Dem Jointz talks about working process with Eminem for “MTBMB”

In a new interview with HotNewHipHop, Aftermath producer Dem Jointz opens up about working with Dr. Dre and the working process with Eminem on his latest album, “Music To Be Murdered By”

Interviewer: Before we wrap, I see your name in the credits for Eminem’s latest album. I was curious about what those sessions were like? What was your approach to working with Eminem?

Dem Jointz: It was super dope. We were collaborating in the studio and Eminem came down to LA to be creative with us. They shut it down to where he had his studio in the back and we were working up front. It was super dope because he would hear us bumping something and he would come up behind us like “What was that? Play it again.” He’ll be in his head and then be like “Can you send me that?” and then go back to the room. It’s crazy that he can create something that can make someone double-take like that. It was dope. It was like when we did “Medicine Man” you hear Eminem on your track and it’s like WOW this is crazy! Let me try making this the best thing ever.

Ice-T shares his reaction after hearing Eminem for the first time

Ice-T has recently sat down with ‘SILICON BEACH with Jon V‘ podcast for a new interview where the legendary rapper revealed his reaction to hearing Eminem for the first time.

It is very very hard to get my attention as far as music. I am very into unique stuff and unfortunately most people are just replicating repeating something they heard. It is nothing new, I want to get my mind blown. I remember when I first heard Eminem, somebody gave to me a tape. And I am like ‘This crazy white boy is singing about putting his girl in a trunk, what the f**k is this.’ And the fact that he could really rap and that he was a white kid, that was dope.

Now there are a lot of white kids rapping so now it is like okay well you kind of sound like Eminem, yeah but he was like one of the early ones. Eminem’s style was different and it was unique and he turned out to be a star. So if you want to be original, look and see what everyone else is doing and do not do that. But that is difficult for people. You have to have the courage to be yourself but real people only respect real people.” said Ice T

Tom MacDonald talks Eminem inspiration: “I wouldn’t be here without him”

Tom MacDonald, who has recently namedropped Eminem on a track “Fake Woke,” did an interview on Before They Were Famous where he talked about Slim Shady influence and how much toxic can Twitter and Eminem fans can sometimes get:

I think that Eminem is such a prolific character in hip-hop, and rightfully so, but his fanbase is just so blinded by fandom. I’ve owned every album Eminem put out with the exception whatever he put out last few years. When I was a kid he was my go-to. I was so much inspired that I would not be here right now without Eminem. But just because Eminem inspired me and he’s the greatest of all time, does not make him immune to criticism. That’s how his fans feel. So just mentioning his name in the song it started a whirlwind of s**ts.” said Tom.
