Stat Quo Recalls Paul Rosenberg’s Angry Reaction to Leaking Unreleased Eminem and Dr. Dre Song

Stat Quo Recalls Paul Rosenberg’s Angry Reaction to Playing Unreleased Eminem & Dr. Dre Song

Posted on June 20, 2026 By Remy Gelenidze

In the fast-moving world of hip-hop news, a snippet of a song on social media can turn into a global headline within minutes. Former Shady Records artist Stat Quo recently reminded fans of this reality during one of the recent 3rd Verse Podcast episodes. Reflecting on his time working closely with the industry’s elite, the Atlanta rapper shared a hilarious—yet incredibly tense—story about the day he inadvertently triggered the wrath of Paul Rosenberg by previewing an unreleased track featuring Eminem and Dr. Dre.

The incident occurred when Stat Quo decided to share a brief musical moment with his social media followers. Believing his relatively small digital footprint would keep the preview under the radar, he played a rare, vaulted track directly from his vehicle. However, in the ecosystem of Shady/Aftermath fandom, no leak goes unnoticed, no matter how small the account originating it might be.

Stat Quo detailed the entire sequence of events during the podcast episode, stating: “I was playing this Eminem song, that never came out, in my truck. It’s Em and Dre. Cause you know Dre, I got so many songs he sends me and I listen to. I’m playing it on my Instagram story. I ain’t got a lot of followers. Like, 15,000 people but when I played that song every blog picked it up. Paul Rosenberg called me, like ‘What you doing?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING STAT?’ He was like ‘You can’t do that.’ I was like ‘I only have 15,000 followers.’ Paul’s like ‘It only takes one person to copy it and put it everywhere. You can’t do that.’ I told Paul ‘Dawg, I’m sorry. I’m a fan.’ At the end of the day, I work with this people, but I’m a fan of them so I got carried away. That’s where learned my lesson. Since then I have not been putting up songs that I shouldn’t be having. But boy, when I tell you, I got some fiery music in this phone right here from some of your greats, I got songs that I should not have in here. And if I sent them to Justin, he’ll play every last of them.”
