He shared, “I stopped drinking and believe it or not, it was Dr. Dre and Eminem who came to the table and got me a place where I could be and get away from things. Dr. Dre and Eminem did it for me. Eminem came to the table and put this folks on me. His folks got me some place where I could get away from everything.”

Eminem, who has been open about his own recovery from addiction, personally connected Kurupt with the resources and professionals needed to take the step toward detoxing. “Eminem put me with his people who got me into a program and facility to get away from everything and I could cleanse,” Kurupt explained. “That’s crazy, cause it was Dr. Dre and Eminem.”
