Royce 5’9″ laughs hysterically at a thought that he can beat Eminem in a rap battle

Last night, Eminem was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame by his mentor and long-time friend, a legendary producer, Dr. Dre.

Slim Shady was accompanied by his daughter Hailie and performed some of his greatest hits alongside Denaun Porter and The Alchemist with special guests, including Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler (“Sing For The Moment”) and Ed Sheeran (“Stan”).

While fans have been expecting 50 Cent and Royce 5’9″ to be beside Eminem on this special night, they were both absent. Fifty is currently on his world tour and was performing in Finland on the same night as Rock Hall ceremony. As far as Nickel, he looks heavily involved in Marshall Mathers Foundation. As you might know, Royce is the director of community engagement and social justice initiative, since 2020.

Royce 5’9″ has recently shared a screenshot of the tweet that says: “Royce 5’9″ would murder Eminem in a freestyle battle. I’m not starting nothing. That’s just how I feel.”

In his Instagram post’s caption, The Detroit emcee wrote: “Hahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaahahahahhahahahahahahaha Thank you so much for the high praise but I had to laugh at that one… Love man… Hahahaha… My brother said “Freestyle” battle… I remember I tried to play with him on some freestyle s**t in the studio when we were kids… Let’s just say, I never tried that again… lol.”

Eminem and Royce released “Hell: The Sequel” extended play back in 2011, as a hip-hop duo called Bad Meets Evil. Since then, fans have been waiting for the duo to release another joint project but the two Detroit legends don’t seem to find a time to make fans wishes come true. Even, under Royce’s “freestyle battle” post, Detroit rapper Lazarus commented: “We need “Bad Meets Evil” Part 2.”

J.U.I.C.E, person who defeated Eminem in a final battle, says he also got Em his record deal

J.U.I.C.E., emcee from Chicago, is revered as one of Hip-Hop’s all-time elite freestylers and punchline wordsmiths however, he is also recognized for his fascinating history surrounding Eminem. He contends to be one of three artists who ever defeated Eminem in a battle, among Big Proof and Rhymefest.

In a new interview with 247HH, J.U.I.C.E. details a turn of events around Marshall Mathers that changed Hip-Hop history.

“A very special moment for me was… Well, it started out in Cincinnati when I battled Eminem. I was fortunate enough to beat him. After I beat him, Wendy Day called me and told me she was doing a Rap Olympics competition, and I told her about Eminem. She was like, ‘Who is he?’ I’m like, ‘He is the coldest rapper I have ever heard. We should bring him to Los Angeles.”

“She got us a hotel room, me, him, and Thirstin were basically staying like a room away from each other. So I am in L.A. for the Rap Olympics, it’s Wendy Day’s event. Wendy is a savant visionary who owns a company called Rap Coalition and she was the sole engineer of this Rap Olympics competition. So she got Thirstin Howl, Eminem, me, Kwest Tha Madd Lad and Wordsworth. And she got us all hotel rooms in L.A. So we were all staying by each other, cyphering… It was a crazy time. We ended up giving Eminem’s demo tape to a friend of ours named Evan Bogart who was producing for Interscope at the time. Evan gave the tape to Jimmy Iovine. Apparently, Jimmy had already got the tape from somewhere, and saw it twice. He was like, ‘Wait a minute, I gotta really look at this tape.’ So that’s basically how it happened. Then we all went to The Wake Up Show, ’cause I was gonna go anyway.”

“In Cincinnati, he was a brash young dude who had never lost a battle and so was I. He was basically like, ‘If we battle, it’s gonna be ugly.’ We were at the bar. I ordered like three Heinekens, and I gave him two, and he’s like, ‘Why’d you give me two Heinekens?’ I’m like, ‘Well, you’re Eminem; there’s one for both of y’all.’ So the mental game started there. But I knew he was as good as me – possibly better. But I felt like I had enough to pull it out if we went head-to-head. I never saw what would happen for him ’cause I never saw him getting a record deal, ’cause what we did was underground; we never did it for that. So I never thought we’d go to L.A. and then Dr. Dre, of all people, would hit him and have Jimmy behind it. And then, with Jimmy behind it, it would blow up to a level bigger than anybody else – even Snoop Dogg, and be the number one dude in the world… I never could have thought that.”

In 2017, J.U.I.C.E. publicly challenged Eminem to a battle rematch. More recently, Em’ spoke of J.U.I.C.E. on Mike Tyson’s podcast. “I got all the way to the end of the Scribble Jam battle, and then I lost to this guy named J.U.I.C.E.. To this day he is still a really good f**king rapper. He is so good that it is okay that I lost to him.”

Royce 5’9″ reveals Eminem’s favorite battle rapper, talks potential Shady & Cassidy battle

Royce Da 5’9″ has recently set down with Mikey T of Report Card Radio, where he talked about meeting Eminem at Usher’s concert, Bad Meets Evil, signing Slaughterhouse to Shady Records and the potential rap battle with Cassidy.

I will say this, Cassidy will have a better shot at Em responding to him with a diss record. Then we would be getting him to come to the battle rap stage and commit to 3 rounds on camera and give somebody ownership of his likeness and that content. But, I do not see him doing that, I do not see a scenario where that would even make sense, somebody of his magnitude. He would be better off just doing it on his own platform and then who would he single out to battle and what would be the purpose.

But Eminem is definitely tuned in, he loves Murda Mook. I think Mook is his favorite right now, but he definitely tuned in, definitely love the battle rap scene. I am sure he fantasizes about that s**t. It is a whole bunch of s**t that he can not do no more that he used to be able to do that he wish he could still do but he just can not because he is just too larger than life.

Battle rap is what what he knows. I mean, it was obviously different when he was actively doing it but there is some truth to a lot of the anecdotal things that everybody regurgitates. I guess if any pivot into any space, its going to require some adjustments, but you know man, the pen is the pen.” says Royce.

I would get excited about somebody like Eminem, definitely, I want that.”

Melle Mel: “I can easily beat Eminem in a rap battle”

Iconic rapper, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five’s Melle Mel has recently set down with DJ VLAD where the two talked about battling Eminem:

“I would easily beat Eminem in a battle. It would be the easiest thing I ever did. Easy. Technically he is a great rapper but I’m the greatest. I know how to write it. When I put it down it’s gonna stay down. It would be the easiest thing that I ever did. And when people bring that up, just say ‘you can’t beat Eminem’. I’ve been doing this all my life. I don’t even write how I used to write but still, easy. Rap is my destiny. Everybody that’s out there rapping, they all trying to do something that I did 40 years ago.” said Melle Mel.

Then he continued: “Rakim was one of the rappers that could rap when we were rapping back then. He definitely is and he changed the game. He was rapping different but when I heard Eminem rapping, I could rap the same. The game didn’t change. It wouldn’t stop nothing. They toss around greatness to much. If you want to be great you have to change something.

“Eminem is great rapper why there is no 50 great white rappers? Why nobody saying who is top 50 white rappers? Cause Eminem changed nothing. I’m not saying he is not a good rapper but what I’m saying is what I did was greatness.” Melle Mel added.
