Former Shady Records artist Stat Quo recently pulled back the curtain on Marshall Mathers’ intense discipline and high-risk history during an appearance on The 3rd Verse Podcast. Reflecting on their time traveling and working together, Stat highlighted both Eminem’s unbelievable physical endurance and the extreme loyalty of his long-time security detail. The former Shady signee broke down two specific incidents that left a lasting impression on him—starting with a grueling trek in Hawaii where Eminem left his entire crew in the dust.

“We went in Hawaii and there is a mountain high as f–k,” Stat Quo recalled while describing Marshall’s athletic condition. “People walk up this s–t but it takes an hour or some s–t. Marshall was in such good shape, we were dying walking up in this motherf–ker but then here comes Em and runs up the whole s–t. It was literally a mountain with stairs and this n-gga Marshall ran the whole s–t.”

Beyond his physical stamina, Stat shared another lesser-known incident from the volatile peak of the Aftermath and Death Row era, involving a tense mid-air confrontation while traveling to meet Dr. Dre. “Another crazy Eminem story that no one was. Eminem was on a plane with all the Death Row guys, by himself with one plane security guy dude,” Stat revealed. “He’s still with Marshall to this day and this is how he got the job. They were going to f–k Em up on that plane. Bloods, all the Suge Knight n-gga and they were going over there cause they knew Dre was over there in Hawaii.”

The potentially dangerous conflict was defused only when Eminem’s sole security guard took an extreme stand to ensure his protection mid-flight. “That security guy told them Bloods, ‘If y’all touch him, we are all going to die because I’m going to run in that room and crush the plane.’ Needless to say, nobody touched Eminem,” Stat explained, adding how rare that level of devotion is in hip-hop. “He’s still with Em today. When Dre was inducted into the Walk Of Fame, he was there with Em. That’s the type of loyalty this motherf–ker has. That kind of loyalty in the music industry in unheard of.”
