DJ Whoo Kid says Michael Jackson still respected Eminem even after “Just Lose It” video

Michael Jackson’s son Prince Jackson has recently sat down with DJ Whoo Kid and Mike Tyson on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson and when the conversation got to Eminem, Whoo Kid recalled the phone call with Michael Jackson where they talked about Slim Shady.

“I actually put 50 Cent together with Michael Jackson when I was in Bahrain. He was shooting a movie in Morocco with some Army movie so I knew he was on that side of the world. I really got him upset. He was pissed off. I have Mike the phone and I said ‘yo, 50, I found your lost brother.’ He was like ‘the f–k you talking about ni–ga. I f–k you up man.'” said Whoo Kid.

Then he continued: “The fact that he messes with Eminem, cause, you know, Eminem did the videos mocking him and stuff like that, so I didn’t really wanted to let him know I work with Eminem cause I thought he was gonna kill me and stuff. But he really respected the fact that…That’s when Eminem retired, so the first thing he said ‘yo, what’s up with this retirement with Eminem? He really retired?’ I was like, ‘yah, he retired. He’s out.’ But he’s like, really respected him.”

Dr. Dre reveals two biggest collaborations he turned down

During a recent appearance on Kevin Hart’s Peacock show “Hart To Heart,” Dr. Dre revealed that some of the biggest and most gifted artists of all time Prince and Michael Jackson approached him for collaboration but refused to work with them both. Check out the conversation below.

Kevin Hart: Who did you have the opportunity to work with that you was like ‘Naw, I didn’t’ that you regret and that you should have worked with? But I don’t wanna throw you story off.

Dr. Dre: Nah, but yeah. That’s a good segway. Prince, Michael Jackson. [I bowed out from working with them] They just asked me to work with them and I was just like ‘What the f–k am I going to do with them?!’ That happened. What the f–k am I going to do in the studio with them? Those are my f–king heroes. Man, you know.

Elsewhere in the interview, Dr. Dre revealed why he calls Kendrick Lamar “Forever Artist” and Eminem being the only artist that he ever liked when he heard a demo tape.

Benzino says Michael Jackson thanked him for standing tall against Eminem

In the latest episode of The GAUDS Show, Ray Daniels and Tamira Smith at down with Benzino where they dive into Benzino’s journey in creating The Source magazine, and the controversies that came along with it.

He also opens up about his experiences as a father and reflects on the lessons he learned through his relationships with women, including his time on reality TV. Zino also recalled some history with Eminem.

“First of all, I didn’t listen to that [Eminem] type of rap. That just was not my type of rap. He can rap. Eminem is a talented, skillful rapper but that’s not my type. The beauty of hip-hop is that we have so many different types of artists and I can listen to what the f–k I want to listen to. Everyone has their own top ten lists. If Eminem is on your top, god bless you, I respect that.” said Benzino.

Then he continues: “Let me tell you something. I was in Miami and Michael Jackson called me and thanked me, because when Eminem dissed him with fire situation in the video, I sat there and I listened to him. He thanked me and then he started talking about Tommy Mottola. That was one of the greatest moments in my life. Mike was not saying all white people are bad, we are not saying that. Not all of them are devils. Michael was referring to the situation in the music industry. He actually thanked me, because I kinda upheld, stood tall against him.”

“It was not a rap beef against Eminem. I wasn’t a decent rapper. I had decent songs but I was doing whole bunch of other things. I was a pretty good producer too. I produced Nas’ double platinum Stillmatic album, the very first song. Eminem came out and he just got different treatment than any every other black rapper. And I just didn’t appreciate that. So, when everybody was scared to say something, I was the only one who didn’t. And everything I said was true. I said that black people got hip-hop and we got white people to finally buy into us. And now they want to give the white people back somebody that they can buy into. And 200 years from now, when they pull up the history, and search who was the best one, there comes Eminem.” Benzino added.

Benzino says Michael Jackson called & thanked him for standing up to Eminem

Just because you see something on internet, it does not mean it’s true but for Benzino, it does, especially if the post degrades Eminem. In one of his latest Instagram post, Benzino shared a picture of Eminem and Michael Jackson, with the following words written on it: “When Eminem did a diss on Michael Jackson in 2005. Michael made no comments. He went and bought Eminem’s whole catalogue and then got paid every time Eminem performed.”

In the caption, Benzino wrote: “So, I was at the Turnberry Hotel in Miami when I got a call from Michael Jackson and we talked for about 45 minutes about Eminem disrespecting him. He thanked me for standing up to him and spoke about in his words, the devils running music industry. He mentioned Tommy Mattola and a few others. I will never forget that conversation. I had no idea he bought the catalogue.”

In the comments, one of The Source magazine editor said: “I remember when u put the phone to my ear and it was Michael Jackson on your phone saying ‘the nerve of this boy.'”

As you might know, on “Just Lose It” song Eminem goes very far with scatological humor, Michael Jackson jokes and one of the most distinctive choruses in Slim Shady’s career.
