E-40 clarifies his “Busta Rhymes eats Eminem in Verzuz” comments, Ice Cube wants to do song with Eminem

Earlier this year, legendary rapper E-40 visited Jalen and Jacoby on their show where he talked about Busta Rhymes potentially facing Eminem in a Verzuz battle where he said: “I’m gonan keep it one thousand. I love Eminem. I love Busta too, to the fullest and his talent speak for himself but Busta Rhymes will eat Eminem in a Verzuz battle. I really believe that. Busta Rhymes go crazy! Because now its turned to performance type of situation. Busta Rhymes is animated. He got gas. He rap fast. He has all that. He do all the stuff Eminem do and Busta Rhymes got up-temp slash to get the party going.”

To promote their new album, Mount Westmore have recently sat down with Bootleg Kev where E-40 clarified his statement and expressed his desire to work with Slim Shady.

Bootleg Kev: For each of you guys, is there a feature that has not happened yet, for whatever reason the planets didn’t align, and you don’t have a song with them yet?

Ice Cube: Nas, Rakim. I think everybody in their emcee life wanna do a song with Rakim at some point. These are the OGs. I think I can do a good song with Busta Rhymes. Me and him can do a dope song together. These are the ones that I think about that I know we could probably do something crazy.

Too $hort: For me it was always the one answer. Me, Missy Elliott and Timbaland on the same record. I want that.

E-40: I would say Jay-Z, Nas, Q-Tip, KRS One, Missy Elliott, Trick Daddy. I’d love to do a song with Eminem. I want to address the Eminem situation. A lot of his fans thought that I was dissing him. No, I could never do that. He’s one of the greatest emcees that ever did it. Somebody had asked me who would win in a Verzuz battle between Eminem and Busta Rhymes and I said Busta Rhymes. Because Verzuz is about live performance, I was not knocking Eminem. Busta got lot of hits and he get the party going. Busta on live is crazy. That’s all I meant. I was not trying to diss. I would never diss Eminem he’s one of the greats if not the great.

Later in the interview, E-40 added that he wants to do a song with THE LOX and Ice Cube said: “Oh yeah, I wanna do a song with Eminem too.” Watch the interview below:

Busta Rhymes, Swizz Beatz, Royce 5’9″ & more applaud Eminem for his Rock Hall induction

The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame inducted its 2022 class on November 5, with Eminem, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and more joining the prestigious group of musicians.

Legendary producer Dr. Dre, who signed Eminem in 1998, inducted the Detroit emcee into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame with a speech in which the hip-hop mogul reflected on his relationship with Slim Shady.

“Over 20 years ago, Jimmy Iovine, who is also one of tonight’s inductees and one of my best friends, played a demo tape for me from a guy who called himself Eminem. The first thing I said when I heard it was, ‘What the f__k did he just say?’ I loved it so much that I couldn’t stop listening to it.” said Dre.

“A few days later, Jimmy called me and said, ‘You know he’s a White guy, right?’ F____d me up! Looking back, I don’t know why it didn’t cross my mind. He certainly didn’t sound like a Black rapper, especially because of what he was saying. I guess it was my ignorance at the time, thinking that if you’re a really good rapper, you must be Black.” Dre continued.

Following Dre’s induction speech, Eminem delivered a fiery performance with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler (Sing For The Moment) and Ed Sheeran (Stan). Additionally, Em performed “My Name Is,” “Forever,” “Rap God,” and “Not Afraid.”

Eminem received congratulating messages from his peers, family and friends. The list includes Busta Rhymes, Swizz Beatz, Lazarus, D12’s Kuniva and Bizarre and more. You can check them out below:

Twista answers “Tech N9ne or Eminem” & “Busta Rhymes or Eminem” questions on Drink Champs

Twista has recently visited NORE and DJ EFN on Drink Champs where the three played QuickTime of Slime game during their almost 2 hours interview.

The rules of the game are as following: NORE asks the guest tough questions with two choices, if the guest answers with “both” he drinks. If he comes out with one of the choices, he does not.

One of the questions was, Eminem or Busta Rhymes.

It seems, it was too hard to answer for Twista, so he drank: “Damn, I have to take a shot.”

Twista had a hard time choosing between Tech N9ne and Eminem too when DJ EFN asked so he drank it too. “Nah, you gotta drink on that one. These are my brothers and its actually hard to choose. They go hard man.”

Busta Rhymes salutes Eminem after Super Bowl, congratulates Rock Hall nomination

2022’s Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show not only featured some of the greatest artists in hip-hop, but it also saw Eminem taking a knee.

The kneeling took place after Detroit legend performed his 2002 magnum opus “Lose Yourself.” The kneeling gesture became a subject of controversy when former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick used it as an act of protest against police brutality and racial discrimination.

Busta Rhymes has recently took to Instagram to share new picture with Eminem. In the caption, he writes: “Slim Shady and The Dragon! Eminem Legendary Super Bowl 56 performance and Congrats again on the Rock Hall induction nomination!! Salute!!”

Royce 5’9″ was quick to comment: “Big homie. You shook that weight off like it was nothing.”

Royce 5’9″ shows big support to Eminem’s Rock Hall nomination. Busta Rhymes, Tony Yayo & more react

About a week ago, Eminem received Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame nomination in the very first year of his eligibility which caused lots of debate on social media. Especially after Eminem hit No.1 in Rock Hall’s fan-voting poll.

Royce Da 5’9″ has just responded to the critique with a beautiful Instagram post: “Oh yea. It’s on… I know for a fact that LL Cool J went out of his way to help get my bro inducted…. His word and opinion is law in my world… Ni**as in them Clubhouse rooms ol say it was the “Powers that Be.” If y’all old ni**as believe that dumb s**t, tell them to make another one… A backpack battle rapper turned Icon slash producer slash movie star …. Never used the culture as a stepping stone to cross over into Rock…. Culture from head to toe… A1 since day one… You’ll never see this again in music… EVER… One of One… None to come…”

Busta Rhymes, Tony Yayo, Kuniva, Statik Selektah and Nasaan have responded to Royce’s message in comments. Check the screenshots below:

Eminem, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes – “Hail Mary” (LIVE)

Unlike 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes jumped on a track with Eminem few times. “Calm Down,” “I’ll Hurt You,” and “Touch It (Remix, Live at BET Awards)” also featuring Mary J. Blige, Rah Digga, Missy Elliot, Lloyd Banks, Papoose, DMX and “Hail Mary,” also featuring 50 Cent, which is a diss-track aimed at Ja Rule.

“Hail Mary” is a remake of Tupac’s song with the same name, performed by Eminem, Busta Rhymes and 50 Cent. The track is produced by Hurt-M-Badd.

It’s rare to see Eminem and Busta Rhymes on the same stage and it’s even rarer to see them performing “Hail Mary” but fortunately the footage is stored by SMACK (Streets Music Art Culture & Knowledge) DVD magazine which was created in 2003 and served as a source for rap battles, beefs, live performances and artist interviews before the popularity of social media.

With the recent debate about Eminem and Busta Rhymes Verzuz battle, I hope you enjoy this throwback rare live performance from 2003 below:

E-40 says Busta Rhymes will eat Eminem in Verzuz battle

Former NBA player and sport analyst Jalen Rose and ESPN broadcaster David Jacoby has recently discussed potential Eminem and Busta Rhyme’s Verzuz battle on ESPN’s News That Matter.

Jalen Rose said he wants the two emcees to actually spit bars on the stage, while David Jacoby expressed a desire to see ‘bigger opponent’ for Eminem.

Legendary rapper E-40 has recently visit Jalen and Jacoby on their show where he talked about Busta potentially facing Slim Shady in Verzuz:

“I’m gonan keep it one thousand. He do all the stuff Eminem do and Busta Rhymes got up-temp slash to get the party going.” – said E-40.

Jalen Rose wants Eminem & Busta Rhymes to spit bars in Verzuz but David Jacoby wants ‘bigger opponent’ for Eminem

Former NBA player and sport analyst Jalen Rose and ESPN broadcaster David Jacoby has recently discussed potential Eminem and Busta Rhyme’s Verzuz battle on ESPN’s News That Matter.

“Can it be all these simple with these two gentlemen spitting BAAAARS? This totally makes sense. They have personal connection that’s not gonna make it contentious but yet they have the styles that could go on and on and on and on and on. So both of these guys doing the Verzuz makes total sense. I’m with Swizz Beatz, let’s make it happen and shout out to Dr. Dre, I’m looking forward to Super Bowl performance.” – said Jalen Rose.

“Oh yeah, I saw Super Bowl line-up and I was like ‘that’s so much better than The Weeknd or Bruno Mars or whatever.’ I can’t wit for that. But what I will say about Busta and Eminem is, recently they have been kind of matching up sort of like like-minded acts. I can’t think of two different styles that will be so different. And when I think of Eminem I think of sort of venomous but also extremely well-crafted bars that he poured over again and again and Busta has all charisma and energy, I would like to see how that would play out on stage but if I’m Eminem, I might be holding out for bigger opponent. Bigger than Busta. One time Eminem was filling up 100,000 seat arenas.” – said David Jacoby

Back in 2016, when Eminem dropped “Campaign Speech,” Jalen Rose gave Eminem a shout out: “I’ve heard it multiple times. It’s fire. Bars. He mentions Molly Qerim, and I have people hitting me up thinking that it’s some sort of diss towards me. Eminem is one of the greatest rappers of all time. He’s a fellow Detroiter. We are 100. That’s how we do it.”

Kxng Crooked is not feeling potential Verzuz battle between Eminem & Busta Rhymes

After Dr. Dre ignited the talks of Eminem’s potential Verzuz Battle with his mysterious “Marshall Mathers vs Who?” Instagram post, Verzuz founder and co-host Swizz Beatz expressed his desire to see Busta Rhymes going against Slim Shady.

While many people are eager to see this battle happening, it looks like Kxng Crooked is not a fan of this match-up.

“I am not sold on Busta Vs Em.. I feel like it makes sense to people because they both know how to rap fast but after that happens the catalogs go in two completely different directions, in my opinion.” said Crooked and got into discussion with fans.
