Eminem’s “Phenomenal” was used in Netflix’s “Fistful of Vengeance” movie

On February 17, 2022, Netflix released “Fistful of Vengeance” movie on their platform.

The film is about a revenge mission that becomes a fight to save the world from an ancient threat when superpowered assassin Kai tracks a killer to Bangkok.

In one of the scenes, the movie uses Eminem’s “Phenomenal” track, the first song released from the Southpaw Soundtrack, executive produced by Shady Records in 2015.

The song represents protagonist Billy Hope’s (Jake Gyllenhaal) struggle after his wife’s death and the loss of his daughter to child services.

The film’s narrative was inspired by Eminem’s struggle throughout his early career. Eminem was originally in the title role, but after putting the film on hold in 2012 to focus on his music, Jake Gyllenhaal joined on.

Vince Staples applauds Eminem’s kneeling but explains why he was not impressed with Super Bowl show

Speaking with Ebro Darden for a Black History Month episode of Apple Music 1’s The Message, Vince Staples said it was good to see Eminem kneeling but explains why he is not impressed with the Super Bowl show.

“To me, the Super Bowl Halftime show is not even something to be super-duper excited about. It is like, finally, because you can not lie about it anymore. It has been so many times that they have pretended that this was not a phenomenon. They were playing songs from decades ago. That just goes to show you how long it has been a thing, how long it has been the pinnacle, but it is good that they finally stop being stubborn and start coming around because it is unavoidable at this point.”

“It is just good to have that moment and just see how it comes full circle from Eminem taking his knee stance, to bringing it full circle with the Kaepernick situation, and the work that Jay-Z has done in the messaging, and the lyrics, and all that. It’s so cool but… My pops used to always tell me… You come home like, ‘Oh, yeah. I got good grades.’ He is like, ‘What you expect? You happy? You supposed to do that.’ I am not giving people pats on the back for doing what they supposed to do. That is just not how I am built. I am not proud of them, I am not happy that they did it: they should have did it, you know what I am saying? What else you going to do? What you going to put on there that is more popping in LA for the LA Super Bowl? What are your options? They had no other options except for the biggest hip-hop producer in the history of hip-hop arguably, the biggest rapper in hip-hop history arguably, and the biggest rapper out right now arguably. What other choice did you have? They did not do us no favor. They did what they was supposed to do.” said Vince Staples.

You can watch the interview below. He starts talking about Super Bowl at around 21:30 minutes.

Elon Musk quotes Eminem’s lyrics to respond SEC situation

Elon Musk increases tension with the SEC saying that he has been “building a case” against the agency.

The situation between the SEC, Tesla, and Elon Musk to be escalating after a lawyer for Musk reached out to the court with some serious allegations about some kind of vendetta that they claim the Security and Exchange Commission has against them.

The American entrepreneur and business magnate and the SEC have had a few problems with each other, and it was pretty serious. Most famously, back in 2018, the SEC filed a lawsuit against Musk over his infamous “funding secured” comment regarding his failed attempt to take Tesla private.

Elon is now responding to some of the fans on Twitter. The founder of SpaceX even quoted a line from Eminem’s “The Sauce,” a diss track directed at Benzino and The Source magazine. In the intro of the song, Eminem says: “I just want the whole world to know that I did not start this, but I will finish it.” Same words as Elon. Check the tweets below:

Musk is very familiar with the lyrics of Slim Shady. This is not the first time Elon used Eminem’s words to respond to his followers on Twitter. When a random user told him that there is no word that rhymes with orange, the greatest technology entrepreneur replied with Eminem’s words: “door hinge”

Elon also once revealed he was listening to Lil Wayne and Eminem’s “Drop The World” while driving Tesla Model 3:

Local Detroit news warn fake Eminem scammer

As the Click On Detroit reports, the Eminem scam continues to grow after Help Me Hank first exposed that a high-tech thief was pretending to be Marshall Mathers to steal people’s identities.

“I was having my coffee in the morning and the phone rang. He said, ‘This is Marshall (Mathers).’” – said Frederick Mclelland, of Taylor.

The scammer is not just targeting people in Detroit locally, but also across the entire country. A woman from the state of Washington showed Help Me Hank messages she received from someone posing as Marshall Mathers.

He complimented her appearance and, in a later exchange, asked her to go and get him an eBay card.

“If he can use that person’s likeness, use that person’s reputation to bring people into the scam, it’s actually a pretty good fraud,” one expert said.
