Page Kennedy & Knxg Crooked defend Eminem after Ebro says Em doesn’t fit for Verzuz

Hip-Hop journalist @LowKeyUHTN has recently tweeted the following about Eminem’s in Verzuz battle: “Clearly these conversations are all subjective, but none of you all gonna convince me Hov is getting smoked by Kanye. OR that Eminem and Hov would be something to watch. Like, please stop. I personally don’t want to see Em do a Verzuz. However, that’s just me.”

On which, a famous hip-hop media personality, Ebro Darden replied: “Nope. I don’t think his music fits the scenario”

Page Kennedy and Kxng Crooked were quick to defend Em, as Page tweeted: “Yeah he only the greatest rapper and most successful selling artist in human existence. I’m pretty sure NO ONE wants to see that skill of hip hop display. No one would get excited about that energy, breath control, and stage presence in a VS. He probably doesn’t even get views.” While Crooked said: “If he ever decides to do it I hope he calls me to help with song choices because we’re going to come out of the gate smacking the f**k out of somebody.”

Paul Rosenberg promises to update Eminem RIAA certificates soon

It’s been years since Eminem’s RIAA certifications for Gold, Platinum and Diamond plaques have not been updated.

Frustrated fan said on Twitter: “It pisses me off seeing all these artists with updated RIAA certifications when Eminem still hasn’t claimed his platinum plaque for MTBMB”

On which, she received a reply from Kxng Crooked: “I need my plaque as soon as possible man I came off the bench in the second quarter and knocked down a three at the buzzer to tie it up.”

Paul Rosenberg gets himself involved into the discussion, saying: “We just did not make them yet guys… we shall. And Crook, you know we appreciate you!”

Kxng Crooked shares his thoughts on Nas, Eminem & EPMD’s “EPMD 2”

Kxng Crooked has recently shared his thoughts on Nas, Eminem and EPMD’s news song “EPMD 2.” Here is what the Slaughterhouse emcee has to say:

“About Em… A lot of people were like ‘why he had to go so hard’. His fans tweet me all the time and they say ‘if he does not do that, then they say oh he didn’t kill it this time he should have killed it or he laid back or he took his foot off the gas pedal’ and I feel like those people need to be more open-minded and be educated on different ways that you can kill a beat.

“If they think that the only way to kill the beat is aggressively attacking it and butcher knife it to death, just those people who feel like that, be a little more open-minded because there are lots of slow flows that have killed beats over time. We talk about Rakim, BIG, King Tee, Ice Cube, Scarface. They have all killed beats with slow flows.”

Knxg Crooked responds Royce’s complaints about not getting involved in Lupe Fiasco beef

In a recent Live session on Instagram, Royce  Da 5’9″expressed his disappointment with some of his fellow Slaughterhouse lyrical-spitters for not getting involved in the beef with Lupe Fiasco: “Speaking of Crook and Joell, what are they up to? Watching me get jumped on? You know what I would be doing right now if somebody pulled this on one of my loved ones? I would have been rapped. I am disappointed in Crooked, I am disappointed in Joell. It is not about them wondering if I can handle myself in rapping. It is the fact that you are looking at me, and you are looking at two other individuals gang up on me on some lyrical s**t, and you just sitting there watching.

Kxng Crooked responded Royce in an interview with PsaHipHOP: “When Royce joke around like ‘Why Crook and Joell did not come jump in?! You are Royce the f**king five-nine! We already know you could go in there in five f**king minutes, and you could tear this s**t down. If you ever need us, we are always in your corner, that is one hundred. Right now the bigger picture is this: he has got a mental health initiative he is working on, he is doing s**t with the Detroit Pistons, they got Detroit day coming up soon with Marshall and Trick Trick, and all these people trying to create real change for their neighborhood, for the city. You are doing all this positive s**t on the one hand, and on the other hand, you are out here talking about tying ni**as moms up on this record. Not saying that is what he said, but to me, the bigger picture of that is ‘do you really want to be in that frequency over there? And that vibration? This is me and what I like to see my brother doing: I prefer to see my brother over there doing his mental health initiatives, helping the community, trying to change Detroit for the better. That is what I would rather see my brother doing.

Crooked continues: “I know a lot of people online want to see the back and forth, and that’s cool too. So half of me, ‘I am with you’, it is on that level too because I know what he can do. He is a killer. And the other half of me is like… more positive works for me these days. Because I am older. We could take that energy all the way to the Slaughterhouse reunion.

Knxg Crooked teases a song with Eminem

Legendary west-coast rapper, Kxng Crooked, who has recently been talking about retirement but keeps dropping new music for fans, has teased a song with Eminem via Twitter.

One of the fans asked the Slaughterhouse emcee if he’s going to collaborate with Eminem again, on which Crooked replied with “zipped mouth” emoji.

Crooked has previously promised that Good VS Evil 3 would be his last and most banging album from his catalog so Eminem collaboration looks IMMINENT.

The twos most recent effort includes “I Will,” track from Eminem’s Music To Be Murdered By album, which also features Royce da 5’9″ and Joell Ortiz.

When Eminem heard Fat Joe was retiring, he called South Bronx-rapper and asked for the collaboration immediately and we got “Lord Above,” one of the best Eminem verses in recent years. We doubt Em would let Crooked retire without the two giving us a lyrical miracle.

Fan: King, which album do you like more, The Eminem Show or Relapse?

Crooked: The Eminem Show, easy call.

Fan: Music To Be Murdered By Side A or Music To Be Murdered By Side B?

Crooked: You are asking someone who is on Side A. I am not in a non-biased opinion today.

Crooked: Book Of Ryan all day.

Kxng Crooked: “If you are real lyricist, you understand Eminem is phenomenal”

On the Season 4 premiere of Bridging The Generations Podcast, Kxng Crooked talked about Slaughterhouse, Dr. Dre, Eminem legacy and industry politics. At one point, the interviewer asked the legendary west coast rapper why lots of hip-hop fans take prop from Eminem. Here is what Crooked replied:

“I think there was a narrative that flew around a couple of years ago, saying Eminem was not part of the culture and he being a fan of the culture because of white privilege. Basically all these type of things and it became a trend to downplay his status in hip-hop. But he’s a student of the game. He got more hip-hop knowledge than average motherf**ker walking around the streets. He’s a motherf**king lyrical genius. He put the words together in the robotic form. He knows how to do this s**t because he studied the f**k out of this s**t.”

“If you are real lyricist, you’d understand what this man is doing. Let’s take away the sales, let’s take away everything and just listen to what he’s doing in the booth. And if you are real lyricist, you understand he’s phenomenal. Em had the presence of mind and the love for the culture to try to make sure the group like Slaughterhouse was introduced to the mainstream like ‘this are the type of motherf**kers that need to be occupying the space in mainstream rap.’ There are lots of motherf**kers that would never sign Slaughterhouse…To this day, Eminem f**ks with Slaughterhouse cause he’s a real hip-hop head.”

Then Crooked continues talking about how Slaughterhouse come together and what part Eminem took in the movement. You can watch the interview below:
