Bizarre and Foul Mouth have recently sat down with Kid L where they talked about many things, including how Eminem’s “Antichrist” came about. The “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)” track features Bizarre on the outro, produced by Foul Mouth.
“I had a party [after appearing on Eminem’s “Antichrist” song]. I’m not even going to lie. I took a bunch of ecstasy and got toasted. It was incredible. I couldn’t have been any happier. Cause, you know Em’s process, you don’t hear the songs. We know its coming but we don’t even know what the s–t sounds like. So when it hit, to me, that was crazy. I got teared up.” said Foul Mouth.
“We didn’t know he was going to switch beats. We didn’t know that transition was going to happen like that. So he [Foul Mouth] knew the song was Antichrist. So at the end, it was fading out so he thought he didn’t make it [laughs].” said Bizarre.
Foul Mouth continued: “Cause ‘dance with the devil’ was originally on another track. Its actually half of the hook for the original song that we did. So that part when shows up on the other beat, it takes like 7 to 10 seconds and I literally stood up and I was like ‘I didn’t make it! They just did business with me.’ That part, ‘dance with the devil’ was on that track, he [Eminem] just sped it up. That’s genius! That’s producing when you are not making the beats. That’s incredibly well put together. I would have never thought he was gonna start that part of the track over that part. It was mindboggling because it was whole different tempo. But it took a minute man. I was pretty scared. That 7 to 10 seconds felt like 5 years. I didn’t think my track was going to kick in and my heart sank and I was like ‘I’m out’. I had a lot of thoughts by then. I was like ‘my friends are going to call me and be like, hey, we listened I didn’t hear you.’ I was already thinking all those things in like 7 seconds. And then the beat kicked in and it was a dream come true. That’s top 3 hip-hop artists of all time. You can’t beat those moments.”
