British Columbia rapper Merkules has released a new single “Bodies,” featuring Slaughterhouse’s Kxng Crooked and D12’s Swifty McVay, produced by C Lance and mixed by Nato.
In the the description on his YouTube channel, Merkules wrote: “I grew up listening to D12 and Slaughterhouse so having both these legends on the same track from ‘Merk Mondays’ is a huge blessing.”
KXNG Crooked has recently sat down with Math Hoffa’s latest episode of ‘My Expert Opinion’ series where the Death Row legend remembered the times when he was asked to diss Eminem and Dr. Dre:
“We just talked about me being on Death Row Records and to slide over there and to be able to… Being myself. I always tell artists to do this. It’s a life jewel, really, but for artists, in particular, be yourself. I was on the radio, live with Ja Rule, Irv Gotti, and Ja played that joint “Loose Change” that he had dissing Eminem where he said uh some real crazy stuff about Em’s daughter and all that. He premiered it on the radio, and you know, it was lit, he was at it. And the host was like, ‘Yeah, so Crooked, you’re up next. You’re about to send some shots to Dre and Em, you got something for them?’ And I was like, ‘Nah, that’s not my beef. I just got over here, you know. I’m trying to make great music. I’m trying to bring that back to the W. That’s my focus, Yo, Dre is the greatest producer ever. Sounds like Em got bars and all that’. The gist of what I was saying was I don’t believe that Suge brought me to Death Row to be a wind-up doll, go after people, and to be a paper soldier. I believe that it was something deeper than that, and I don’t have any problem with these guys. I don’t even know what this whole shit is about, I just got here. What I’m gonna do, just jump in?”
“And little did I know… I was at record store Fat Beats. I was about to do this mixtape called Young Boss vol. 1, and half of the beats was going to be Chronic 2001 beats, and the other half was going to be DJ Premier beats. So I went to Fat Beats, got The Chronic 2001 instrumental vinyl, and my phone rang. That was Dre. I was off Death Row at the time, and he was like, ‘Yo, I heard you that night when you was on the radio. Me and Em was listening’, or some to that effect. And he was like, ‘Yo, you never took a shot. Every time they try to get you to shoot at me, you never did’. And he said, ‘I respect the f**k out of that. So, you know, you want to get down, holla at me’.”
“I truly believe that that night is one of the reasons why I was able to have a Death Row past and still be able to go over there to Shady and have a future, and it’s all good. It would have been easy for me to say, ‘Hell yeah, f**k them ni**as, let’s go’. That was easy. But I was like, ‘Nah, I’m not gonna do that’. And that’s just what was on my heart.”
Rick Ross has recently visited DJ Khaled for an exclusive interview where the Clarksdale, Mississippi born rapper revealed Dr. Dre is working on his solo project and they have done couple of songs together.
“To be honest, me and Dr. Dre, we both working. And record are being done. He’s working on his project, which is incredible. I had him critique my new project. I’ve never heard a ni**a so meticulous with those ad-libs and that’s what you gotta love about Dre.”
Also, DJ Slik has recently played new Dr. Dre and Knxg Crooked song on his Instagram. In the song, Dr. Dre raps about divorce and aneurysm and reportedly it also features Eminem. You can watch the interview and listen to the snippet of the new song below:
Kxng Crooked, who was recently featured on Eminem’s “I Will” track with Joel Ortiz and Royce 5’9″ from Music To Be Murdered By album, has hit the social media to thank Eminem for letting him be involved in the album.
“I would like to thank my guy Marshall for involving me in this great project,” says Crooked “I appreciate his willingness to work with me and the COB movement. This a gold plaque but Music To Be Murdered By is platinum plus now, so I will definitely be posting the new plaque as well. SHADY, COB.”

Few hours ago, Eminem retweeted a post from Shady Records, promoting Kxng Crooked’s Family Bvsiness track “Skip This Ad,” which is produced by Eminem. The new black and white visuals are directed by Eric “Ptah” Herbert.
In terms of Kxng Crooked and Eminem, it was a no-brainer to link up for “Skip This Ad” as they have done multiple times in the past. Last Spring, Eminem said that Crooked is one of the most underrated emcees of all time. Upon hearing about the ultimate shout out, Kxng told HHDX: “That means a lot coming from a Jedi man. I am grateful for his willingness to speak positive things about me in public because he does not have to. I guess sometimes it takes a master to recognize another one. Thanks for showing me because I know to thank him now.”
Through their lyrics, Julius, Demetrius and Kxng Crooked have all shouted out Eminem on a song.
I can get you, but I’ma hit you on a instrumental Presented by Em, ho (Yep), and I’m Imhotep – Demetrius
Call it trap music (Aye, you can’t escape it) All I need is a Eminem beat My pen and my sheet, my ni**a, that’s the minute I beast –Julius
Give it a magic, a Johnson, that’s MJ Hit her box in my Jordans, that’s MJ Moonwalkin’ in the pu**y, that’s MJ She in love with a renegade, that’s Em, Jay – Kxng Crooked
Kxng Crooked has recently commented on Eminem and Snoop Dogg situation. You can check out the video below!
“For everybody who thinks this s**t just gonna be two rappers going back and forth with few records, you are very wrong. This has the potential to be the most polarizing beef in hip-hop history. And for whatever reason, this will not be good for the culture.”
“This is going deeper than ‘who has the best song.’ They gonna make this racial thing. That’s what going to happen. That conversations will be bigger than actual music and diss records. Trust me on that. They gonna make it a racial thing. And it’s gonna widen the dividing the culture. That gap will be like Grand Canyon when they done with this s**t.”
HotNewHipHop launches The Twelve Days of Christmas. For the next twelve days as we lead up to Christmas, they will be dropping a new interview with a different figure in the hip-hop and pop culture. They kick it off on Day #12 with KXNG Crooked. Check out the interview below:
There really have been a lot of great verses this year. Who would you say, in this hypothetical verse of the year battle, who would you predict to be your biggest competition?
Something from Royce, something from Eminem. You know, they call us the holy trinity of lyricism, me, Royce, and Em. They put the church emoji when they talk about it. So definitely something from Royce, something from Em. I think Benny got it in this year. I think Black Thought got it in this year. That verse Black Thought did, well, any verse Black Thought did. The verse Black Thought did on Russ’ project, that’s a stellar verse. Benny too. So you got a lot of dudes out there who drop some killer verses.
Eminem is always in the talks. I don’t care, they love to hate him. And a lot of people have been trying to push my homie out of the culture. They been making sly remarks – people with platforms. And this ain’t just me speaking from a homeboy level, this me speaking from a fan and a technician myself. You can’t push Marshall out the game. He’s one of the greatest pens to ever exist in Hip-Hop, and it ain’t gon change no time soon. They always get me when I talk about Em. But Eminem is one for sure. Royce got nominated for a Grammy, so you know his pen was going crazy.
Obviously, I liked the Abraham Lincoln scheme. “I Will” has a lot of great things, but from Music To Be Murdered By? Verse of the Year level, I don’t know. In terms of Em’s what verse I would nominate…Verse 2 on “Marsh” was pretty good.
Yeah, that one’s dope.

Kxng Crooked has recently set down with Premier Live TV to talk about Dr. Dre, Slaughterhouse, Joe Budden, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Death Raw Records and more. You can check out the interview below:
On why YouTube removed his interviews, including an interview with Eminem.
“Shout out to Marshall Mathers. When you doing an interview and if you flash to some music or video that you don’t own the copyright to, sometimes you can play it for like 10 seconds. We played a clip for like 11 seconds and they called Google and they were like ‘we want this video out of here!’ and they yank my whole channel up. But it’s cool. People still can go to Crook’s Corner YouTube channel for all the different interviews that I’ve been doing. When you are with Marshall, you are here big fish. You attracted too much attention, you can’t do that with Marshall Mathers.”
On Eminem naming him in the list of Top 10 greatest rappers of all time.
“To have somebody like Marshall Mathers, Eminem, who recognizes you and says you are the most underrated artist in the world and you are my top 10 greatest rappers of all time. It means a lot. Because he’s technician. Not saying it wouldn’t mean as much from someone else but I think it means a little more coming from somebody who understands how to write, who understands how to deliver, who understands breath control, who understands live performance, who understands metaphors, punchlines, similes, storytelling. So when you got somebody on that level who gets it and says you are my top 10, it means a lot.”
On Joe Budden and Eminem situation.
“This is what I always tell Joe. You have a huge voice in the game. So if you say something, that s**t’s gonna resonate. If he says something I disagree with, as far as how s**t went down on Shady Records, you say ‘it happened like this’ and I say ‘naah, id didn’t quite happen like that.’ He just gotta be careful. His voice is big. And one day, I’m hoping him and Em will be able to sit down. They don’t gotta be friends again, they don’t gotta do none of that. Just be men and sit down. Because they cut from the same cloth. They are really deep artists. They love their craft. If you listen to Eminem Stan and Joe fan it’s lot of similarities. They are two good dudes trying to do right things. All that happened for no reason. I really wish they sit down. It might happen. But anyways I think Joe will get back to the booth.”
Kxng Crooked also talks about Slaughterhouse, Dr. Dre, Death Raw Records and more. You can watch the interview below:
Few days ago, The Recording Academy announced the nominations for 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. Royce Da 5’9″ received Best Rap Album nomination for The Allegory album while Eminem’s Music To Be Murdered By was nowhere to be found.
It seems Slaughterhouse’s Kxng Crooked was expecting Eminem to receive Grammy nod for “No Regrets,” featuring Don Toliver and produced by D.A Got That Dope and Eminem himself.

Never been intimidated in there. But being around Slaughter and Em was definitely inspiring. https://t.co/UrfrlHGjut
Q12: Who made you wanna rap? Who were you listening to coming up in NY. I’d like to dig in the crates of older music that helped mold the artists I like to listen to. Ortiz: Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Jay Z, Notorious B.I.G, Nas, The Lox and more!
