Eminem Appears on the Final Episode of Stephen Colbert’s show “Only in Monroe” Posted on May 23, 2026 By Remy Gelenidze When late-night host Stephen Colbert hosted a special episode of the public-access show Only in Monroe in Monroe, Michigan, he decided to end the broadcast in the most chaotic way possible. At the conclusion of the final episode, Colbert completely destroyed the studio set. He piled everything into a large garbage bin, preparing to set the entire collection of studio items on fire. Advertisement Before striking a match, Colbert paused to address the camera with a standard safety warning. He told the audience, “Now, obviously safety first. Before we spark this bad boy up, you always have to check with the fire marshal to make sure that it’s okay.” He then posed a direct question to the local authority: “Marshall, are you okay if we light this up?” Advertisement The show then cut to a pre-recorded video clip featuring a surprise appearance by one and only, Eminem. Playing on the pun of his real name, Marshall Mathers, the Detroit legend stepped into the role of the authority figure Colbert was looking for.Looking directly into the camera, Eminem delivered his official and explicit approval to destroy the remaining props. Slim Shady told the host, “Stephen, Marshall here.
