A young rapper from Gaza has gone viral, after penning and performing a 1 minute and 30 seconds free verse about the current Israel-Palestine crisis over one of Eminem’s iconic beats.
In the track, assisted by Irish producer Garraí Mac, also known as GMCBeats, the 12-year-old MC, who goes by the name MC Abdul delivers impassioned bars over the beat of Eminem’s 2002 hit song ‘Cleanin’ Out My Closet’ from The Eminem Show album.
The young MC raps for about a minute about the violence the territory has experienced throughout the crisis, which according to the New York Times has killed at least 227 people in Gaza and 12 in Israel.
“Music is what keeps me going. Stay safe everyone. All we want is peace.” – raps the kid. The video has collected millions of views on different social media platforms in few days. You can watch it below:
Yesterday, West Coast legend, Kxng Crooked did the question and answer session with his fans on Twitter where he was asked to compare few of Eminem albums.
Fan: I’m not letting you off easy, Crook. The Eminem Show or The Marshall Mathers LP?
Crooked: For me, personally, it is The Marshall Mathers LP. I have my reasons. But I will not debate if someone likes The Eminem Show better.
For me personally it’s MMLP.. I have my reasons.. But I won’t debate if someone likes TES better https://t.co/gLotErhPj7
A movie about a pop singer Halsey’s life has been in the works for three years now but it was delayed cause she fell in love with Alev Aydin, a screenwriter who was supposed to write the movie.
Back in 2018, Deadline reported that Sony Pictures closed a life rights deal with the singer/songwriter to develop a film loosely based on her life, inspired by Eminem’s “8 Mile” movie with Halsey starring as herself.
As Alev and Halsey’s relationship strongly developed, now the reports say the shooting will start at the end of this year.
Sony hopes the movie acts as a launchpad for Halsey’s career, similar to what 8 Mile did for Eminem. If you’re familiar with 8 Mile and Halsey, this might sound like a stretch. But, along with their respectively troubled pasts, Halsey and Eminem seem to share a disdain for the mainstream while existing within it.
Architectural Digest has recently teamed up with Big Sean for a look inside his sleek and spacious Beverly Hills home. The 7-bedroom Mediterranean estate features a music studio, soaring ceilings, and a resort-style backyard outfitted with a limestone swimming pool, heated spa, and a fireplace.
Once owned by legendary Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, Sean purchased the property 4 years ago and undertook an extensive renovation in tandem with L.A.-based firm JSN Studio. A few spots remain just as Slash left them however, like the private nightclub with skull light fixtures.
At one point, the Detroit rapper talked about Eminem gifting him Jordan 4 Retro Eminem Carhartt shoes: “The rarest shoes that I have in here is Eminem Carhartt 4s. Em sent this to me personally. I keep them wrapped in plastic. Never really wear them, ever. Looking for another pair. And Em, if you got me, let me know cause I would love to rock them but I am not rocking just one pair.”
Back in 2015, Joe Budden released a song titled “Slaughtermouse” (Letter To Eminem), off of his then-new album, All Love Lost. Joe discussed the lyrics of the song with Genius. In the lyrics, we read:
“Look, it was around ’99, baby coming while I was at rock bottom,
Ironic s**t, I was listening to “Rock Bottom.””
Joe explains:
“‘Rock Bottom’ helped me immensely. I can’t explain what that record did to me. I couldn’t even understand who was this man putting these words together this way, going through this, feeling like this. This is how I feel, I just can’t rap this good.
It’s crazy how small the world is and how stars align and 360 degrees of separation. Just thinking back to being in Jersey City with a child coming, unemployed not knowing where my check was coming from, not knowing how I was going to be able to provide for this kid and this kid’s mom and myself even. Now go to today and working with somebody who was very instrumental in getting me through that time.”
Lyrics continue:
“Listen, I’m writing to you now cause we don’t get to talk much,
‘Cept for in the stu’ when we be passing through the halls and such,
I wonder if you catch me stare at you in awe much,
And we be busy working so I never share my thoughts much.”
Joe explains:
“The interactions between me and Eminem have been great, just far and few. Em is like a hip-hop encyclopedia and he’s extremely passionate. He’s one of the more meticulous men that I ever met. Talking to him about hip-hop, you just learn so much about the culture.
Those conversations are good and him and I have had some more personal conversation that will remain confidential. But outside of our interactions musically, that may be the extent of his knowledge of me. I don’t know that to be a fact, but it may be.
So when we talk, I’m forced to wonder: “I wonder if this guy knows that are paths are very similar.” “
Also notable lyrics are:
“When Bad met Evil, ni**a who was happier than me?
Think back, the way that I was on that s**t,
You woulda thought it was my album and I was on that s**t,
Like f**k rap, happy to see a friendship get mended,
Cemented and any frivolous tension get ended,
Joell you my G, Weapon Waist you my OG cuz,
Nickel you know I look at you like it’s blood.”
……………….
“And to Em, one of the illest ever on the mic,
We’re less different than we are alike,
This ain’t about star power, I ain’t on the hype,
Never mind skin color, I see beyond the white,
My whole life I fought trauma like you,
Had ups and downs with my baby mama like you,
I had my fair share of transgressions like you,
Had a bad temper once and fought aggression like you,
Did drugs, popped pills, fought depression like you.”
……………………..
“F**k this record deal, you (Em) inspired me as a man,
I’ll cut it short, before I start feeling like a Stan,
HouseGang for life, word to the pig on Royce’s hand.”
King Los comes through with some fire bars. There are few rappers in the game that can match the level of lyricism that Maryland-born rapper delivers every time he steps up to the mic.
This week, King Los came through with a brand new freestyle over Dr. Dre and Eminem’s iconic track from 2000, “Forgot About Dre.” Los unleashes a bombardment of bars while flexing his technical prowess and witty lyricism on track titled “Forgot About Los.”
Some of the quotable lyrics include: “Yeah, I’m talkin’ to you / It’s funny how they scared to converse but still wanna walk in my shoes / Study it, n***a, take your notes, jack the cadence, make the quotes / Make it yours, don’t make it Los, just make it close, holy s**t, you’re makin’ clothes / The government gon’ think that I’m makin’ clones.”
Singer, songwriter and producer Charlie Puth earned his worldwide success when he co-wrote, co-produced, and performed “See You Again” with Wiz Khalifa for the Furious 7 soundtrack as a tribute to Paul Walker. It peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 for 12 non-consecutive weeks.
After the success of “See You Again”, he gained worldwide recognition for multiple subsequent releases, including his next single “One Call Away”. The single reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In one of his latest tweets, Charlie named an album that is his main production influence: “Listen to The Eminem Show album by Eminem and you will hear my main influence for drums in every song I produce.”

Clive Davis has recently done interviews with DaBaby, Joni Mitchell, Oprah Winfrey, H.E.R. and more. At one point, during the interview, DaBaby was brightened at being asked by Davis to name his three biggest influences. Here is what he replied:
“Lil Wayne. Eminem. So many people, though. Three is not enough. I was definitely a big fan of Kanye, especially early on, so I would … give 50 Cent and Kanye West a tie… I was blessed enough to be able to see a lot of different people have their era, like even like a Nelly, and Lucacris, T.I. … so many people that just had their waves…”
Last year, Eminem also gave his flowers to DaBaby during the interview with Kxng Crooked: “DaBaby is interesting to me. I never know where his rhymes gonna land and that s**t is so interesting to me cause he does it so well.”

In a chapter from his upcoming book Yearbook, Seth Rogen revealed that he auditioned for the role of Cheddar Bob, the friend of Eminem’s Rabbit character from Oscar-winning 8 Mile movie, who infamously shoots himself in the leg with his own gun during a scuffle.
Seth Rogen auditioned twice for the film after his first attempt proved unsuccessful due to the casting director not liking the “rappery” dialogue. He was asked to come back and bring someone to do the audition with him. That friend was Jason Segel, who was also auditioning to play Cheddar Bob.
“We asked our agents if our auditions could be scheduled one right after the other, so that one of us could audition for Cheddar, with the other reading the Rabbit part, and then we’d switch. We had a sleepover at my apartment the night before the auditions so we could rehearse and then carpooled to the audition together.” Rogen told the Insider magazine.
Rogen read for Cheddar first, then Segel. However, Rogen couldn’t stop breaking character and laughing at the delivery of the lines.
“Yo, yo, muthaf**ka! It’s Chedda! What up, bitch!” Segel said, delivering Rabbit’s lines off-screen. Rogen, responding as Cheddar said: “Yo, yo, Rabbit! You gotta record your s**t at Paisley Park, yo!”
“I started laughing hysterically. And so did Jason. We literally couldn’t make it through the auditions. As soon as one of us started the scene, the other would lose it…It was so silly, we couldn’t finish. We just excused ourselves and saw ourselves out, tears streaming down our faces.” said Rogan.
In the end, the role of Cheddar Bob went to Evan Jones. Rogen and Eminem would later end up crossing paths with one another in the 2009 film, titled Funny People and later in 2014, The comedy movie, The Interview, also starring James Franco.
Due to low ratings for the network, 50 Cent’s TV series called “For Life” has been canceled at ABC after two seasons. The show was inspired by the story of Isaac Wright Jr.
Series star Nicholas Pinnock says not to blame ABC for its decision and that “For Life” is not a network show. Pinnock explained his stance in a series of posts on Twitter:
“I am in no way bitter with ABC for not renewing For Life for a third season. ABC has been nothing but supportive of our show, and has championed it from the start. So I won’t have you bad-mouthing them. I can tell you firsthand how great they have been to me and to our show. Sadly, the live audience numbers didn’t reflect and equal the social media attention,” he continued. “The catch-up numbers were really good, but that doesn’t fit the model of a network show.”
“If we do manage to secure another home for “For Life”… I can promise you we will continue to make a show that is beyond worthy of your time and engagement,” Pinnock added.
50 Cent promises the the show will be back soon, on other Network..
After dropping “Dear Slim” video, Tom MacDonald was interviewed by NoLifeShaq. You can check out the conversation below.
“I have never been so scared to write a song in my life. When you start rapping because of Eminem and then the way the universe work and all of a sudden I got an Eminem beat in my hands, I swear to god… When I get a beat that motivates me to write, I write that shit right away. And I sat with this beat in my phone for a week before I started writing, I was like ‘Nah bro’.” – said Tom.
When he was asked about people thinking that he would diss Eminem, the Canadian rapper responded: “I let everybody think that all week. It was like, I was just saying Em’s name and doing my promo as an independent artist and I knew where everybody will take that sh*t.”
The music video also featured the same car Stan was driving in Eminem’s song. “It is not the one from Eminem’s video but it is the same model. I did some research and found out what Stan was driving. I copped the whip from a junkyard, It was black, I painted the whole thing in the same color as Stan’s car, I went all out.”
