Lets say like this, because a lot of those guys [Redman, LL Cool , Nas] are like mentors to Em. But then Em is like a mentor to them too. It’s all a mutual respect thing. That’s one thing I could say about Eminem. He has mad, mad respect from all of the legends in the rap game but he’s a legend himself. For real.”

Then he continued: “The fact that he messes with Eminem, cause, you know, Eminem did the videos mocking him and stuff like that, so I didn’t really wanted to let him know I work with Eminem cause I thought he was gonna kill me and stuff. But he really respected the fact that…That’s when Eminem retired, so the first thing he said ‘yo, what’s up with this retirement with Eminem? He really retired?’ I was like, ‘yah, he retired. He’s out.’ But he’s like, really respected him.”

Tony Yayo reveals what it meant for him when Eminem wore “Free Yayo” shirt at Grammys

Tony Yayo has recently joined Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson and DJ Whoo Kid to discuss his early beginnings, growing up with 50 Cent, being in G-Unit, what it was like growing up and more. The South Jamaica, New York-born rapper also revealed that Eminem wearing “Free Yayo” shirt at the 2003 Grammy awards ceremony was one of the greatest moments in his career.

“That was my biggest moment in hip-hop. Shout out to me, for me.” Tony Yayo replied when Whoo Kid asked what it meant for him when Eminem wore that t-shirt.

Last year, during the interview with VLAD TV, Yayo talked vastly about the same topic: “Eminem has always helped me in my career. He’s on my first album. He wore a Free Yayo shirt at the Grammys. So, I’m always gonna show him respect and love and salute him.”

“Nobody every did anything in my career besides Eminem and 50 Cent. And I always say, him doing Free Yayo while I was in jail, I only had to do about two years and they kept my name alive. They started putting my name in the videos and Free Yayo shirt was selling. I’m always gonna salute him…Being attached to Eminem was the best deal, without Eminem and Dr. Dre we would not have that much of a success.”

Eminem brings Slim Shady back in new DJ Whoo Kid interview

Eminem, Mr. Porter and Paul Rosenberg has recently sat down with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45 for Super Bowl special where the team had fun time as Eminem brought back Slim Shady for few minutes.

“You don’t have Eminem here. You have Slim Shady. Slim Shady is actually sitting here with the clothes off. I’m trying to fit an outfit but no matter what happens, everytime I get naked again I go like ‘oh this is the best outfit for Super Bowl… Would you like to throw up in the middle of the interview?” says Eminem.

Yesterday, at the Super Bowl press conference, Dr. Dre revealed he had to talk Eminem about not taking his penis out during the performance. It seems he was not joking 🙂

“I just wonder if the NFL is gonna be cool with that that I come on stage naked.” Eminem added. “This is what I was gonna say to the NFL, I’m sorry, I tried so many outfits and I didn’t like any of them. What was I supposed to do?”

Later Eminem said Slim Shady does not give a f**k about performing at Super Bowl before showing love to Mary J. Blige.

“She is dope. I’ve had some interesting conversations with her too on some Tupac s**t and stuff like that. She will come out and kill it.” said Eminem.

DJ Whoo Kid shares Dr. Dre’s “Detox” song “Back Again,” featuring Akon

Back in April, 2020, DJ Whoo Kid went live on Instagram with Akon and played one of Dr. Dre’s remixed songs from vaulted Detox album.

The track is titled “Back Again” and features Akon. The original version of the song was recorded and unofficially released in 2005 and it features rapper Kai. This would have marked second collaboration between Dre and Akon since dropping “Kush,” back in 2010, which also features Snoop Dogg.

“That song was when we were all waiting for that Detox album” says Akon at the end of the video.

The beat of the song is definitely produced by Dr. Dre himself. You can bump it below!
