In a new clip from Behind the Music on Paramount+, Eminem went into detail on his friendship with legendary rapper LL Cool J, confirming longtime fan speculation about a certain piece of jewelry.

“I’m like, ‘Yo, I wanted that. That is what made me actually want to rap,’” Eminem adds.

Lupe Fiasco shouts out Eminem while dissing Royce on “Steve Jobs” song

Originally titled “Steve Jobs: SLR 3 1/2,” the song is a response to Royce da 5’9”’s track “Silence of the Lambda” and was released in a couple of hours after Royce dropped it.

The title of the track follows from Lupe’s series of wordplay-rich and braggadocios tracks from the past viz. SLR (Super Lupe Rap), SLR 2 and SLR 3 (Round of Applause).

The 1/2 in the title may point to the fact that Lupe might not have completely gone all out on Royce at the moment with this track and he left something behind and ready to unleash it whenever and if Royce responds back.

Fans might have overlooked the lines in “Steve Jobs” track where Lupe gave shout out to Eminem. In the verse two, Fiasco raps:

Your penmanship has the fingerprints of a gimmick
And affection and the intimacy of impressions of that ni**a you friends with
I ain’t gotta say it to say it
I can’t even blame you, the nigga’s one of my favorites

Lupe is saying that Royce bit Eminem’s style of rhyming. He says that he sees ‘affection’ and ‘intimacy of impressions’ of Eminem’s pen in Royce’s rhymes. Fiasco goes on to to say that he can’t even blame Royce because Eminem is one of his favorites too.

After Royce 5’9″ dropped “Silence Of The Lambda” earlier today, a warning shot at Lupe Fiasco, Chicago born lyricist hits back at Nickel with a diss track titled “Steve Jobs.”

“I think that n***a scared, he never leave Heaven cause he already dead. We both wear glasses. The difference is I was in school thinking it was cool, you were thinking of skipping classes / listening to your track record I can see you were skipping classics.” raps Lupe.

Some other quotable lines are: “In seven minutes he did it, If he knew how to freestyle he coulda rented Heaven for seven minutes, And been done what needed to be done by the second sentence, All this extra innings may come across as master — but my impression’s apprentice, Your penmanship has the fingerprints of a gimmick
An affection and an intimacy of impressions of that n***as you friends with, I ain’t gotta say it to say it, I can’t even blame you, the n***a’s one of my favorites.”

Royce’s brother Kid Vishis responded Lupe in the comments, saying: “Corny As A Muthaf**ka! Royce 1-0! Take your time and write man.. He makin you look Stupid early.”

Cassidy analysis Eminem’s rhymes while discussing “Science of Rap” with Math Hoffa

Cassidy recently sat down with Math Hoffa and the rest of the crew where they talk about rap, lyricism, and more. At some point Cassidy was asked about how come people don’t like Eminem and his lyricism.

“He is not technical all the time. He is piecing up syllables but sometimes he do not, sometimes he rhyme one syllable.” said Cassidy and raps “The Way I Am” as an example.

“That is one syllable,” Cassidy continues, “It’s just you all think he piecing up all these syllables. He do rhyme more syllables in other raps but a lot of times he just do not even be piecing up it is just a lot of rhymes and you think that he killing it.”

Philadelphia rapper the raps “My Name Is” and comments: “I know the science of this sh*t is a two-syllable piece up. That is the best Eminem right there. When he rap like that, that is when I really like him. But a lot of people do not even understand the way that you are supposed to rhyme and piece it up.”

“You gotta really break the science down the proper way like not just rappers, fans too, everybody. Like I know this is one syllable, this is two, this three, this is this. Once people could do that, rappers gonna have to step it up and fans gonna demand more cause they are gonna understand better.”
