Ed Sheeran details how Eminem’s cured his stutter, talks meeting him in studio

Ed Sheeran has recently sat down on The Howard Stern Show where je opened up about Eminem’s “The Marshall Mathers LP” and how it cured him from stuttering. He also talked about first time meeting Slim Shady in the studio and how him and Eminem relate to each other.

“When I was 9, I was going though all sorts of speech therapy and my uncle bought me The Marshall Mathers LP and he just said to my dad ‘this guy is the next Bob Dylan. You gotta let him listen.’ My dad didn’t really clock it, he was just like ‘okay’.” Ed Sheeran said.

Then he continues: “By learning that record and rapping it back to back to back it cured my stutter and I stopped ttttt-talking like that. Years later, I’ve made songs with Eminem and we have got to know each other quite well and he asked me to play Stan with him at Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.”

“I remember getting a call to do it and I was shooting 14 music videos back to back. I got the call like ‘do you want to go and do Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame with me?’ And it was my day off from shooting the music videos, so I was like ‘I can’t say no.’ So, I got to plane straight after the music video shoot, flew to do Rock Hall, and same night flew back and it was really worth it.”

“Eminem is quite reclusive. He does not see and met many people. The first time I met him, I was super nervous before I got invited to the studio in Detroit. And I was sitting there and be like ‘Is he gonna be standoffish’ and as soon as he walked in we just start talking about Marvel comics and stuff like that and I was like ‘okay we are cool.'”

“I’ve known him since 2017. Six years. We have done three songs together and I played with him twice on stage. He’s another person that I really relate to. He is also still live in his hometown. He has got his own ecosystem around him. All his people and family live there. So I kind of relate from that point of view. I think meeting people like him and talking to him on the level makes you feel less weird. I sometimes feel like a bit of a zoo animal or an alien to sort of whatever happens in my life there is always something that goes around and you speak to him and it’s kind of same thing.” Ed Sheeran added.

Katie Melua claims she knew all the lyrics off Eminem’s “The Marshall Mathers LP” album

Georgian singer Katie Melua has recently sat down with Rich Pelley from The Guardian magazine where she revealed that she knew all of the lyrics off Eminem’s 2000 classic album, The Marshall Mathers LP, from top to bottom.

The song I do at karaoke

Many karaoke songs are in male keys – as are Christmas carols – because they are sung by males. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen is one of the only male songs I can sing because Freddie was a vocal genius.

The song I inexplicably know every lyric to

I thought I knew all the lyrics to “Stan” by Eminem, but yesterday, I put it on, and they’ve gone away. I definitely knew all the lyrics to the Marshall Mathers LP when I was 15, but I haven’t retained them.

Kxng Crooked credits Eminem for being mainstream but still lyrical

West Coast’s finest Kxng Crooked has recently interacted with fans on Twitter and gave Eminem his flowers for being mainstream but still lyrical monster.

“I like mainstream rappers who are still a high level threat on the microphone.. Like when Kobe won rings and still pulled up to Rucker Park ready for whatever..” he tweeted couple of hours ago.

One of the fans replied: “One of the many reasons I love Eminem is his ability to hit the mainstream but also finds ways to be underground and reach a wide audience.”

On which, Crooked responded back: “You work your way up to a position where you have Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine and millions of dollars behind you.. It’s very easy to lose your fangs as an emcee in that scenario.. Marshall never lost his fangs.. He’s still a lyrical threat.”

Kxng Crooked and Slim Shady have previously joined forces on few occasions. Most recently the two jumped on a track “I Will” from Music To Be Murdered By album, which also features the rest of the Slaughterhouse emcees, Royce 5’9″ and Joell Ortiz, aside from Joe Budden for an obvious reason.

Fans react to Machine Gun Kelly dissing Jack Harlow on Eminem-produced beat

Machine Gun Kelly has recently took shots at Jack Harlow in a newly released freestyle.

On Saturday (May 6, 2023), the 33-year-old pop-punk star dropped a fiery two-and-a-half-minute freestyle, titled “Renegade Freestyle.” Set to the instrumental of Jay-Z and Eminem‘s 2001 collaboration “Renegade,” produced by Eminem himself. Machine Gun Kelly seemingly takes aim at Harlow who recently dropped his third album, called Jackman.

“I see why they call you Jackman/ You jacked man’s whole swag, give Drake his flow back, man,” Kelly raps at the 1:22 mark of the freestyle. “I eat rappers like Pac Man/ Must I regurgitate and show you who’s in my stomach from the last dance?”

MGK’s apparent diss arrives after Harlow’s boast that he’s the “hardest white boy since the one who rapped about vomit and sweaters (Eminem)” in the new Jackman album song titled “They Don’t Love It.”

The Cleveland singer also shared the freestyle video on his Instagram page with the caption: “never been afraid to say what’s on my mind at any given time of day,” referencing the original lyrics from the original song.

Nicki Minaj brags about having Eminem on her debut album

Nicki Minaj has recently interacted with the fans on Twitter and bragged about her achievements even before she stepped into the big music industry.

One of the fans shared Nicki’s photoshoot for her debut album Pink Friday with the caption: “Ok but no one has discussed the LEGENDARY! Pink Friday shoot. Even though its not a cover shoot.”

On which, she replied: “Imagine being a fashion icon before your debut album. Imagine performing with Kanye West and Jay-Z at Yankee Stadium, no album out, imagine Drake, Eminem, Rihanna, Ye, Wili.I.Am & Natasha Bedingfield on your FIRST ALBUM. bwahahaha I have to laugh. Blessings & gratitude to my supporters.”

Pink Friday album was released on November 22, 2010, by Young Money, Cash Money and Universal Motown. After signing a recording contract with Young Money Entertainment in 2009, Minaj began planning the album that same year and work continued into 2010. Minaj enlisted a variety of producers whose efforts resulted in a primarily hip hop and pop record, which sees additional influences from R&B. The album features guest vocals from Eminem, Rihanna, Drake, will.i.am, Kanye West and Natasha Bedingfield. The album debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200, selling 375,000 copies in its first week, marking the second highest sales debut for a female rapper since Lauryn Hill.

The album includes a song “Romans Revenge,” featuring Eminem produced by Swizz Beatz. Nicki raps this song as her “crazy alter ego,” Roman Zolanski, and responds to provocations from a certain queen bee. She is joined by another rapper who knows a thing or two about alter egos, Mr. Slim Shady himself.

Machine Gun Kelly releases freestyle over Jay-Z & Eminem’s “Renegade”

After beefing with Eminem and changing the genre, it looks like Machine Gun Kelly is coming back to hip-hop. Few days ago, the Cleveland rapper dropped “Doja” freestyle with Cordae and now he’s back rapping over one of the most iconic songs in hip-hop history: Jay-Z and Eminem’s “Renegade.”

“Renegade” is a song from Jay-Z’s The Blueprint album, featured and produced by Eminem. Itserves as a “f–k you” to critics who said JAY-Z had forgotten his ghetto roots with his new found riches, and moralizers who said Eminem was a bad influence on children.

This was considered a major coup for Eminem, who had released The Marshall Mathers LP a year earlier to widespread controversy. Not only was Slim Shady the only guest rapper on the whole album, but he produced the beat (to which a song with Royce Da 5’9″ had already been recorded.)

The widespread perception, popularized by Nas, was that Eminem killed Jay, but that’s debatable, Em spits very in-your-face, overt punchlines, while Jay drops metaphors, multiple entendre gems that can only be appreciated by taking a closer look. However, Jay admitted in an interview that Em’s verse was better, he stated:

“No, I think Eminem is very intelligent rapper… It’s just, when you make 4000 songs.. I’m constant collaborator, you know and… some people gonna have better days. It’s just the way it is. But if we count the amount as the competitor and if we count the amount of records that I’ve been on versus people who had better performances then it’s gonna be 400 to 3.”

That’s a little background of the song… As far as MGK’s freestyle, you can check it below and tell us your thoughts under the comment sections of our social media accounts.

Eminem is featured on LL Cool J’s new album

It has been a decade since the iconic rapper LL Cool J dropped his last full-length project, titled “Authentic” back in 2013, and for the past few years, the Bay Shore, New York-born legend has been teasing the release of a new material.

Couple of months ago, LL vented his frustrations on Twitter, writing that his next project is not “worthy of being released.” As it turns out, it was a marketing trick. In the deleted tweets, Cool J said he was “really trying” to figure it out but he’s “not feeling like this album is worthy of being released.” He did leave one tweet up where he simply states he’s “not dropping it.” But later he posted a video on Instagram, explaining how he trick the hip-hop world: “Everybody’s been asking me about the new record and my decision. And, I was considering putting this record out because IT’S TOO F–KING GOOD! Q-Tip, you are genius baby. Yo, that’s my favorite album I ever made. I can’t wat for you all to hear this. Date and tracklist coming soon!”

Earlier this month, during an interview with E! News, LL spoke highly about his new album: “I know all the tricks. I got this covered. I think honestly and sincerely that Q-Tip as a producer is unbelievable and what he did on this record for me, I think is amazing. So the world will decide. The album, I think, is really, really special. I think it’s something it’s modern without chasing. It’s a whole new thing. I can’t wait for the people to see it.”

Eminem has named LL as his biggest influence numerous times. The two have recently performed at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony. LL and Slim Shady also have a song in vault that has never seen the light of the day. In 2014, LL spoke highly about the track: “Me and Em, we have a song, he just recently let me listen to his verse and it is just crazy, he is chainsaw and s**t. It is good! I think people will be pleasantly surprised when they hear me and him rapping together. It is the first time we did something together and shout out to Em and Rosenberg and to his whole crew, staff, everybody… This is a record that I think people gonna be excited… What I did with Em is super HOT!”

Yesterday, 93.5 KDay radio scheduled an interview on their official YouTube channel but it was not aired for some reasons. In the description of the video, we read:

“Legendary east coast hip-hop legend LL Cool J dropped by 93.5 KAY to promote his upcoming return to big arenas with the F.O.R.C.E. Live, celebrating 50 years of hip-hop with special guests across various cities. LL Cool J talked about the importance of humility, getting in shape for the upcoming tour and teased album features like Rick Ross, Nas, Fat Joe, Saweetie and Eminem. The hip-hop icon revealed talking young artists under his wing through Instagram DMs to pass the baton to newer generations and and keep the culture alive and gave his thoughts on new A.I. technology emerging in the music industry.”

Ice-T says he once gave Eminem an advice that he follows to this day

Every weekday the legendary hip-hop artist Ice-T breaks down an inspirational quote on his new Daily Game podcast. In the latest episode, the rap icon explains how being on top of your game and being humble are not mutually exclusive and mentions Eminem during the process.

“I’ve always said that in Rap we like to brag a lot. We like to say I’m this, I’m that. But in real life, all this compliments can’t come from you. The person that says I’m this I’m that is usually saying it cause nobody else is saying it. The greatest compliments are coming from people behind your back. When you are not in the room and they say ‘yo Ice is cool guy, Ice is that, Ice is this.’ What people say to your face is less important than what they say behind your back.” said Ice-T.

Then he continues: “I remember when I met Eminem. And I asked him what he wanted out of the game. And he said, all I wanna do is be around like you and Dre and my comment with him was ‘be a beast on the mic and be humble in real life’ and I think he followed that advice. Because, if you can rap like him, you don’t need to tell people you are great rapper. You show it and you prove it. So you could be dope and in real life you don’t have to be walking around telling people who you are, that’s corny. Let them say it!”

It looks like Eminem really followed Ice-T’s priceless advice cause every artist who ever worked with Slim Shady emphasize how humble nature the Detroit legend has.
