Kid Rock Speaks About His New Song With Eminem

Eminem and Kid Rock have joined forces on a new track designed to demonstrate how friends can maintain strong bonds despite conflicting political views.

On Thursday (October 1), Kid Rock posted the tracklisting on X for his forthcoming Christian Rock album, Halfway to Jesus. The release features a collaborative song with Eminem titled “7 Sins.”

In an excerpt from the album’s foreword obtained by Complex, Kid Rock explained the vision behind bringing Eminem onto the project. He said, “I’m proud of the guests who joined me, especially my old friend Eminem. His verse speaks to something we’ve talked about and that really needs to be heard: we differ politically and on other things, but we’ve stayed friends through it all. We hope that sets an example for people who’ve lost friends or stopped talking to family because they think differently.”

The duo’s friendship spans decades. They first teamed up on “F–k Off” for Kid Rock’s 1998 breakthrough album, Devil Without a Cause, and Kid Rock later made a cameo appearance in Eminem’s 2013 music video for “Berzerk.”

The new song is expected to be released alongside the album on October 17, 2026.
