Adam22 says Lil Pump hurt his own career by dissing Eminem

Adam John Grandmaison more commonly known as Adam22, who is a host of No Jumper, has recently set down with VLAD TV where they talked about Eminem and Lil Pump situation.

“It does not feel like he is necessarily huge right now. I wonder, to what extent, the people would be open to a comeback. It kind of feels like the Eminem thing and the Trump thing, to whatever extent people we are gonna be open to hearing him again, it kind of feels like a lot of that might have closed the door for people’s willingness to f**k with him. Not artists but the fans, you know.”

“He is kind of running through a lot of same stuff that he already got popping off. Saying ‘F**k Eminem’ right now is same like saying ‘F**k J. Cole’ at that time. You pick an elite rapper who is beloved and say ‘F**k you.’ That will get viral for a little bit but where do you go from there? So I did not love seeing that. It was kind of bummer.” said Adam.

Thirstin Howl III remembers early days with Eminem: “He was super MC”

Thistin Howl The 3rd was on Off the Cuff Radio and on this clip below, he talks about being in the Rap Olympics with Eminem and how he used to come to the hood everyday to kick it with them.

“Rap Olympics 1997 was a beautiful experience man. Gotta learned a lot, all my team members and you know being surrounded by a whole team of hungry battle freestyle rappers that will attack you at all times. That would sharpen you up even more. Everybody on my team was top-notch off the head was super skilled with it.”

“Me and Eminem, we both expected big things out of each other’s career. Eminem was really the truth, I believe he felt the same about me, and we always promise that whoever makes it first will be on each other’s albums. Eminem used to even come and hang out in Brownsville with me man. He was really skilled, he’s really the truth man, I can’t take anything away from that man. I’ll be hearing all these other people try to say he got this from so and so over, that man was exactly the way he was when I met him. He was a super MC, very humble very cool very down to earth, we got along well. A lot of times we wouldn’t even talk man, our whole conversation would be in rap form and freestyle, how hungry we were for it.”

Rayfield Holloman talks touring with Eminem & why 2020 Eminem tours were canceled

In the latest Tour Tales episode, guitarist Rayfield Holloman talked the touring experience with Eminem. Check out the interview below.

Interviewer: From there, how did you connect with Eminem?

Rayfield Holloman: Adam Blackstone. He’s the chief dot connector. My introduction to Em was me filling in for Adam playing bass. Adam asked me and it felt like a daunting task because the guitar is my main instrument. To fill in for someone as skilled as Adam on a show with Eminem felt a little daunting at first. I definitely got through it. Once I met Eminem, I saw how cool and down to earth he was. In rehearsals, he’d be cracking jokes. It made me feel comfortable in that space. It was a relaxed atmosphere. He doesn’t make you feel you have to meet a certain standard. As long as you’re doing your job, you’re good. It was awesome to see how someone who is such a legend could be humble and super chill. I’ve seen large crowds at 50,000 seat stadiums and festivals. But, I had never played crowds larger than Eminem crowds. When Eminem does a show, especially overseas, it’s no less than 60,000 in the audience. To be in Milan, look out in the crowd, and there are 98,000 people there, I’m like, “Oh my! He’s a god.” They were all there to see him.

This was Milan. from r/Eminem

Interviewer: What is the wildest fan reaction you’ve seen at an Eminem show?

Rayfield Holloman: I’ve seen a few girls in the crowd topless at Eminem shows. I’m not going to hold you, I love shit like that (laughs). I love when you give it your all and be free. I think it was in Australia when we toured a few years ago. I’ve seen people bare it all out there.

Interviewer: What song during his shows do you feel fans can hear your biggest contribution?

Rayfield Holloman: I think one song where the guitar is highlighted would be on the song “The Way I Am.” At the end of that song when he performs it, there’s a guitar solo. It’s a highlight of the show. It’s when Em walks off and allows him to go backstage to take a breath. At the same time, it’s a very dynamic moment musically.

Interviewer: What shows did the pandemic cancel for you and what will be its long-lasting effect on touring?

Rayfield Holloman: In 2020, I had a whole calendar full of shows with a band called Robert Randolph and the Family Band. Robert is family to me and I’ve been touring on and off with him since 2006. We had a lot of shows lined up for 2020 that got cut short along with other possible opportunities. Even with Eminem, there were some things that were in the works that got shut down.

Young Zee says Az Izz lies & explains what really happened with Eminem

Few days ago, Az Izz of Outsidaz released a disstrack towards Eminem and later on, he went on DoggieDiamondsTV and bragged about how his diss track made Eminem to retire.

Young Zee, one of the founding members of the group, has recently responded to Az’s interview, exposing him for lying:

Somebody sent me the link to that interview and I just heard bunch of bulls**t. I would not paying this little rat no attention but once I saw he talking about origin of Outsidaz I was like ‘bro why are you lying?’ He said lots of stuff about Em that’s totally not true. How he used to hang out with Em in my house? What he talking about? he met Eminem in a process of working on music. He thinks Eminem own him something? Em owns him nothing! He has no right to jump on Em. He thinks Eminem stole his style? That’s a total lie.

Eminem put me on mad s**t. Az Izz never did a tour with Eminem. I did 8 tours. He put me on 8 Mile soundtracks, D12, I made millions of dollars with Eminem. Literally millions of dollars. He doesn’t owe me nothing else. We are two people who rhymed together, that knew each other with respect of good rapping. He doesn’t owe me nothing. We did all this for the love of hip-hop and for the love of each other as a person.” – Said Young Zee

22 years ago today, Eminem released “My Name Is”

Exactly 22 years ago today, January 26, 1999, Eminem released “My Name Is” single, produced by Dr. Dre, off The Slim Shady LP.

The song earned Eminem his first ever Grammy award and made him international artists as it reached Top 10 charts in numerous countries, including United Kingdom, New Zealand and Norway. Since then, “My Name Is” went double platinum in the United States and platinum in UK.

The music video of the song also earned Eminem MTV Video Music Awards and booked his spot in several magazines’ greatest songs lists, including Q Magazine, VH1 and Rolling Stone.

“My Name Is” samples the 1975 song “I Got The…” by British musician – openly gay man – Labi Siffre. He was reluctant to have his song be sampled in a song as homophobic as “My Name Is.” He let Dr. Dre and Eminem sample the song on the condition that they get rid of lines about raping lesbians and Eminem’s gay junior high teacher. When Labi Siffre’s album “Remember My Song” was re-released Labi Siffre wrote notes about Eminem:

“Attacking two of the usual scapegoats, women and gays, is lazy writing. If you want to be radical, if you want to do battle, attack the aggressors not the victims.”

In the song “The Way I Am” Eminem raps: “Let’s stop with the fables I’m not gonna be able to top a “My Name Is”” but he eventually made “The Real Slim Shady” and somehow topped “My Name Is.”

50 Cent – “New Day,” ft. Alicia Keys & Dr. Dre (mixed by Eminem)

“New Day,” by 50 Cent, featuring Alicia Keys and Dr. Dre was originally supposed to be on Dr. Dre’s scrapped album DETOX but it ended up as the single off 50 Cent’s vaulted album, titled Street King Immortal. The song was released in 2012, was produced by Dr. Dre and Swizz Beatz and Eminem mixed the verses. Dre’s verse was also written by Royce Da 5’9″.

In an interview with Complex magazine, 50 Cent said: “Dr. Dre originally produced “New Day” for Detox and sent it with a chorus that was written by Ester Dean. It had the chorus that she wrote and he sent it to Alicia Keys, and Alicia re-wrote it and sent it back with the “New Day” vocals. And because she sat on the production for so long, they revisited it. Swizz Beatz re-produced the record, did everything over originally and they ended up putting the song out. So you heard “New Day” released as a full Alicia Keys song before you heard the version of it that was a 50 Cent record featuring Dr. Dre.”

In the song, 50 Cent gives shout out to Eminem and Dre: “I got to win, Em watch and Dre watch and my son watching, F**k that, losing ain’t an option.” Fiddy explained those lines in Genius video annotation which you can check out here.
