Tony Yayo talks being in studio with Eminem, compares him to NAS

Tony Yayo has recently sat down with VLAD TV where he talked about being in the studio with Kanye West, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre and Eminem.

“To be in the studio with Dr. Dre and Eminem, that was my dream. I remember Fif calling me, smoking, and Dre’s playing in the clubs. That dude is best producer in the world and I’m in the studio with him. And we New York ni–as so I’m like this is a dream come true. Smoking LA weed, never left the hood, Dre is playing beats and I’m like ‘that’s dream come true!’ That’s why I’m always so humble. I might not have as much cars, chains, b–ches as other rappers but it’s not about that. It’s about experience, man.” said Yayo.

Then he continues: “Then we were in the studio in Detroit. It’s called as a b–ch. We are out there with Eminem. That’s f–king crazy. That dude just sold 16 million records. We used to go in LA with Dre and then we used to go in Detroit to mess with Em. Shout out to Tracy, Paul Rosenberg they all treated us as family over there.”

At this point, VLAD asked what makes Eminem to differ from another rappers in the booth. On that, he replied:

“I think what Eminem makes him astronomical is, when we were doing “Many Men” he was doing the production, cause does a lot of production on a lot of stuff on Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, it was the footsteps in the shots and he was like footsteps came from poltergeist, it’s crazy… Just like NAS, he’s as lyrical as NAS and then a lot of people say ‘I don’t really hear him in the club,’ but nah, it’s not about that, ‘I don’t really hear him in car,’ nah, that’s not about that too! Right now Eminem can sell out the stadium with no problem. 62 million monthly listeners on Spotify! Big boy numbers!”

“What he did for me and what I see he did for 50 and Banks and G-Unit as a whole, D12, Obie Trice, everybody went platinum and gold! Getting co-signs from him we had the overseas connection cause it was not really just Interscope. Interscope was part of Jimmy Iovine but Eminem is a machine in his own. He might not come outside and relate to other s–t that people wanna see him but still bro, look what he did with Griselda. They are fire but that Eminem cosign, when you look at Joe Budden and Slaughterhouse, Eminem cosign is a different kind of cosign. G-Unit would never be no serial video video game, socks, shirts selling millions if not Eminem and Dr. Dre cosign.” – Tony Yayo added.

50 Cent says Eminem turned down $9m World Cup performance

Today 50 Cent dropped by the neighborhood to speak with Big Boy about Black Mafia Family Season 2, touring 36 countries, and surpassing 1.8 billion views in 2022. He also discussed his Super Bowl performance with Dr. Dre and Eminem, his First Pitch for the Mets, and his hit song “In Da Club.”

Plus, 50 Cent said that he plans to create an “8 Mile” TV show. He also revealed that Eminem turned down $9 million offer to perform at the FIFA World Cup 2022.

“My relationship with Em is a lot more texting cause I’m moving a lot. Because of the Super Bowl I got an inquiry about the World Cup and they had a budget of nine million dollars for it. I would have took one big. And then another eight… I’m just saying, if you do one-off show maybe you would do the biggest live sporting event in the world. I talked to Paul Rosenberg and everybody around him and he was like ‘Em’s not gonna do it.'” said 50 Cent during the interview.

During the interview, Fif also revealed that Dr. Dre has couple of feature films that were never released.

50 Cent reveals he’s working on “8 Mile” TV series with Eminem involved

Couple of days ago, TMZ caught up with the “8 Mile” star Mekhi Phifer where the Hollywood star turned down the possibility of Eminem shooting “8 Mile 2” movie but it seems 50 Cent is already working on the 8 Mile TV Series about Eminem’s legendary career.

“Second part? Sometimes it’s best to leave at one. Sometimes it’s best to leave it alone, once you make a classic, there is no reason to fool around with it. There has not been any conversations about it and it might never happen. Leave the classic alone and it will all be good. Just live with the 8 Mile. It might be interesting what happened next but the story that we told it was all good. I would not be in it. I’m sure Eminem would be in it either.” said Mekhi Phifer.

Noreaga invites Eminem on Drink Champs

Back in 2016, N.O.R.E., also know as Noreaga reunited with DJ EFN to begin hosting the “Drink Champs” podcast. Since then, some of the biggest hip-hop names were featured in recent episodes, including Kanye West, Snoop Dogg and The Game.

Hip-hop superstars are sharing stories and updates while drinking alcohol. The podcast has achieved more than five million listens per month. Since November 2016, the show has been aired on digital cable television network, Revolt.

Noreaga has recently done a question and answer session on Twitter where fans asked different kinds of question. One of the fans asked him to invite Eminem to Drink Champs: “How about getting Eminem or Jay-Z on drink champs? Those would be epic.” On which NORE replied: “You say it like its that easy!!”

Another user said: “Lol, drunk Eminem would be fun. Try it.” On that, the Queens’ rapper replied: “Paul Rosenberg will never let drunk Eminem exist again and he is right!!!”

Then one of the fans replied: “You had Royce without alcohol right?” Noreaga was quick to reply: “Alcohol isn’t the problem with Em, I want him to know he deserves his roses!!!”

Westside Gunn reveals how he gets Eminem & Jay-Z to listen to his Griselda artists

In an exclusive interview on Rap Radar Podcast with Elliott Wilson and Brian “B. Dot” Miller, debuting through iHeartRadio, Griselda co-founder Westside Gunn explained how being in the middle of the underground Hip-Hop scene and the mainstream has helped his rap career. It’s also given him the chance to uplift the rappers on his New York-based label and display their talents for major artists in his inner circle to see like Eminem, JAY-Z, Drake and others.

“When you’re underground, a lot of eyes and ears aren’t on you. Now like I said, I’m right in that middle. So I know if I curated a project, Drake might listen to it. Travis might listen to it, Tyler might listen to it, Hov might listen to it, Nas might listen to it, Marshall might listen to it. So I do these albums so Hov can hear Rome. So Nas can hear Rome. So Marshall can hear Rome, you feel me?” said Gunn.

Then he added: “Since y’all paying attention to me, let me show you something. That’s what it’s about. It’s spreading the culture. I’m not selfish. I want my guys to shine.”

After the end of 2023, Westside Gunn is also considering retiring from hip-hop scene.

In a series of tweets, the Buffalo rapper began his farewell by saying he has nothing else left to prove. He then started recapping his career, listing out some of his collaborators and producers he’s worked with. The list is pretty legendary from late rappers MF Doom and Prodigy to Jay-Z and Eminem.

Mekhi Phifer talks about the possibility of Eminem’s “8 Mile 2”

TMZ has recently caught up with the “8 Mile” star Mekhi Phifer shortly after the classic hip-hop battle movie marked its 20th anniversary in 2022. The interviewer asked if there was anything in the works for a new story related to the OG characters of the film and here is how he replied:

Couple of months ago, the producer Mike WiLL Made-It suggested the Detroit legend to make the sequel 8 Mile movie.

“Eminem needs to do 8 Mile 2. His story when he got the deal and s–_ went up…” – tweeted the Grammy-award winning producer.

8 Mile is a critically acclaimed film with a massive commercial success. It opened at No. 1 in the United States with $51.3 million grossed in its opening weekend and an eventual total of $242.9 million in box office worldwide.

Shady Records marketing team & director hints on “Eminem season 2023”

According to the official reports, Eminem was named as the most watched rapper on YouTube in 2022 after finishing the year wit more than 5 billion views.

50 Cent shared the news on Instagram with the caption: “That’s my Boy! I’m gonna remind people I’m nice this year. New Music, New TV, New movie… let’s go!”

The same picture was shared by James Larese, a music director who has previously worked with Eminem on “From Detroit To The LBC,” with Snoop Dogg, “Is This Love (09′),” with 50 Cent “Darkness,” “Rainy Days” with Westside Boogie, “Lucky You,” with Joyner Lucas, “Fall” and “Fast Lane” with Royce 5’9″ music videos. They also has recently worked on SNL sketches when Eminem made the cameo with Pete Davidson.

In the caption of his story, James Larese wrote: “Numbers don’t lie. 22’ was special but 23’ gonna be one for the books.”

The Burn It Down Group, which is a marketing team for Shady Records, also shared the news on Instagram, saying: “It’s going to a Big Shady 2023.”

Aside from Eminem probably dropping new album and music videos, Slim Shady is rumored to headline some of the biggest stages this year as a part of his tour. Lupe Fiasco decodes Eminem lyrics during his lecture in MIT

Lupe Fiasco has recently shared footage of him teaching his new “Rap Theory & Practice” class at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As part of the course, which is described as “an exploration into the underlying fundamental functions, structures, and principles of rap,” Fiasco decodes and breaks down lyrics from himself, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar.

Songs that Lupe Fiasco examined during the lecture included Eminem’s  2000 hit song “Stan,” from The Marshall Mathers LP album, Kendrick Lamar’s “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst” and his own track “Jonylah Forever,” from his 2018 release DROGAS Wave.

“Stan! Anybody not aware of Stan? Anybody not blown away with that list? Stan is probably Eminem’s greatest record. Arguably, hands down, probably Eminem’s greatest record. This song is about a fan. It’s where we get the word Stan from. The song is about a fan who writes Eminem a letter. “Dear Marshall…” and writes his first verse. Writes another letter in second verse that’s little bit more aggressive. Then he does the third verse, per say. It’s a recording. Stan recording himself, kidnapping his girlfriend and doing this wired murder suicide plot. And he’s recording this thing to Eminem and at the end of the verse he comes to realization, ‘oh s–t, how I’m gonna send this out?!’ But that’s not a plot twist. That’s great. you gotta stop there but there is fourth verse. And the twist is, Eminem finally receives the letter from the first verse and he sat down to response: ‘Dear Stan…” and at the end of the verse, Eminem has the epiphany ‘oh s–t, it was you.’ The layering and the complexity of how he worked that repetition plot break structure, it was masterful. Taking very simple concept that we all learned when we were kinds.” said Lupe Fiasco.

50 Cent reacts to Eminem’s latest YouTube achievement, promises new music in 2023

With four Billboard No. 1 singles, 13 Top 10 hits and 41 Hot 100 songs, 50 Cent may have dominated hip-hop 2000s and 2010s but nowadays he is looking to climb the charts of a different kind — with TV Shows and his latest podcast.

Fifty has recently spoke to PEOPLE magazine about his growing interest in true crime and his latest project, his Surviving El Chapo podcast.

“I like true crime, period, the entire genre. If you don’t read the news, if you’re not in the current events, [then you should]. I do.” said Fiddy.

In recent years,  50 Cent has put making new music on the back burner while expanding his profile as an actor and producer. Jackson found success acting on the Starz series Power from 2014 until 2020 and has a role in The Expendables 4 next year. As a television producer, he helped bring the crime drama Black Mafia Family to life and saw his Hip-Hop Homicides series premiere on AMC earlier this month.

Eminem has recently been named as the most watched rapper on YouTube in 2022 with more than 5 billion views and 50 could not help him not to react to it. In his Instagram post, Fiddy shared screenshot of an Eminem article with the caption: “That’s my Boy! I’m gonna remind people I’m nice this year. New Music, New TV, New movie… let’s go!”

Knoc-turn’al talks about Eminem: “He had to work ten times harder than us cause he was white”

Knoc-turn’al, who was introduced to the world on Dr. Dre’s multiplatinum album 2001, has recently sat down Cam Capone News where he talked about Eminem and Dr. Dre.

Knoc shined on the songs “Some L.A. Ni–az” and “Bang Bang.” Knoc-turn’al also penned some of the verses for the 2001 album. Dr. Dre then featured Knoc-turn’al on the Dr. Dre classic single and video “Bad Intentions” for the movie soundtrack “The Wash.”

“Eminem has always been fire. He’s a good dude. He has been through a lot but he got it keep together. Eminem has always been a jokester fun dude to be around. You gotta understand he had to work ten times harder than African-American in this business because he’s white. So he had to work harder than us. He had to prove himself. And people don’t understand that point.” said Knoc-turn’al in a new interview.

Then he continues: “Crazy thing is that, Eminem is die-hard, true person. If he cares about you he cares about you. If he don’t, he don’t. Even on The Chronic, 2001 tour, Eminem taking all the b–ches and I can’t even get one. All I am is that I’m on Dr. Dre’s album. I was like ‘give me ne of them dolls’ while he was on stage and he said ‘I think you already stole couple of them.’ Being around him is a fun. He’s a jokester but you gotta get to know people to understand the pain and different things they have been through.”

“I came at the time when Xzibit, Eminem, Hittman, Mel-Man had been around and we had fun.” – Knoc-turn’al added.

DJ Khaled shares his reaction after getting rare Eminem x Jordan 4s Retro Encore

To get the hands on Eminem and Jordan 4 Retro Encore sneakers that cost around $40,000 are very rare case in today’s world and it seems DJ Khaled finally got them.

“I finally got them. Anybody know me knows that I’ve been trying to get this longest time. Yes I have a lot of sneakers. I collect sneakers. I collect watches. And I love my sneakers. But I’ve been trying to get these for so long and I finally got them. This is the OG, don’t get twisted. The world has made like 23 pairs of this. It seems, DJ Khaled two dreams have both came true in 2022. He finally got that rare Eminem Air Jordan 4s and got Slim Shady as a feature on his “GOD DID” album: “Use This Gospel (Remix)” by Kanye West, featuring Eminem and produced by Dr. Dre.

“The Heart Part 5” almost featured Kendrick Lamar transforming into Eminem

Grammy-nominated music video “The Heart Part 5,” by Kendrick Lamar, that was released alongside the song on May 8, 2022, almost featured an Eminem deep-fake.

In the video, K. Dot performs the song against a red wall, while using deep-fake technology to transform himself into 6 modern Black American figures: in order, they are former football player and convicted felon O. J. Simpson, rapper Kanye West, actors Jussie Smollett and Will Smith, former basketball player Kobe Bryant, and late rapper Nipsey Hussle.

In a recent interview with The New York Times magazine, it was revealed that Dave Free and Kendrick Lamar collaborated with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who both own a company specializing in the deep fake technology. The famous TV duo lent the technology to the pgLang pair, who were the first artists to use the technology in their music video.

“You see Kendrick turned into Tupac, Kendrick turned into Kanye, and I think we had Eminem and we were like ‘What if we did the Jussie Smollett!” Eminem didn’t make the final cut, and K. Dot ended up on deep fakes of Kanye West, Nipsey Hussle, Will Smith, Kobe Bryant, OJ Simpson and Jussie Smollett.

New Jersey rapper who goes by the name of AK took to social media shortly after the video dropped to accuse Kendrick of stealing his idea. Austin Kassabian claimed Kendrick copied the deepfake concept from his “Family Tree” video, which was released back in September 2020.  The black-and-white clip shows AK rapping into the camera in front of a blank backdrop as his face transforms into some of the biggest names in hip-hop: Lil Wayne, Missy Elliot, Eminem, MC Lyte, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Nate Dogg, T-Pain, J. Cole, Nas, Rakim, Andre 3000, 50 Cent, Jay-Z and Drake.

In the song, AK raps: “I am AK, I am not the next Em / But everybody telling me that I’m the next him / But understand there will never be a next Em / You’ll probably twist my words and say I don’t respect him / I always preach to keep it real so I’m about to now / Em did not influence me ’cause I was not allowed / To listen to him, my parents said I was just a child / I wondered why and I look back and I got it now / My young mind back then probably wasn’t ready / To hear the shit that he talked about, they said he was too edgy / I couldn’t listen to anything, younger me, he was begging / I couldn’t wait to hear the song about his momma’s spaghetti / His influence on me was indirect / ‘Cause I was listening to Hopsin, I was obsessed / I come to find he was the same way when it came to Em.” (via Genius)
