Denaun Shares Details on Eminem’s Unreleased Music Vault

Longtime Eminem collaborator and close friend Denaun Porter recently shared insights during an interview with Marv Won about the vast archive of unreleased music left in the vault. His comments shed light on the intense perfectionism and selective nature that dictate which tracks actually make it onto Eminem’s official project tracklists.

Speaking on unused material, Denaun revealed that he crafted a massive track intended for 2018’s Kamikaze album that ultimately never saw the light of day. He noted, “I had a banger for Kamikaze album. It was a complete banger. I won’t tell you the title of the song cause Em’s kind of person that go back and listen to something.”

Porter expressed his frustration over the sheer volume of high-quality tracks Eminem routinely shelves instead of releasing to fans. “There are some songs that I hate he never released. I was like ‘bro, just give me the song!’ He got some songs that I’m so mad he won’t put them out,” Denaun admitted.

He pointed to a specific instance involving Eminem’s 2024 concept album The Death Of Slim Shady, recalling an incredible introductory track that was abruptly scrapped. “He played me the intro to The Death Of Slim Shady, I was like ‘MAN, WHAT?!’ and I don’t know where the song’s at. He just murdered it. He didn’t even have a hook. He just murdered it and then he was like, ‘nope!'” Porter shared.
