Conway drops his Shady Records debut single “Piano Love,” prod by Alchemist

Conway The Machine drops “Piano Love,” lead single from his much anticipated Shady Records debut album, titled “God Don’t Make Mistakes,” which is supposed to be released in February, 2022.

The song is produced by his already many times collaborator, Alchemist. For the legendary producer, this marks the first ever single for Shady Records.

“With ‘Piano Love’ I am giving my fans what they love me for, grimy raps on an insane beat from The Alchemist. Something magical that sets the tone for the rest of God Don’t Make Mistakes album. If you have been a Conway fan from day one, you are going to absolutely love the first single.” said the Griselda rapper.

Some of the quotable lyrics from the song includes: “Hood ni**gas still eat the ramen noodles / That load cost an extra five if I got it to you / We the mob, you violate that, I gotta shoot you / Send some rocket through you, hollow tips poppin’ to you / Griselda keep winnin’, you don’t know how to stop it, do you?”

19 years ago today, Eminem signed 50 Cent to Shady Records

In 2002 it was announced that Eminem and Dr. Dre have signed an up and coming rapper by the name of Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and since then rap game has never been the same.

At the time of 50’s signing to Eminem’s Shady Records label and the Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment, the then-27-year-old rapper was only two years removed from being shot nine times in front of his grandmother’s house in Southside Jamaica, Queens. Weeks prior to his signing, 50 and his newly established crew, G-Unit, had unleashed their now-iconic mixtape, 50 Cent Is the Future. Featuring a variety of inventive remixes and a collection of dynamic raps from Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, the project helped 50 live up to its title.

50 Cent realized his big potential when he dropped off his incredible debut album, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, on Feb. 6, 2003, under Shady Records. Led by his hit single, “In Da Club,” the project debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart after selling 872,000 copies in its first week.

Fifty’s second album ‘The Massacre’ was a massive commercial success as it became one of the fastest selling albums in the history of hip-hop. Debuting at No.1 on Billboard 200, the album sold more than 1 million copies in its first week of release.

50 Cent left Shady Records in 2014.

Now, the Compton MC is back with a new single titled “Outside,” which features Joey BADA$$ and is produced by Mike Lowry, Tae Beast, and Rascal and is supposed to be the first single from his upcoming Shady Records album.

I’m the best rapper that, wait, I’m the best rapper alive, I’m talkin’ n***as that’s sinnin’, I’m talkin’ n***as retired, I’m talkin’ n***as that’s comin’, I’m talkin’ n***as that’s tried, I’m talkin’ n***as that died, I’m talkin’ all ‘em combined..” – raps Boogie.

He also interpolates Eminem’s “The Way I Am” lyrics and references Eminem in between the lines: “Funny that I’m standin’ with the dude who made Stan, But never treat me like the fan, ’cause what I am, what I am, Whatever you say I am, s**t, if I was interested, Why would I say I am, s**t? And the, the radio don’t even play my jam.
