The Game shouts out Eminem in a new L.A. Leakers freestyle

The Game has visited the L.A Leakers studio to drop off a new freestyle, promoting upcoming new album, titled Drillmatic: Heart vs. Mind.

The Compton rapper spits over never-before-heard Hit-Boy beat, seemingly never taking a breath as he delivers hard-hitting punchline one after another.

Game name-drops several of his rap contemporaries throughout including Hip Hop dignitaries such as Kanye West, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre and more.

“Ain’t no competition, so Kendrick went to Africa/ Ain’t no competition Cole went and got his baskets up/ But I am here masking up, with the masking tape, friends knocking on the door, we closed, don’t ask for Ye/ You see the Aftermath chains then don’t ask for Dre/ I am a legend now, f**k when I pass away.” Game raps.

At the end of his verse, he also gave little shout out to Eminem: “I’m black Slim Shady, I’ve been killin’ ’em lately. Get this ni**as f**k outta here, man.”

Joyner Lucas & Eminem’s “What If I Was Gay” alternative version surfaces online

“What If I Was Gay,” also know as “If I Told You” is a scrapped song from Joyner Lucas’ 2019 ADHD album, featuring Eminem.

The song focuses on a suppressed homosexual coming out to his friend — Joyner takes the perspective of the gay man coming out while Eminem takes the perspective of his unsupportive Christian friend. The encounter leads the homosexual man to commit suicide, ultimately giving Em’s character feelings of regret. It also ends in a twist, as Eminem’s character reveals that he’s also gay.

Notably, Eminem has been criticized for homophobic lyrics and comments in the past. He addressed the accusations during a December 2017 interview with Vulture:

The first time I got a taste of being called anti-gay was on ‘My Name Is’ when I said, ‘My English teacher wanted to have sex in junior high / The only problem was my English teacher was a guy.’ All I was saying was I don’t swing that way. So when I started getting flack for it, I thought, Alright, you people think I’m homophobic… I was trying to push the buttons of people who were calling me something that I wasn’t. The honest-to-God truth is that none of that matters to me: I have no issue with someone’s sexuality, religion, race, none of that.

A snippet of the track was leaked on October 28, 2019, and the full version was leaked two days later on October 31, 2019, under the name “What If I Was Gay?”

A day later, Skylar Grey confirmed her involvement on the track via her Instagram story. It’s unclear whether her part was cut or the leaked version was just an older demo.

Yesterday, another version of the song has surfaced online. Slight beat change, different intro and few changed lines of Eminem lyrics. You can listen to the song below:

Pete Davidson reveals how he was listening “The Eminem Show” without his mom noticing it

For the second season’s first episode of Hart to Heart, Kevin Hart sat down with Pete Davidson where the two discussed mental health, his future with a possible wife and kids, and his favorite ways to unwind.

At one point of the interview, Pete revealed how he was hiding from his mom when he was listening to Eminem’s “The Eminem Show” album when he was young.

“I have a secret for my mom,” Pete Davidson says. “The first record I have ever bought was ‘The Eminem Show.’ I was like 9 years old and it was sick record. Lots of cursing. Loved it!”

“But my mom was like ‘you are too  young for this, when you are twelve we might talk about it’. My mom loved Rod Stewart so what I did was, I made a print of a disk with Rod Stewart cover and I pasted it on top of the The Eminem Show so when my mom was like ‘what you listing to’ it was Ro Stewart but I never heard Rod Stewart song.” Davidson said.

Then Pete continues talking about his parodies of Eminem on Saturday Night Live. You can watch the podcast below:

They also recalled some of the sweet memories from the elementary school. “When we went to Disney, that was so fun. I always think about that time. My dad was working on something, he was working all the time but he set up for us to do like the limousine and take it to Disney and we did like the princess party and he had the dresses waiting for us. We were so happy and excited.” said Hailie.

Then Ednie continues: “We loved going to Pistons games. I think Eminem also loved it and that’s why we loved it.”

Eminem’s “Curtain Call 2” album cover sparks new theories

Eminem has announced the release of his next compilation album, Curtain Call 2. The follow-up to Slim Shady’s 2005 greatest-hits collection will drop on August 5, 2022 and, according to Eminem’s official website, it will feature one new track to be “revealed in the coming weeks.”

The rest of the album will be made up of songs we’ve already heard. Including releases dating back to 2009’s “Relapse,” Curtain Call 2 won’t only be limited to Eminem’s solo work. The album will also pull from his guest appearances and collabs, including “The King and I,” which he recently dropped with CeeLo Green for Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic.

So far, the only other song that’s confirmed is “From the D 2 the LBC,” the stoner song he has recently made with Snoop Dogg.

While you wait for the rest of the tracklist, feel free to gaze upon the album’s pinball machine-themed artwork below. There’s a lot to take in — including numbers that can be flipped upside down to create words like “BOOBSS,” HELLISH, “HE’S ILL,” and “AS*HOL.” Ah, truly a win for anyone who had access to a calculator in middle school.

On the cover, there is also written “Game Over” which fans think it might be a hint to a disstrack towards The Game.
