Legendary rapper Fat Joe may have retired if it was not for Eminem.
In an exclusive interview with Rap-Up magazine, to promote Pepsi’s “Your Wildest Dreams” virtual talent competition, the Bronx legend shared how a call from Detroit legend, Eminem, saved him from forever hanging up the mic.
“I really honestly believed that I had retired one million percent. When the G.O.A.T. called, I felt so honored and I was like ‘yo, f**k it, let me hear some beats!.’ Em said you know Joe, you are one of the last ones left. You are making better music now than ever. You can not retire. You can not leave us.” – says Fat Joe
As he previously said, Fat Joe had the chance to sign the Eminem back in the days but passed several times, calling it the “biggest mistake of my whole rap career.”

In a new interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1, Kid Cudi talked his upcoming album Man on the Moon III, and how he wanted “to be respected as an emcee.” You also talked about how a collaboration with Eminem on “The Adventure of the Moon Man and Slim Shady” happened:
“Yo, who do I f**ing get? Who do I f**ing spar with? Who do I go bar-for-bar with? Eminem! I tweeted at him. It was not even in the DMs. Just my timeline. It was public. I was like, ‘Yo Rap God, help!’ And we are really close with Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg and he was able to connect us and we were able to get it done.”
“I’m like waiting, I’m waiting. And I’m like, “Oh s**t. They are asking me questions. They do not say he is going to do it just yet. They are just asking me questions. And I am like, so this means he is going to do it. Right? Because they are asking me questions. And literally it was like every day I was like, ‘Is today going to be the day? Is today going to be the day?’ And, I got it, and I was like, ‘Holy s**.'”
“It was something for me to get the validation from Eminem by doing that record. Him doing that record let me know, like he was telling me like, ‘Yo, I f**k with you as an artist fully, even your bars are dope.'” says Kid Cudi
Kxng Crooked has recently set down with Premier Live TV to talk about Dr. Dre, Slaughterhouse, Joe Budden, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Death Raw Records and more. You can check out the interview below:
On why YouTube removed his interviews, including an interview with Eminem.
“Shout out to Marshall Mathers. When you doing an interview and if you flash to some music or video that you don’t own the copyright to, sometimes you can play it for like 10 seconds. We played a clip for like 11 seconds and they called Google and they were like ‘we want this video out of here!’ and they yank my whole channel up. But it’s cool. People still can go to Crook’s Corner YouTube channel for all the different interviews that I’ve been doing. When you are with Marshall, you are here big fish. You attracted too much attention, you can’t do that with Marshall Mathers.”
On Eminem naming him in the list of Top 10 greatest rappers of all time.
“To have somebody like Marshall Mathers, Eminem, who recognizes you and says you are the most underrated artist in the world and you are my top 10 greatest rappers of all time. It means a lot. Because he’s technician. Not saying it wouldn’t mean as much from someone else but I think it means a little more coming from somebody who understands how to write, who understands how to deliver, who understands breath control, who understands live performance, who understands metaphors, punchlines, similes, storytelling. So when you got somebody on that level who gets it and says you are my top 10, it means a lot.”
On Joe Budden and Eminem situation.
“This is what I always tell Joe. You have a huge voice in the game. So if you say something, that s**t’s gonna resonate. If he says something I disagree with, as far as how s**t went down on Shady Records, you say ‘it happened like this’ and I say ‘naah, id didn’t quite happen like that.’ He just gotta be careful. His voice is big. And one day, I’m hoping him and Em will be able to sit down. They don’t gotta be friends again, they don’t gotta do none of that. Just be men and sit down. Because they cut from the same cloth. They are really deep artists. They love their craft. If you listen to Eminem Stan and Joe fan it’s lot of similarities. They are two good dudes trying to do right things. All that happened for no reason. I really wish they sit down. It might happen. But anyways I think Joe will get back to the booth.”
Kxng Crooked also talks about Slaughterhouse, Dr. Dre, Death Raw Records and more. You can watch the interview below:
Saturday Night Live delivered one of the show’s funniest sketches over the years with a parody of Eminem‘s 2000 hit song “Stan,” featuring Dido and SNL managed to surprise fans with a cameo from the legendary rapper himself along with comedian Pete Davidson.
“Eminem was approached a couple of days in advance by SNL to see if he was available and it worked out for him to do it. It came together really quickly,” a source told to Entertainment Online.
The same magazine spoke with Devon Sawa, an actor who played Stan’s role in Eminem’s original music video, on Monday, while he was promoting his upcoming horror film Hunter Hunter, and he revealed how much he enjoyed the SNL sketch and praised Pete Davidson’s performance in recreating the Stan character into Stu.
“I do not think I have smiled so much in a long time,” says Devon Sawa. “I think Pete Davidson nailed it. Some people do not see some of the things that I saw. He did everything from the pencil blow to certain eyerolls. He really kind of copied me perfectly but also did his own thing and spun it his own way and I am very flattered that I was in a music video that is lasted so long.”
“Someone tweeted me, ‘Are you watching SNL right now?’ and somebody else tweeted that they were doing a ‘Stan’ parody, and my first reaction was, ‘Oh no, are they ripping it apart?’ But it is just funny. It is just they took the song, twisted it, and Pete Davidson is a talented dude.”
1 year ago today, in 2019, we lost one of the most talented rappers from the new generation — Juice WRLD.
Earlier this year, Eminem set down with Kxng Crooked for a lengthy interview where the two talked about many things, including Juice.
“Shout out to Juice WRLD, man. That kid was so talented. His freestyle that he did on Tim Westwood where he rapped for 1 hour…I was like, WHAT THE F**K. The way he was freestyling…That’s the s**t that we used to try to do at the Hip-Hop Shop. It was like, we were working on freestyles but to be able to slip in and out of written when you need to…You got a certain punchline to take out this dude.” says Eminem.
“And to be so young. He mastered that so f**king quickly. It’s really sad…His potential was so off the charts.” – adds Eminem
Watch the interview below:
Eminem and late rapper Juice WRLD team up for the first time on “Godzilla” earlier this year. It marks the first collaboration between Juice and Em. Juice had previously named Eminem as one of his biggest influences in numerous interviews. He also freestyled almost an hour over different Eminem beats on Tim Westwood. You can check all of those stories here.
“Godzilla” also serves as Juice WRLD’s first posthumous release since his passing on December 8, 2019 – exactly six days after his 21st birthday. Juice reportedly recorded the chorus for the track before his untimely death, although he was unable to complete his actual verse for the song in time. Revisit the track below:
This December, the biggest charting company, Billboard, teamed up with Google to debut a new chart which tracks the most popular songs of the year in an entirely new way – humming. Tapping into the new “Hum to Search” feature on the Google app, the brand-new chart captures the most hummed songs of the year in the United States.
This new incredible feature can identify any song you hum, sing or whistle for 9-16 seconds and can then take you to Google Search for more detailed information, music videos, lyrics and analysis. Who was everyone humming in 2020? Check out the Top 20 below:

On this day, 15 years ago, Eminem released his greatest hits album “Curtain Call: The Hits” under Shady Records, Interscope Records and Aftermath Entertainment. The album includes Eminem’s greatest hits, as well as new tracks: “Stan” (live version with Elton John), ‘When I’m gone,’ ‘FACK,’ and ‘Shake That,’ featuring Nate Dogg.
The album was huge commercial success. It sold 441,000 copies in its first week and as of today it is certified 8x platinum in the United States for selling more than 8 million copies in the country. The album also broke a record for the longest charting rap album on Billboard with more than 500 weeks on the charts.
This compilation album closed a chapter for Eminem, who went on a musical hiatus not long after it was released. If you want to know more about the album, watch the rare video below!
“Stan” was released almost two decades ago. And now the comedian Pete Davidson who is close friend of Machine Gun Kelly, parodied the song on “Saturday Night Live” by turning it into a twisted Christmas anthem, “Stu,” and Eminem himself makes the appearance.
With his hair bleached blond hair, Pete Davidson descended down some basement steps to write his letter to Santa Claus. Surrounded by lots of photos of jolly ole Saint Nick, he began, “Dear Santa, I can not believe the year is almost over, it is getting colder, I am a year older but I am still your soldier… the only thing keeping me alive, Dear Santa, please bring me a PS5.”
He continues: “I tried to buy one at Walmart, ran around the shop mall like Paul Blart, tried to find one for sale, but the thing is they are all out, yo, I even went to a Gamestop, but then I was like, ‘Oh wait stop,’ Santa Claus can make one, the man got his own workshop.”
Eminem’s “Stan” features a pop singer Dido singing the chorus, and Kate McKinnon took on that role in “Stu” video. Also Eminem and Sir Elton John famously performed the song the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards. Which is included in the “Stu” clip, as well.
“Stu is waiting for his surprise, to open up a PS5, he just really wants to play, “Assassin’s Creed” on Christmas Day, but he can not buy it himself because he lost his job because he was stealing from his boss, I would be worried, Stu is a scary guy / a scary guy,” McKinnon sang on chorus.
Yang’s verse went: “This year Christmas will be bad, cause Santa s**ks and Stu is sad. He already asked you really nicely and now he is really pissed off. I am just telling you cause I like you a lot. I am a big fan of Santa Claus and I also want a PS5, a PS5.”
The end of “Stu” video, Satna finally responds: “Dear Stu, I think you got the wrong address bro. I’m not Santa Claus, bye bye.”
Eminem made the appearance at the very end of the video, shown on the television screen in Pete Davidson’s basement. Eminem appeared in a holiday sweater, saying he received a PS5 even though he never asked for it: “I guess Shady must have been a good boy this year. Sorry Stu, you f**ed up.”
Few days ago, Cole Bennett, who has previously directed Eminem and Juice WRLD’s “Godzilla” video, posted a picture of him heading to 8 Mile, Detroit. That fact instantly gave Eminem fans hope that Cole and Em are teaming up again for another music video.
Yesterday, Cole Bennett did an interview with YouTuber Anthony Fantano, where the director talked about his plans for December: “It’s gonna be a big December. As of right now there are three videos coming out in December. I can’t say what they are but they are all very special in their own way.”
Kxng Crooked also hinted on something coming out in mid-December on Twitter but he was most likely just messing with the fans. You can check out the tweet below:
As you might know Earlier this year, Eminem and late rapper Juice WRLD teamed up for the first time on “Godzilla,” from the Music To Be Murdered By album.
