DJ Whoo Kid Recalls Making $10K By Booking A Fake Eminem At Clubs

In a hilarious new interview with Diverse Mentality, legendary mixtape maestro DJ Whoo Kid shared a wild throwback story from his touring days with Eminem. The veteran DJ detailed a brilliant, albeit deceptive, side hustle he ran while overseas, capitalizing on the intense global mystique surrounding the Detroit rap icon.

According to Whoo Kid, the entire scheme relied on the uncanny resemblance of a specific member of Eminem’s traveling crew. “There was Parshall, he was like Eminem’s stunt double,” Whoo Kid explained. “When we went to Japan, we opened up for Eminem on a Japan tour. I had a scheme where I was charging $10k to bring Eminem to the club. I went to Parshall and I was like ‘Yo, Parshall, I’m gonna give you $5. I just need you to just stand there and don’t move.’ I paid real security dudes to be there cause that’s how it looked real.”
