Benzino Congratulates Eminem on being grandfather: “Love, bro”

Yesterday, Eminem released the music video for “Temporary,” featuring Skylar Grey, the fourth single from his 12th solo studio album, The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace). In the clip, Hailie reveals to Eminem and he’s going to be a grandfather. Surprisingly, Benzino is one of the first people, to congratulate Marshall.

“I wanna make a special announcement right now. Today, somebody found out that they’re going to be a grandfather. And the irony is that, even though he said that nobody wants to hear their grandpa rap, I still wanna send a congratulations out to Eminem and his daughter Hailie on the news that she’s about to give birth and he’s about to be a grandad.” said Benzino.

Then he continued: “I think this is a good time man to put ‘this’ behind us. And lets try to enjoy life and try make some type of statement right now. And I’m just not doing this for no joke or nothing. I truly want to congratulate him and his daughter and him on being a grandfather. I’m not one yet but I’m sure the day will come and I’ll be proud just like he is.”

“With all the craziness that’s going on, we need some peace. We need a statement so we can move forward. So, congratulations to Eminem and Hailie and let me know when the baby’s going to be cause I definitely will send a gift for the baby. Congratulations man, I’m sure you’ll be a great grandfather and I can’t wait till it happens to me. Love, bro.” Benzino added. You can watch the video below:

Benzino’s ghostwriter breaks silence on Eminem diss

Benzino’s “Rap Elvis” ghostwriter, battle rapper Ness Lee finally breaks silence about the diss record and describes the writing process in a new interview with TRAP NEWZ DAILY.

“First of all, f–k that n-gga who sent the video to Cliff Beats. That s–t kinda goofy. But at the end of the day I just wanted to do something historic. I felt like I could accomplish writing a greatest diss song towards Eminem. That’s all I wanted to do.” said Ness Lee.

Then he continued: “If you want to win a round against somebody like Eminem or you want to get close or whatever case may be, I’m the one you come to. I’m not really a fan of everything’s that’s going on after that. First a foremost, I did not have anything to do with the first diss record [Vulturius]. They dropped Proof name like that. I had nothing to do with that. It was not even good enough to be from my pen. Two, I would never disrespect my brother Proof. He was eventually going to sign me back in 03. He was the first person to show me love in the industry of battle rap. That’s my big brother, I would never disrespect him like that. The diss that I did, I said, rest in peace to the best one, the rest of them sound iffy. It was never supposed to be public that it was me. This is my first interview and probably my only interview about it.”

“I’ve been getting some concerned messages from some of my brothers from Detroit, some people who I don’t even know, that felt some kind of way about the first track and I had to tell them that I had nothing to do with that one. I physically does not write that basic. And most of, I would never say that s–t about Proof. If this man [Benzino] is in a war with this dude [Eminem], it’s on him what he wants to say. I can’t dictate. I mean, I can but when I spoke to that man in the beginning, I asked where his mind is on the whole situation and he said ain’t no street involved and that’s when I decided to get involved. I made sure it was not going to be no dumb s–t. I love a lot of people from Detroit.” Ness Lee added. You can watch the entire interview about below:

Cassidy addresses rumors of ghostwriting for Benzino’s Eminem diss in a new song

Cassidy has just confirmed that he did not ghostwrite for any of Benzino’s diss tracks towards Eminem, “Vulturius” and “Rap Elvis” in a snippet of his new song titled “MIND CAPACITY” which he shared on Instagram on Monday (March 25, 2024).

The Philadelphia hip-hop artist and battle rapper addressed the rumors that he was the pen behind the punchlines with the following lines: “I ain’t ghostwrite Benzino diss, that’s bogus. In the past I ghostwrote for the writer that ghostwrote it.

The former Source Magazine owner had previously denied that he had used a ghostwriter for “Rap Elvis” and “Vulturius” following online speculation. “I don’t wanna hear that ghostwriter s–t. This is Hip-Hop, bro. I don’t wanna hear that ghostwriter s–t. Shut the f–k up, bro. You mad because I’m spitting. I wrote that s–t. Yes, my n-ggas handed me some bars but I spit that s–t!”

His comments came after a social media user suggested that Cassidy secretly wrote Benzino’s diss songs due to the similarities in their rhyme style. “Anyone with a good rap ear can hear the Same flow patterns, internal rhyme style & his flips on the same word is SOOO Cassidy. Cass either ghostwrote or Benzino just bit his whole style. Eminem Won.” One fan wrote on Twitter. But later it was revealed that the ghostwriter was Atlanta-based battle rapper who goes by the name of Nes Lee. He’s considered one of the sharpest battle rappers in the game right now. Y’all n-ggas from the city laughing at this s–t. You go to this n-gga mama restaurant and taking signs and s–t, n-gga?! Do you realize Benzino you got a daughter that got to come to Detroit if she go on tour boy!”

Snap uploaded another video where he says: “If real n-ggas would have known that that man was coming here and tryna do that, I guarantee that would never happen. That’s just facts. The real ones that’s in the city that got power and know what’s going on. That would never happen bro.”

Trick Trick also left little message for Benzino and Lazarus dropped off the dome freestyle yesterday in support of the city and Eminem. You can Snap Dogg and Trick Trick’s response in the video below:

Lazarus disses Benzino on “Ether” freestyle for shooting video in Detroit at Eminem’s “Mom’s Spaghetti”

Benzino has recently flown to Detroit to flim the music video of “Rap Elvis” in Eminem’s “Mom’s Spaghetti” restaurant. In the videos that surfaced online, Zino appears to be tasting spaghetti and then throwing it away in front of the restaurant. He also picked the signage board and put it into his car. Then he entered into the museum acted silly in front of iconic Eminem collectibles. While nobody from Shady camp has made any comment about it, Detroit’s own Lazarus speaks up.

Pakistani descent Detroit rapper and doctor has just shared off the dome freestyle, dissing Benzino over the instrumental of NAS’ iconic “Ether” diss-track towards JAY-Z. Lazarus checks Zino for coming to Detroit and disrespecting the city for acting like a fool in the restaurant. You can check the lyrics and the freestyle below:

While Shady in LA with Denaun and 50
You spend your last dollar droppin’ pasta at Mom’s Spaghetti
Dirtied up the room, now get the broom and mop my city
I got no pity, for this homeless beggar, drop you a penny
•••••••
I read your thought like I’m Xavier, you thought you was the savior

But Doctor got your chart, it says no thyroid or no trachea
Your daughter got no faith in ya,
head so damn big, the rest of your body is a eighth of ya
•••••••
Detroit is nothing safe for ya, it’s No Fly

Nosedive, ya flow dry
Unless that ghost rides, on yo side
Do what you do best, and go cry
•••••••
Oh I, got my scalpel for protection

You’ll be anorexic running that many miles, when you press run
Sayin’ the same thing for 20 damn years, it’s dead son
What to do when you got no other known skills and debt come?
•••••••
Get some rest bum, never mention the OGs of my town
I spray rounds, between patients I go see my rounds
It’s my round, no race baiting on my brown, face b–ch, I slap yo ass with my crown
Go back into your night gown, they see you, when emojis come they type clown
And this is just a freestyle, I don’t write down
•••••••
I take all, your fake jewelry, your fake shades, I break all,

Strike you like a 8-ball, like Mike Tyson will Jake Paul
Turn the lights on and see these cockroaches run away crawl
Disrespect Detroit again I’m AWOL, Lazarmy! Sucker!

Benzino vandalizes Eminem’s ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ restaurant while shooting video of “Rap Elvis”

Benzino has recently flew to Detroit to shoot the music video of “Rap Elvis” in Eminem’s “Mom’s Spaghetti” restaurant.

In the videos that surfaced online, Zino appears to be tasting spaghetti and then throwing it away in front of the restaurant. He also picked the signage board and put it into his car. Then he entered into the museum and god knows what he did there, well, you can see it in the video below. Benzino also hired bodyguard HOLLOW DA BEAR for his security.

“Rap Elvis” is Benzino’s second response to Lyrical Lemonade and Eminem’s “Doomsday Pt. 2” song. The title is reminiscent of “Rap Devil”, Machine Gun Kelly’s diss directed towards Eminem. Notably, Eminem hasn’t responded to any of Benzino’s disses. The diss track was initially rumored to be ghostwritten by Cassidy, but later revealed to be battle rapper Ness Lee in a leaked video of the studio session this song was made in.

“Mark this date. #Rapelvis Video soon come……oh the spaghetti was horrible. #shadyslayer” said Benzino on Instagram. He also posted a screenshot of Royce 5’9″‘s “Cap” comment on Detroit Rap Daily’s post that said Benzino was going to shoot the music video of “Rap Elvis” in Detroit at Mom’s Spaghetti Restaurant. “@royceda59 no cap.” Zino wrote in caption.

Benzino reacts to Dr. Dre saying Eminem is the best MC ever

Dr. Dre has recently stopped by SiriusXM’s The Life of Mine With James Corden show on Thursday (March 14, 2024), where the iconic hip-hop producer crowned Eminem as the best emcee to ever touch the microphone. Dre also reflected on meeting Eminem for the first time at Jimmy Iovine’s office in the ’90s and how their first time in the studio produced “My Name Is” from The Slim Shady LP: “I met Eminem at Jimmy Iovine’s office. We slapped hands, went to the studio and started recording and I’m not sure if anybody knows this, but I think the first four albums was just me and him and his writing and his delivery and his imagination is off the charts and I don’t think anyone would disagree with that.” said Dr. Dre.

Then he continued: “Hi, my name is, is the first thing that happened. I put the beat on and he just did that right away. We are in the studio. I hit play on it, and he just went ‘Hi, my name is!’ It happened that fast. No bullsh–t. And then we went from there and that was the beginning of this relationship. And I think he is the best emcee ever. Point blank, period. Of course there gonna be arguments about that because he’s white guy, you know. I don’t think anyone that is rapping can touch Eminem on microphone.

In the same interview, Dre also confirmed that he’s reuniting with an old friend for a new project, as Dre’s teasing an album on the way with Snoop Dogg: “I know as odd as it sounds, I’ve only produced one album on Snoop, which was in 1993, Doggystyle. I mean, we’ve done some songs and we’ve played around in between, of course, but that is the one and only album I’ve produced on Snoop, Doggystyle, so we decided to call this one Missionary. Snoop is really sounding fantastic and people are gonna be really shocked and amazed at how we’ve been able to come back together after all these years and do something. It’s really interesting.

It appears Benzino was not happy with Dr. Dre’s opinion. Zino shared the news on Instagram with the caption: “You know I think Dr. Dre is one of the greatest producers of all time, and notice I didn’t say Hip-Hop producers, but this is an insult to Cube, REN, Snoop, DOC and every other rapper who who wrote all those hits. I mean this is his opinion and I respect it but c’mon Dre.” Check out the post below:

Danny Brown talks about Eminem vs Benzino & MGK on Drink Champs

In the latest episode of Drink Champs, Detroit’s own Danny Brown sits down with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN to discuss his journey to sobriety, his love for Detroit style pizza, and his take on the Eminem vs. MGK and Eminem vs. Benzino beef. Brown also delves into his musical influences, including Nas, Ghostface Killah, and the UK grime scene. The Detroit rapper shares stories about losing his teeth, his experiences with Adderall, and his admiration for the Insane Clown Posse’s business model. Throughout the interview, Brown showcases his unique personality and his deep appreciation for hip hop culture.

At one point of the interview N.O.R.E. asked him whose side he’s on in Slim Shady and Benzino beef. Here is what Danny replied: “I mean, I’m obviously going to ride with my city. I’m an Eminem guy.” Later, the crew talked about Eminem vs Machine Gun Kelly and Em’s influence on the game.

DJ EFN: Eminem or MGK?
Danny Brown: C’mon man. Y’all tryna be funny now. I mean, of course it’s gonna be Em. We would not get MGK if it was not for Em. No white boys coming around, you know. We had 3rd Bass, [Beastie Boys, Vanilla Ice]. My favorite white rapper right now is El-P.

N.O.R.E.: I’m not gonna lie, we just had Benzino on Drink Champs. I did defend Eminem as much as I can but my favorite white rapper of all times is Eminem. I can’t deny that at all. Zino is my brother but the thing about it is, I don’t like Eminem because he’s white, I like Eminem because I like Eminem. That’s it. I know what he was trying to bait me into doing but no, it’s not I like him because he’s white, I like him because I like syllables, I like how he puts motherf–king words together. F–k that, I don’t care.
Danny Brown: I mean, that’s rappers’ rapper type s–t. You understand how difficult it is to do what he do when you do this s–t. So, motherf–kers always trying to talk s–t. Like ‘we don’t hear Eminem in the club.’ N-gga! You still go to the club?! You hear Eminem at f–king football games and stadiums and s–t like that. At the end of the day, no one can take what he’s done for white boy rappers. It wouldn’t be y’all n–gas now it’s so many f–king Eminem clones in this s–t.

N.O.R.E.: If you go to Spotify, Eminem is still No.1 f–king artist listened to. You know why I wanted to defend Eminem? It’s not only because of Benzino. It’s because I hate when people say ‘yeah, he’s nice for white for a white guy.’ He’s nice because he’s nice!
Danny Brown: No, he was better than n–gas when he first came out. That’s the way he got cracking.

Benzino responds to Eminem’s “Doomsday Pt. 2” music video

Cole Bennett and Lyrical Lemonade team have finally dropped the music video of Eminem‘s “Doomsday Pt. 2” song from All Is Yellow album with the cameos from Big Sean, BabyTron, Denzel Curry, Teezo Touchdown, JID, Swae Lee and Cordae and Coi Leray and Benzino were quick to react on it.

In the song, Eminem throws jokes at Benzino for almost a minute and name-drops her daughter, Coi Leray with the following lines: “Well, I guess then I regret to inform you, hate to spoil the day (What?) / But this doesn’t bring me no joy to say (Huh?) / Guess that Coi Leray feat’s in the toilet, ayy? (Goddamn).”

Coi responded to the video by commenting “Cute” under Cole Bennett’s latest post on Instagram. Benzino also didn’t take long to react to the video. “He finally responded‼️ can someone tell me what in the plastic surgery happened to his face?? He looks like a waking corpse. Nah…this ain’t it. RAP ELVIS DESTROYED Eminem.” said Zino on Instagram while sharing a snippet of the video posted by Detroit Rap Daily. Someone replied: “Man, you don’t want him to respond. this is the same song you milked some extra sad fame.”

Crunchy Black weighs in on Eminem & Benzino beef

Crunchy Black from legendary Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia has recently sat down on VLAD TV where he talked about Eminem and Benzino’s recent beef.

Interviewer: I know you don’t speak on women’s beef. So we gon’ bring it over to the men. Eminem. This dude is like hermit of rap. You don’t see him and then he pops his head out and then he goes back into his cave. He came out with a diss record out of the clear blue sky against Benzino.
Crunchy Black: I’m an Eminem fan. God, why he do that? Benzino? That n-gga can’t rhyme. Benzino needs to just stop. Ain’t no way in hell you finna kill no Eminem dawg. Cut that s–t out. You pacing your raps together. This n-gga rapping like Megan Stallion with Nicki. Cut that s–t out. Y’all just wanna be known. You wanna be known? Shoot yourself in the lake.

Interviewer: Maybe you didn’t hear what I said. Benzino was sitting home, chilling. Eminem just dropped record out of the clear blue sky and it was a diss record against Benzino.
Crunchy Black: Yeah, he might smell the man s–t a long way but in real life that was something that was old. He just came back and thought about it and said okay. I don’t know what they got going on but a lot of folks been f–king up.

Interviewer: Benzino dropped two joints and both of them were dope. And don’t get me wrong. You are talking to Eminem fan right now. Eminem is bananas on the mic and anybody who know me I give credit where it’s due. I’m from the East Coast, I respect lyrics. But my man Benzino dropped two bangers. He came back strong.
Crunchy Black: He dropped two? Eminem dropped one and he dropped two? Then he lost again.

Studio session of Benzino & his ghostwriters of Eminem-diss has been leaked

Popular YouTuber Cliff Beats has recently received a message from stranger who is asking $20,000 dollars for leaking Benzino ‘s 10 hours session of Eminem diss song “Rap Elvis.”

Here are the messages and video Cliff Beats received. “Peace, reaching out to you on behalf of the actual artist/producer of Rap Elvis to ask you if you think there may be a buyer for the actual reference track. Think it’s time we leak it. If so, let’s talk. If you may not know of anyone that may not want to purchase it to leak no problem. Thanks in advance.”

“We recorded it out here in the A. My guy Ness is the writer/producer of the track. I’m the one who put the whole play together. We talked about reaching out to someone that might wanted to get compensated being that it’s a piece of a puzzle everyone is looking for. I checked a few of your videos out and you seem like a solid individual so I reached out.”

“Have not shopped it yet. We definitely have the whole recording process. Just say it was Dr. Dre with Eazy-E first song process. Line for line. I only sent you that so you know I’m not bs’n with you. We talking 20K. That way we get payed and the person that drops it first get monetized through views and reactions. If you yourself pass, maybe you have someone in mind that may want an exclusive. I hollered at you first because I can appreciate how you break down your videos and can tell you know what you are talking about.”

“Got the whole studio session, as well as the whole reference track. Same person that did the reference track is the same person engineering the whole session. He did everything except the album cover which was my homeboy girl. I know because I was there whole 10 hours of recording! One way or another, I do appreciate your help. Two of my guys had their cameras tolling in front of everyone. Regular cams, no phone footage either. Just let me know what you hear. Thank you again.”

Charlamagne reacts to Benzino crying over Eminem beef

Charlamagne tha God, Jess Hilarious and DJ Envy have recently discussed Benzino’s new emotional interview on Drink Champs with NORE and DJ EFN.

During Drink Champs interview, Benzino got drunk, got emotional and started crying: “I don’t have nothing against Eminem. He can rap but I care about us more. I don’t want to talk about it no more. For 22 years, every time I do interviews they ask me about Eminem. The fu-k you want me to do? C’mon man. My daughter came to industry figuring ‘I gotta be cool with Eminem because everybody is against my dad.’ You think this sh-t is fu-king cool? Nah man, we are failing as a people. I don’t hate Eminem. I don’t know him to hate. I don’t hate white people. I’m tired of this sh-t man. It’s too much.”

After Jess Hilarious played the audio for Charlamagne, he said: “I like when people get that drunk. That’s when alcohol gets your holiness soul, you just start spilling your gut and give your life to the Lord in that moment. I respect it.”

He then continued: “Whatever he said in that moment is what he means. So, he don’t hate white people and he don’t have a problem with Eminem like that. That’s it.” From there, DJ Envy added: “I feel Benzino. They play on Benzino’s name a lot. Let’s be honest. Benzino was one of the people who created The Source magazine which was an institution that helped so many different artists. They were doing so well.” Charlamagne added: “They always coming for his neck. You know what I mean. Salute to Benzino. And Salute to Drink Champs.”
