The Eminem Show hits 5 billion streams on Spotify

Eminem’s fourth solo studio album, The Eminem Show, has just surpassed 5 billion streams on Spotify becoming the only album from 2000s to hit this milestone.

According to Eminem Data on twitter, The Eminem Show is the most streamed album in Eminem‘s catalog. It is also the 54th most streamed album on the streaming platform and averages almost 5 million streams daily. Most streamed songs from the album are “Till I Collapse,” featuring Nate Dogg and “Without Me,” each with more than 1.5 billion streams.

Other most streams songs include “Superman” with 491 million streams, “Sing For The Moment” with 360 million and “Cleanin’ Out My Closet” with 310 million.

Eminem released The Eminem Show back in 2002 and debuted at  No. 1 on US Billboard 200 charts. It sold over 1.3 million copies in its second week in the United States and more than 25 million copies worldwide to date. It earned Eminem numerous awards including multiple Grammy awards and received the acclaim from critics. It is one of the two Eminem albums that is certified diamond by RIAA, after The Marshall Mathers LP.

Eminem said during an interview with MTV that he felt that Eminem Show was his “best record so far.”

Pete Davidson reveals how he was listening “The Eminem Show” without his mom noticing it

For the second season’s first episode of Hart to Heart, Kevin Hart sat down with Pete Davidson where the two discussed mental health, his future with a possible wife and kids, and his favorite ways to unwind.

At one point of the interview, Pete revealed how he was hiding from his mom when he was listening to Eminem’s “The Eminem Show” album when he was young.

“I have a secret for my mom,” Pete Davidson says. “The first record I have ever bought was ‘The Eminem Show.’ I was like 9 years old and it was sick record. Lots of cursing. Loved it!”

“But my mom was like ‘you are too  young for this, when you are twelve we might talk about it’. My mom loved Rod Stewart so what I did was, I made a print of a disk with Rod Stewart cover and I pasted it on top of the The Eminem Show so when my mom was like ‘what you listing to’ it was Ro Stewart but I never heard Rod Stewart song.” Davidson said.

Eminem drops “The Eminem Show [Expanded Edition]” with 4 unreleased songs

For its 20 years anniversary, Eminem has just released the expanded edition of his classic 2002 album, The Eminem Show.

Expanded Edition includes never before heard song, titled “Jimmy, Brian and Mike” which was recorded for The Marshall Mathers LP, “Bump Heads,” featuring G-Unit members 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, and Lloyd Banks, which is a diss song towards Ja Rule, “Stimulate” which was scrapped from the album and was replaced by “Say Goodbye To Hollywood” and “The Conspiracy Freestyle” from DJ Green Lantern’s album.

The album also features live versions of the songs “Brain Damage,” “Freestyle #1,” “The Way I Am,” “The Real Slim Shady,” “Just Don’t Give A Fuck,” and instrumentals of “Business,” “Square Dance,” “Without Me,” “Sing For The Moment,” “Superman,” “Say What You Say,” and “‘Till I Collapse.”

Eminem announces “The Eminem Show (Expanded Edition)” for 20 years anniversary

After teasing new collaboration with CeeLo Green, produced by Dr. Dre, for the “Elvis” movie, Eminem is dropping the expanded edition of his 2002 album, The Eminem Show, dropping tomorrow (May 26, 2022).

The Detroit legend shared the update on his social media accounts with the caption: “Well, if you want Shady, this is what I’ll give ya” The Eminem Show 20th Anniversary Expanded Edition drops Thursday 5/26.”

In the video, animated Eminem is sitting in front of the screens where the singles of the album are being played: “Without Me,” “White America,” “Sing For The Moment,” “Superman,” and “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.”

It is yet unknown what exactly will be included in expanded edition but we can expect instrumentals, some demo versions of the original songs or maybe never-before-heard song from 2002.

Widely considered the most anticipated album of 2002, The Eminem Show debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 and stood there for 6 non-consecutive weeks. It sold over 1.3 million copies in its second week in the US, where it registered a full week of sales.

The Eminem Show was both the best-selling album of 2002 in the United States and the best-selling album worldwide of 2002. In 2022, it was certified 12 times platinum by the RIAA and hold the diamond certification for selling 12,000,000 copies in the country. Its worldwide sales of 27 million copies make it one of the best-selling albums of all time and the second best-selling album of the 21st century.

At the 2003 Grammy Awards, it was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best Rap Album, while “Without Me” won Best Music Video. It’s non-single track “Till I Collapse” also remains the most streamed workout song on Spotify with almost 1.4 billion streams.

The Eminem Show reaches highest rank on Billboard in last 5 years as it closes in to another milestone

Eminem’s fourth solo studio album, The Eminem Show, released in 2002, has re-entered on US Billboard 200 charts at No. 73 this week, making it the highest position the album has reached in the last five years (since 2017).

The Eminem Show is Eminem’s one of two diamond selling albums and is now three weeks away to complete 400 weeks on the charts.

Charlie Puth credits Eminem’s album as his biggest musical influence

Singer, songwriter and producer Charlie Puth earned his worldwide success when he co-wrote, co-produced, and performed “See You Again” with Wiz Khalifa for the Furious 7 soundtrack as a tribute to Paul Walker. It peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 for 12 non-consecutive weeks.
