through their music and beyond. Established back in 2006, the first I Am Hip Hop recipient was legendary Grandmaster Flash. From there, KRS-One, Salt-N-Pepa, Lil Wayne, Lil Kim, Master P, and Uncle Luke have all received the honor.

Yesterday, Nelly accepted the award at the 2021 BET Hip-Hop Awards. In the interview with VIBE Magazine, Nelly talked about his most memorable career moments where he mentioned Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent:

Interviewer: You have been in the industry for a while now doing your thing. Looking back, what have been some of your favorite or most memorable career moments?

Nelly: My favorite career moment is just me getting in. Because you had to understand, again, I am from St. Louis. You know, from the Midwest, from Missouri. Nobody co-signed me. If you look at the majority, a lot of these people who have been successful on some level, they got co-signs. I love Eminem, but I did not have Dr. Dre. I love 50 Cent, but I did not have Eminem and Dr. Dre. I love Snoop, but I did not have Dr. Dre. I love Biggie but I did not have a Diddy. I love 2Pac but I did not have a Digital Underground. Did not nobody put me on stage. Kanye… Did not nobody put no Roc-A-Fella chain around my neck while I am standing on stage. I am saying all these blood, sweat, and tears were built. You talk about getting it out of the mud. All of what I was able to achieve was built with these hands, my crew, and my city.
