Lil Tjay references Eminem in his “Many Men (50 Cent)” freestyle

During an attempted robbery Lil Tjay was shot seven times last year, and after his sensational recovery he received some good advice from 50 Cent.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Lil Tjay recalled that, after physically getting better, he received a phone call from Fifty, who was calling from his private jet at the time.

“Every artist needs pain or something to feed off of. This right here, you shake this s–t off. You got the length for greatness. You going to be bigger than ever.” This would make Tjay feel much better as 50 Cent is no stranger to overcoming injuries from getting shot. The former Shady Records artist was shot nine times back in 2000.

After leaving the hospital, Tjay dropped a remix of 50 Cent’s classic song “Many Men” from his debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ which is produced by Eminem. The song is “FACESHOT” and Tjay he channels the G-Unit general’s bulletproof defiance by addressing the culprit who almost killed him, by referencing Eminem and his 2010 Billboard No. 1 hit song “Not Afraid,” from Recovery album.

“I know many men out there wanna get me, tell ’em bend again/ Never on no scary s–t, Not Afraid like Eminem/ Singin’ ni–a, but you sleep on me that be your flaw/ Lettin’ me live that was stupid, must think one plus two is four,” he rapped.

A snippet of a new freestyle over Kanye West and Jay-Z’s “Jail” surfaced earlier today from a possible new mixtape where Conway reveals he felt “horrible” after comments he made about Eminem fans on VLAD TV.

“They’re a bunch of nerds and stans that don’t understand me or relate to what I bring to the table or my music. It’s just like, ‘F**k all that, where’s Em? We want an Eminem album. Grip freestyles on Bootleg Kev, talks how Eminem found his music, signing to Shady & more

Shady Records latest signee, GRIP has recently sat down with Bootleg Kev for an interview on his podcast where the two talk about how Eminem found his music, signing to Shady Records, Atlanta music and more.

On signing to Shady Records

“Eminem is like a coach who used to play basketball in NBA. I felt that. Before we even get to any paperwork or anything, he was just like ‘Yo, I don’t wanna change nothing, everything you do is great, creative control.'”

About getting Eminem & Royce 5’9″ on “IDFT!?”

“I chose the record which I wanted Eminem to be on. I played it before I told him and he was like ‘Damn, this hook is dope as f**k.’ I was like ‘that’s all I wanted to hear.’ With Royce, I already had the song constructed, like, the first half and second half and he just took the whole middle portion and killed that s**t which is what I was expecting him to do but then with Em s**t, I spent 16 bars. I was trying to be lyrical and do my own thing so when I sent it him and he sent back I already knew he was coming at least 36 bars. He went in. He went the f**k off. I don’t change s**t. I don’t change nothing.”

About his album “Snubnose” getting Eminem’s attention

“Em said he heard ‘Snubnose’ and the song ‘226’ caught his attention. I kinda rapping fast, switching cadences. For a long time, I was kinda upset cause it was great body of work and it fell under radar so for a long time I was frustrated. And its dope at least Em caught that s**t. It catapulted me to the next level. ”
