Alaina says Eminem walked her down the aisle at her wedding

Alaina Scott, Eminem’s eldest daughter, wed her longtime lover Matt Moeller on June 9, 2023 in a “Great Gatsby glam” themed event and Eminem played a particular role in the wedding.

“I had an 80-ft long black and white checkered aisle and my dad walked me down the aisle. He wasn’t going to miss that.” Alaina told the People magazine in an exclusive interview.

Then she continued: “Getting married is a sacred thing and we wanted to be surrounded by people who share in our daily lives. We did something super untraditional and didn’t allow many plus ones. This was important to us.”

“These are once-in-a-lifetime moments and I’m just so grateful to be loved the way I am by everyone. None of this would have been possible without my Dad. I’m beyond blessed.” she added.

At the reception, Eminem’s brother Nathan “Nate Kane” Mathers performed his song called “Slide on Over” which was “really fun,” according to Alaina.

The newly minted Mrs. Moeller shared photos from her big day on Instagram, including romantic and goofy shots of the couple, as well as an image of the whole bridal party. Among the bridesmaids was Alaina’s sister, Hailie Jade, laughing happily and wearing a black gown while holding a stunning bouquet of red, pink and peach flowers besides his husband Evan McClintock.

“June 9, 2023 simply one of the best days of my life in this lifetime and in the next, my soul will always find your,” Alaina captioned the post.

Alaina wore an embellished, mermaid-style gown for her big day with a crystal tiara and a ballet length veil. She showed off her gorgeous transition from Ms. to Mrs. in a cute video.

Eminem adopted Alaina who was born to the twin sister of Eminem’s wife, Kim, who reportedly struggled with drug use and died back in 2016. “I have full custody of my niece. My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born. Me and Kim pretty much had her, she’d live with us wherever we was at.” – Eminem told to Rolling Stone in 2016.

In the song “Mockigbird” Eminem refers Alaina Scott as Lainey: “Lainey, uncle’s crazy ain’t he? Yeah, but he loves you, girl and you better know it / We’re all we got in this world.”

Wicked says Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre are bigger than Jay-Z & Kanye West

Wicked from the Ghetto Mafia has recently sat down on BHIGHT TV’s The Forward Culture where he named Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre as the best ever duo in hip-hop.

“The best group I feel of all time, duo, it’s Snoop and Dre. They technically were not the group that’s why people would not agree because technically this is not a rap group but two guys together there is no greater group.” said Wicked.

Then he continued: “Snoop Dogg should be the logo of rap. Snoop Dogg and Dre is brand. Right now, if we put out brand new Outkast album and Dre and Snoop do a full album together which they have never done. We got to hear what Dre and Snoop talking about! Snoop and Dre over Kanye West and Jay-Z. Snoop and Dre are GOATS! Dr. Dre is a goddamn beast! He been around with so many great rappers: The Snoops, the Ems, 50s and whole N.W.A.”

“Ye and Jay had some hits but if you dropped a full album with Dre and Snoop and Ye and Jay-Z and if we drop them on the same day with same budgets we pretty much know who gonna win that race. You think Kanye is a better producer than Dre? And Jay will bring more charisma to the records than Snoop? That’s what you telling me?! You think Ye is a better producer than Dr. Dre who produced for 50 Cent, Eminem, N.W.A. and the list goes on and on and on.” Wicked added.

In the same interview, Wicked declared Eminem as the best match-up for Lil Wayne in a Verzuz battle: “If we are talking one on one, my catalog against yours, Eminem can go toe to toe with Lil Wayne. Jay Z can go toe to toe with him. LL Cool J is another guy. LL can go against anybody. Rock The Bell album alone, every song on that album, it’s 15! Nas, you know Snoop can go at anybody. His own partner Drake too. I said Em. We can throw Kanye up there. If we are talking about just lyricists, I have no argument with Lil Wayne. I know some people might be upset when I say but Eminem! Em’s a bad motherf–ker. We can’t hate. You know, some people are like ‘I can’t put him in there’ but that’s bulls–t.”

King T reveals Dr. Dre’s first ever record label name before “Aftermath”

Despite almost having a different name, Dr. Dre‘s Aftermath Records is now a well-known brand because of the legendary producer’s solo success after his time with N.W.A. but according to King T, the label had different name at first.

In a recent interview with the Murder Master Music Show, veteran Compton emcee who goes by the name of King T recalled his brief time on the label as their first-ever act and revealed it had a whole different name then.

“I’m like one of the first artists he wanted to sign. We just ended up in the studio up at Record One, they just put on a beat and I just knocked it out. It was so easy and I was just happy to be there. The rhymes just came, Str-8 Gone was one of the best songs I’ve done in my career. I was just happy to be working with Dr. Dre.” said King T

Then he continued: “They didn’t even have the name of the label Aftermath when I did that song, they was calling it something else. I was there before the name Aftermath even came about. I think it was something like Black Market or something, I can’t remember.”

“You know what it was something like Black Market, but somebody else had it, they were trying to sell it to Dre for some buku money. They ended up putting the ‘Str-8 Gone’ song on the first compilation they ended up putting out on Aftermath, but it was a great song.” – King T added.

50 Cent responds Nick Cannon’s body-shaming comments

Nick Cannon made body-shaming comments about 50 Cent while discussing Vivica Fox during the latest episode of his “The Daily Cannon” podcast show.

“You can like, fantasize about Fif from 15 years ago. That’s a different Fif than this fat ni**a that’s walking around now. He is fat! He look like he got a pack of hot dogs on the back of his neck. You looking at them pictures from ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’,’ now it’s get thick or die fryin’.” said Nick Cannon.

50 Cent does not appear to have taking kindly Canon’s insults as he took to Instagram on Monday to hit back without even mentioning Nick’s name: “If your marketing campaign is say something about 50. Your not going to make it, have a nice day.” Fifty wrote in the caption while sharing a black picture with “It’s never luck. It’s always God” written over it.

This is not the first time 50 Cent and Nick Cannon have exchanged words. During an interview with VLAD TV back in 2020, Cannon revealed that his song “Used To Look Up To You” was about 50 Cent rather than Eminem. Appearing on the Breakfast Club few days later 50 called Nick Cannon a “legendary corny” and stated that he would never respond to him.

Wicked says Eminem can go against Lil Wayne on Verzuz battle

Wicked from the Ghetto Mafia has recently sat down with B High Atl where he listed rappers who go against Lil Wayne in a Verzuz battle and included Eminem as the main candidate.

“If we are talking one on one, my catalog against yours, Eminem can go toe to toe with Lil Wayne. Jay can go toe to toe with him. LL is another guy. LL can go against anybody. Rock The Bell album alone, every song on that album, it’s 15! Nas, you know Snoop can go at anybody. His own partner Drake too. I said Em. We can throw Kanye up there.” said Wicked

Then he continues: “If we are talking about just lyricists, I have no argument with Lil Wayne. I know some people might be upset when I say but Eminem! Em’s a bad motherf–ker. We can’t hate. You know, some people are like ‘I can’t put him in there’ but that’s bulls–t.”

“After Dre and Snoop for a moment, I don’t know their personal business, but it was a little moment that they would not f–king with each other and that’s when he came in with Em and 50 Cent. And when he came with Em like ‘Nowadays everybody wanna talk like they got something to say’ Snoop was like ‘hold on now. Snoop had to do like that for a minute and he was like ‘maybe I should talk to Dre and square this away’ so like I said, I would put Em up there, like Nas and Jay but Lil Wayne does not have to apologize for saying that. This man held down this industry for 30 plus years.” Wicked added.

Today in 2000, Eminem’s “The Marshall Mathers LP” debuted at #1 on Billboard with record-breaking sales

23 years ago today (June 11, 2000), Eminem’s “The Marshall Mathers LP” debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 charts with 1,760,000 sold in it’s first week and stayed atop for eight consecutive weeks. A significant commercial success compared to the release of “The Slim Shady LP” just the previous year, the album sold 1.78 million copies in its first week, which made it among the fastest-selling studio albums in the United States.

It spawned the hits like “The Real Slim Shady,” “The Way I Am” and “Stan,” featuring Dido, is certified diamond by RIAA and is the best selling rap album in Soundscan history.

“The Marshall Mathers LP” has been included in numerous all-time lists and is widely regarded as Eminem’s greatest album. It has sold 30 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time, and is certified 11x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best Rap Album at the 2001 Grammy Awards, while “The Real Slim Shady” won Best Rap Solo Performance.

According to Billboard, as of 2022, “The Marshall Mathers LP” is one of the 15 best-performing 21st-century albums without any of its singles being number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The first single, “The Real Slim Shady”, became Eminem’s biggest hit up to that point. It peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the UK Singles Chart.

“Stan”, the third single released from the album, became a number-one hit in both the United Kingdom and Australia. The song, which details around a crazed fan of the same name, has been highlighted as a work of poetry by critics, and soon gave rise to the Oxford English Dictionary term “stan.”

Big Daddy Kane reveals few things Eminem talks about in his upcoming Netflix documentary

In a recent interview with AllHipHop magazine, Big Daddy Kane provided an update on his forthcoming Netflix documentary, titled Paragraphs I Manifest, which boasts several high-profile interviews with everyone from Eminem and Jay-Z to J. Cole and Common.

“We’re in the editing stages right now. And hopefully, we’ll be finished within the next two months. That’s what I’m praying for, you know, because I really feel that it’s important to get this out as Hip-Hop is celebrating 50 years.” says Big Daddy Kane.

Then he continues: “The most rewarding part of this experience is hearing different artists’ perspectives. To sit with someone like Common, who I respect as a great lyricist and is someone with a unique flow other than the norm and representing a city other than New York, to hear his influences and his thought process, things of that nature. To hear Eminem talk about losing a rap battle. To hear him talking about what motivated him to write a song, who he listened to and studied, stuff like that.”

“The biggest thing I learned was something Eminem said, because I never really thought about it. When I am writing and I am doing what I do, I am just in my zone. I am listening to him talk, but as I am listening to him, I am trying to think who did it before me, and I actually could not come up with no one. I was just sitting there really blown away.”

“When we left, I actually went listening to different artists that had songs out before me to see if anyone else did that in their writing style, and I did not find no one. I am not saying that I am the first,  am just saying that so far I have not found anyone. It was crazy.” Big Daddy Kane added.

50 Cent reveals how much he was paid per “Power” episode

In a recent interview with Vulture magazine, 50 Cent revealed that when shopping to find a home for the original “Power” TV series, a lot of the heavy-hitter companies such as HBO, Hulu, Paramount, and Showtime were not interested in the project.

“We went to all these organizations in the early stages. They probably had something else they felt was similar, or it wasn’t what they was looking for. I’m sure now they wish they didn’t pass on it.” Fiddy explained.

What’s more, when STARZ decided to take a chance on the show, the network saw proof it had made the right decision when “Power” became its biggest show, accomplishing record-breaking feats. Yet, despite the show’s success, 50 Cent said that things would get tricky when the time rolled around to renegotiate his contract.

For him, the amount that he was receiving per show did not properly reflect the time, effort, and energy put into the series. In fact, 50 Cent says the lowball payment would not have flown in the music industry.

“There’s no one that could come and tell me to take $17,000 to act and executive produce and make music. I gave them the theme song for ‘Power.’ I gave them the things that connected, hopefully, in a different way for it. You see what I’m saying? All those things for $17,000 per episode? I get paid more to go to the nightclub and wave.” – 50 Cent

Eminem narrates “Be Like Mike” new campaign by Gatorade

Thanks to Gatorade, a week filled with journeys down memory lane comes to a satisfying conclusion. Eminem serves as emcee, and his 2010 track “Won’t Back Down,” featuring P!nk from Recovery album bubbles up, too. But the Detroit legend’s participation is just one nostalgic element of a :30 from the PepsiCo brand.

We’re also treated to way-back commercial footage of Michael Jordan — with the “Be Like Mike” jingle reverberating from more than 30 years ago to rock our brainpans.

Titled “The Way to Be Great,” and developed with TBWA\Chiat\Day L.A., the spot serves as a bridge between generations, a merging of past, present and future. Clips of sports legends in their prime segue into footage of contemporary athletes. Along with M.J., Serena Williams and Lionel Messi appear, plus Jayson Tatum, Elena Delle Donne, Sydney McLaughlin and more.

“We know our brand has everything athletes need to fuel Greatness. We have fueled the greatest athletes of all time over the last 60 years, and ‘The Way to Be Great’ is an anthemic campaign meant to bring to life what greatness has been, and what greatness looks like in the future.” – says Anuj Bhasin, chief brand officer at Gatorade.

In the Gatorade video, Eminem says: “You wanna be like greats? First, believe yo are. Greatness requires drip. Not like that, like this! The Greats are not afraid to fail. They fuel by it. Trophies require greatness but greatness does not require trophies because greatness is not about what you have done, it’s about what you do next!”
