White Gold says “Hey Slim” track with Eminem never coming out

Are you ready to get on a new Eminem album hype train? Then…jump in. Yesterday, a user on X who goes by the username @davidhayes1017 and calls himself ‘Music Industry Insider,’ tweeted: “Rihanna, Lil Wayne, & White Gold are listed as TBA Guest Features for an Album under “Unknown” with “Rapper” on the title. Unless there’s a mistake on the Uploader’s End who posted the Slate for March 15th. Next week is empty for Hip Hop besides this artist. It isn’t Kanye.

As the user’s description says, he’s MEDIA PRODUCER, Film Director/Producer. Boxing Analysts and Emmy Award Winning Journalist. He even made a poll asking fans who they think is dropping on March 15 and Eminem dominates with more than 90% of the votes. That’s how hungry Slim Shady fans are right now.

Under the initial tweet, someone commented: “White Gold previewed a track where he starts singing “Hey, slim”. Em has been in the studio for some time, he also confirmed he’s working on “a little something”. And both Rihanna and Wayne are possible features for a new Em project! Do you know anything else about this drop?” On that, White Gold replied: “That song is never coming out…I hadn’t even sent it. It was just an idea I was working on that I forgot to put in my close friends. Sorry.

This lyrics of the song mentions “Slim” and references “As The World Turns,” a 1999 song where Eminem appears entirely as Slim Shady, an alias which represents the dark and impulsive side of his personality. The intro of the snippet goes like this: “Hey Slim, wanna get wasted? / You got all the money in the world, I know your bored / No, but really, Slim / You know you can have 2 million hoes when you tour, maybe more / Look, I thought you was a rapper / Besides the money, ain’t this what you doin’ it for? / Maybe I’m wrong, and as the world turns / You know the public is movin’ on from you, right?”

White Gold and Eminem have previously collaborated on two tracks, “You Gon’ Learn” with Royce 5’9″ and “Zeus”, both from Music To Be Murdered By album. Couple of years ago, the musician hinted that more songs with Em was on the way.

In some related news, few hours ago, Mr. Cii, who previously remixed Eminem’s “Rap God” which finally ended up as a surprise bonus track on Slim Shady’s second greatest hits album Curtain Call 2. On January 16th 2022, Mr. Cii commented on a Paul Rosenberg Twitter post to check out a remix he made. Paul saw the comment and asked for a Dropbox link to which Mr. Cii would send the song. Maybe Mr. Cii got another banger for Em?

White Gold shares Eminem related snippet: Listen

White Gold has recently posted a cryptic video snippet on his Instagram story that’s supposed to be an Eminem song.

This lyrics of the song mentions “Slim” and references “As The World Turns,” a 1999 song where Eminem appears entirely as Slim Shady, an alias which represents the dark and impulsive side of his personality. At the end of the first verse, the evil finally “transforms him” into Shady, losing all impulse control. He then continues to terrorize various women throughout the song.

Last year, the musician hinted that more songs with Eminem was coming.

Reddit user Clear_Letterhead_858 did some research around the snippet and here is what he says: “Did some research in regards to White Gold’s story and DMed narzabeats whose @ is seen in the story. He reposted a reel that an Em fan account posted. I DMed him and asked if it was for an upcoming White Gold song and he liked my DM. I’d say odds are this is for part of an album.”

White Gold talks about Eminem, Royce, MTBMB & more in a recent Q&A

White Gold, who collaborated with Eminem on two songs on Music To Be Murdered By, did a question and answer session on Instagram. Check out highlights about Eminem below:

Q1: What do you think about your collaboration with Eminem and what’s your opinion on Eminem’s deluxe album?
White Gold: “Zeus” was flames. Knew it was a big deal when the word left my lips to be honest. No gas. The deluxe is pretty good. I think Side A is more focused sound-wise but there are so many fun moments on Side B.

Q2:  “You Gon Learn” hook or “Zeus” ?
White Gold:  “Zeus”

Q3: Why didn’t you sing the hook you wrote for “These Demons” ?
White Gold: Eminem had a vision for it before he asked me to write the chorus. As for “Zeus,” I sent that record in with the hook for him. Different process.

Q4: Will you ever release your version of “These Demons” ?
White Gold: I wish but I’m bound by contract not to. My version is WAVY. The energy of the hook way different on my reference. It’s a banger. Even my daughter used to get hype to it when I made it. [Laughs]”

Q5: What creative process excite you the most?
White Gold: Songwriting. I have always been about lyrics and how they relate to music. I started songwriting by writing words down but it seems limiting. Especially, if I’m writing alone. I work out things in my head. Sometimes it takes five minutes (Zeus). Sometimes it takes an hour or longer (You Gon’ Learn)…Hook first.. I also do not have a notebook full of lyrics. I only write to music.

Q6: What’s your Top 5 rappers?
White Gold: Skill-wise it’s Jay Z, Biggie, Nas, Eminem, Royce 5’9″ and Jay Electronica. Discography-wise it’s Jay Z or Kanye West.

Q7: Favorite Eminem song?
White Gold: “Role Model” and “Sing For The Moment”

Q8: Opinion of Lil Pump’s post on Twitter about Eminem?
White Gold: My nephew is 7 years old and does not listen to Lil Pump anymore. Enough said.

Q9: What do you think about Bad Meets Evil?
White Gold: Greatness!

Q10: Who put you on a song first, Royce or Eminem?
White Gold: Royce.
