Eminem trolls fans with new album announcement

During his visit on Jimmy Kimmel Live last month, Dr. Dre announced that Eminem is working on new album and it’s coming out this year: “Let me tell you something. Let me explain something right now. Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year and I actually talked to him and he said it was okay for me to make that announcement right here on this show. So yeah, the album coming out, I got songs on it and it’s fire. I’m actually going to hear entire album for the first time tomorrow. He holds his music close to his chest so I have not heard everything. I have not even heard everything complete that I’ve done but I’m gonna hear it and he’s putting out album this year. There are things on there that I have to mix that I’ve done but I got a chance to hear album in its entirety.” said Dre.

Next day, Eminem sent the fans into madness as the Detroit legend shared pictures of himself in the studio with Dr. Dre, Royce 5’9″, The Alchemist, Denaun Porter and his recent Shady Records signee, Ez Mil with the caption: “Nuthin 2 see here… plenty to hear!!!” It is highly possible that all these artists that appear in the picture are featured on the new album or Eminem just invited them for a listening session in Dr. Dre’s studio in California.

Today, on April Fools’ Day, Eminem pranked his fans with a fake album announcement. In the video that Slim Shady shared on Instagram, we can see the hundreds of screenshots of fans’ comments that are complaining about the new album, which led him to jokingly drop “Infinte 2”.  “Drop the album grandpa” one screenshot says. Another says: “can you just drop an album and not merch?’. The video starts with the intro of “Crack A Bottle.” Then the narrator says: “The highly anticipated next studio album goes back to where it all started. Infinite. But now, it’s even more. Out today.” While the title track “Infinite” playing in the background.

Last time Eminem dropped the full body of work was more than 4 years ago. Em dropped his 11th solo studio album Music to Be Murdered By on January 17, 2020, through Shady Records, Aftermath Entertainment, and Interscope Records. Just like Eminem’s previous studio album Kamikaze (2018), the album was released with no prior announcement. The album was produced by many producers, with Eminem and Dr. Dre serving as executive producers. It features guest appearances from Skylar Grey, Young M.A, Royce da 5’9″, White Gold, Ed Sheeran, the late Juice WRLD, Black Thought, Q-Tip, Denaun, Anderson .Paak, Don Toliver, Kxng Crooked and Joell Ortiz.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 279,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. Subsequently, Eminem became the first artist to have ten consecutive number-one albums in the US and one of six artists to have released at least ten US number-one albums. Music to Be Murdered By reached number one in 16 countries. Music critics praised Eminem’s lyrical abilities and the improved production after Kamikaze, while criticism was directed towards the album’s formulaic song structure, lack of innovation, and shock value.

Amber Rose says she hit Eminem in DMs but Eminem didn’t reply

About a year ago, Amber Rose, Loaded Lux and Murda Mook joined DJ EFN and N.O.R.E. on Drink Champs to discuss their thoughts on loyalty and respect in relationships, their favorite rappers and Christmas memories. The group shared their thoughts on the importance of respecting and valuing women, and reflected on the challenges they have faced in their own relationships. They also discussed the power of lyricism in rap and share their favorite rappers. The episode took a heavier turn as the group spoke on the double standard of labeling men as “ho-s” versus women, the impact of s-xual violence on women and the struggles and challenges of growing up poor.

During Quicktime With Slime, DJ EFN asked the crew to choose between Busta Rhymes and Eminem, on which Amber Rose replied: “It’s very hard because Busta Rhymes put a lot in to entertainment business. It’s a tie. I was Eminem for Halloween. I’m making it a tie.

Murda Mook continued: “I will say Busta Rhymes. Eminem recently put me in his verse. Shout out to Em. He also said I was his favorite battle rapper but Busta changed my life so it’s Busta Rhymes all day.” From there, a little drunk Amber Rose continued: “Eminem, hit me back in the DMs! I hit him in the DMs he didn’t hit me back. Eminem, hit me back in the DMs!” Murda Mook also commented: “Em ain’t hit me back either. [laughs].” You can watch the full thing below:

Jesse Collins reveals few details about Eminem’s involvement in “Rhythm + Flow” season 2

Jesse Collins, the genius behind some of the biggest shows in hip-hop history, shares his groundbreaking journey with Sway In The Morning. From crafting unforgettable moments at the Super Bowl with Usher to celebrating 50 years of hip-hop and beyond, Jesse reveals the vision and hard work that goes into producing legendary events. He’s the man who erased color lines and elevated the game to new heights. At one point of the interview, Jesse Collins talked about “Rhythm + Flow” and Eminem‘s involvement in it.

“After season 1 we were going into season 2 and I remember we were in production for a week when Covid started and it was the beginning of Covid so it was like ‘oh, we are going home for two weeks.’ And then it went another two weeks and another two weeks and it was like ‘okay, we are done.’ And they shut it down for years and then it popped in France and then we just brought it back. It comes out in November.” said Jesse Collins.

Then he continued: “We had your guy. The rapper that you may have had something do do with. EMINEM! When he did the show, this incredible episode, and he’s talking about being in LA for the battle that he lost. And he was saying that he was getting evicted from an apartment and he really needed that money. So he went out and did that battle. And lost to someone I can’t remember the name. Somebody that had a lot of local affiliations. So, it didn’t matter how he did, he was going to win. So, Em lost and was not going to get that money. F–ked this whole thing and gave that tape. And that mixtape got through and got to Dre and whole thing and the rest is history.

During the conversations, Sway interrupted and said that rapper that defeated was Juice but Collins was obviously talking about Otherwize. Eminem talked about the battle on his Genius Annotation: “We had pressed up The Slim Shady EP and it was doing pretty well in Detroit. At some point, Wendy Day called me and said “I want you to be on the battle team. I got you a ticket to the Rap Olympics in LA.” said Eminem.

Then he continued: “I went to the Olympics, got all the way to the end, and then lost to the last guy. The guy who won was Otherwize, from LA. It was a local thing. They had a bunch of crowd support there. When I rapped, he went and hid behind a video screen. He walked away while I was rapping. I didn’t have anyone to battle! I’d never been in a situation like that before. I went through a lot of people to get through to the end, and then he walked away while I was rapping. I’m like, “What the f–k do I do?” I was devastated.

“I come off stage. I’m like, that’s it. It’s over for me. This kid from Interscope, Dean Geistlinger, walks over and he asks me for a copy of the CD. So I kind of just chuck it at him. It was The Slim Shady EP. We come back to Detroit, I have no f–king home, no idea what I’m gonna do. Then, a couple weeks later, we get a call. Marky Bass said, “Yo, we got a call from a doctor!”” Eminem added.

More than four years after Rhythm + Flow debuted on Netflix, the hip-hop music competition series is back with a second season featuring new judges, DJ Khaled, Ludacris and Latto. The streamer also announced Eminem as a special guest who will join the battles round “from a surprise location.” Additional music industry guests for the show, in which a panel of judges aim at discovering the next generation’s rap star, will be revealed at a later date.

Ebro & Nadeska debate new Eminem album

In this week’s episode of Rap Life Review on Apple Music, media personalities Nadeska, Lowkey, and Ebro dive into the hottest new music from Big Sean, Joyner Lucas, and more. The crew also dive into the highly debated “Big 3” conversation sparked by Future and Metro Boomin’s latest album, titled “We Don’t Trust You”. This then leads the conversation to Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s perpetuated beef and what this means for rap going forward. At one point of the interview, the trio briefly talked about Eminem‘s upcoming album, which was revealed by Dr. Dre last week.

Ebro Darden: Dr. Dre announced that Eminem and Snoop Dogg are working on the albums. I’m always looking for an Eminem album. He cares about rapping. I like to hear him rap. Whether or not I liked the albums and the cohesiveness of the albums or if there’s songs in there, you know, at this stage of his career could be a hit or miss. But if Eminem was like ‘I’m only working with like Alchemist, Havoc, Pete Rock, Premier. If I got Eminem album like that, y’all would not be excited to see album coming?!

Nadeska: I would like somebody to challenge Eminem to just have a little more fun and be a little bit less clinical with the raps. That’s coming from someone who has been long time fan of him. I think he is excellent and but he’s always rapping like he still has a lot to prove. I think there is nothing left to prove. I would love to hear him, like you said, pair up with one producer, have a different sound and it does not have to be as mind-bending. I also just want to see him have fun. I think that would be great.

Ebro Darden: Maybe his mind-bending, lyrical, spherical, medicinals is where he has fun at?!

Eminem’s “Fortnite Radio” album debuts on Billboard Vinyl Albums charts

About a week ago, legendary producer Dr. Dre, who has recently received a star on Hollywood Walk Of Fame, revealed that Eminem is working on a new album, which is slated to drop anytime this year. As fans around the world wait for that 12th solo studio album, the legendary Detroit rapper debuts a new full-length project “Fortnite Radio” on the Billboard charts this week.

Eminem debuts his new collection “Fortnite Radio” on two rankings published by Billboard this week. The set was made available on vinyl following the hip-hop powerhouse’s recent appearance in the online game platform, and fans were quick to snap up copies of the project, which is decidedly different from anything he’s shared before–at least when it comes to the method by which he shared it with the world.

Fortnite Radio launches highest on the Vinyl Albums chart. On that tally, Eminem’s latest opens at No. 8. It’s only his fourth career placement on the list. Eminem’s title scores the third-highest start of the week on the vinyl-only tally, coming in behind new releases from Kacey Musgraves (Deeper Well, No. 1) and Justin Timberlake (Everything I Thought It Was, No. 2). It’s also tied as his lowest-charting ever, but it still managed to enter the top 10.

Over on the Top Album Sales chart, Fortnite Radio doesn’t fare quite as well. The project debuts at No. 19 on the ranking of the most-purchased albums and EPs in the country. According to Luminate, the project opens with 3,705 copies sold.

Cassidy addresses rumors of ghostwriting for Benzino’s Eminem diss in a new song

Cassidy has just confirmed that he did not ghostwrite for any of Benzino’s diss tracks towards Eminem, “Vulturius” and “Rap Elvis” in a snippet of his new song titled “MIND CAPACITY” which he shared on Instagram on Monday (March 25, 2024).

The Philadelphia hip-hop artist and battle rapper addressed the rumors that he was the pen behind the punchlines with the following lines: “I ain’t ghostwrite Benzino diss, that’s bogus. In the past I ghostwrote for the writer that ghostwrote it.

The former Source Magazine owner had previously denied that he had used a ghostwriter for “Rap Elvis” and “Vulturius” following online speculation. “I don’t wanna hear that ghostwriter s–t. This is Hip-Hop, bro. I don’t wanna hear that ghostwriter s–t. Shut the f–k up, bro. You mad because I’m spitting. I wrote that s–t. Yes, my n-ggas handed me some bars but I spit that s–t!”

His comments came after a social media user suggested that Cassidy secretly wrote Benzino’s diss songs due to the similarities in their rhyme style. “Anyone with a good rap ear can hear the Same flow patterns, internal rhyme style & his flips on the same word is SOOO Cassidy. Cass either ghostwrote or Benzino just bit his whole style. Eminem Won.” One fan wrote on Twitter. But later it was revealed that the ghostwriter was Atlanta-based battle rapper who goes by the name of Nes Lee. He’s considered one of the sharpest battle rappers in the game right now. Check out Cassidy’s new song below:

Joyner Lucas names artists who are better than him

Couple of days ago, Joyner Lucas released his much anticipated album titled Not Now I’m Busy with features from Jelly Roll, Twista, NBA YoungBoy, Logic, Conway The Machine, the late legend DMX and more. To promote the album, the Worcester, Massachusetts-born rapper sat down with Sway In The Morning on Shade 45 where he talked about his new album, DMX influence, Big 3 convo and more. At one point of the interview, Joyner listed artists that he feels are better than him and there is no weakness to acknowledge it.

“I never really had a desire to be the king of anything. It’s just not my personality to be self-proclaimed to anything. I just kinda allow people place me where they wanna place me but that does not mean I’m not competitive. I just never really care to be like ‘I’M THE BEST, I’m THE KING. I’M THE BEST RAPPER IN THE WORLD.’ It’s all subjective.” said Joyner Lucas.

Then he continued: “A lot of people say you should want to be the best, you should say you are the best and nobody’s better than you. They think it’s weak to say somebody is better than you. I disagree with that. I don’t feel that at all. I feel like there are lots of artist that are better than me. Eminem is better than me. Drake is better than me. I don’t have a problem saying that. People might look at me as weak for saying that but that’s just how I feel.”

“I feel like certain artists are better than me. Do I feel like Drake is better storyteller record to me? F–k no! There’s no way. He can’t make “I’m Not Racist,” he can’t make “Ross Capicchioni,” he can’t make “Best For Me,” but he can make “God’s Plan,” I can’t make that s–t. He can make “Hotline Bling,” I can’t do that s–t. He can hop into all these different lanes and s–t and do all these “Controller.” He’s a hybrid for real. He can sing and s–t. I can’t sing. But I think he’s overall better than me. All these stats and all the things that he could do that I could not. Kendrick can get lyrically better than me. He get busy and I love that about Kendrick. So to answer your question, I don’t care about being the besI’m just a fan of other artists bro.” Joyner Lucas added.

HitsDailyDouble hints on a famous character return on new Eminem album

Iconic record producer and hip-hop artist Dr. Dre has been selected to receive the 2,775th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Compton legend was honored on March 19 at 11:30 a.m. on 6840 Hollywood Boulevard, just in front of Jimmy Kimmel Studios. He received his star in the category of music recording. Fellow hip-hop icons Eminem, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Xzibit and music mogul Jimmy Iovine also joined emcee Big Boy, who was a speaker at the ceremony. They all headed to Jimmy Kimmel Live where Dr. Dre announced that new Eminem album is coming this year.

“Let me tell you something. There are things on there that I have to mix that I’ve done but I got a chance to hear album in its entirety.” said Dr. Dre during his visit on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The next day, Eminem posted an album session picture of himself in the studio with Denaun Porter, Royce 5’9″, Dr. Dre, The Alchemist and the latest Shady Records signee, Ez Mil. In the caption, Em wrote: “Nuthin 2 see here… plenty to hear!!!”

HitsDailyDouble, a music company that features music industry news, counting sales numbers for Billboard and making innuendos, has recently hinted on Steve Berman returning as a character in a skit of new Eminem album. The last time Steve Berman appeared on a skit of Slim Shady’s album was 2009’s Relapse.

Newly tapped as vice chairman of Interscope Capitol Labels Group, the estimable, consummately menschy Steve Berman has brought his branding wizardry and state-of-the-art lever-pulling to huge projects by Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish and many more, and the latest chapter of his exemplary career finds his brief getting significantly bigger. As just one example of his amazing reach, Berm’s strong relationships with the NFL, Dre, Eminem and Snoop, among others, were integral to the Super Bowl hip-hop extravaganza.

Eminem’s new album might be closer than we think. Mr. Porter has recently answered a fan on Instagram who asked to name the date of new Slim Shady album. Em’s close friend, hypeman, producer and former member of D12 replied: “soon come.” Check the screenshot below:

DJ Whoo Kid also shared an Eminem and Dr. Dre picture on Instagram saying: “It’s going down for reals. can’t wait to hear this new @eminem album!! @drdre @eminem.” When Whoo Kid says something like that, he knows its coming out real soon.

Joyner Lucas tells how hard it is to get on the phone with Eminem & why he values his privacy

Joyner Lucas has recently sat down with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Jess Hilarious on The Breakfast Club to promote his new album “Not Now, I’m Busy” where he talked about how hard it is to get in touch with Eminem. He also reveals his never-before-heard conversation with Eminem and Royce 5’9″ and more.

“[When I have people doing dirty to me] It made me realize why n-ggas like Marshall move a certain way. That n-gga is like…getting on the phone with him is like…You could probably hop on the phone with Barack [Obama] quicker than you can hop on the phone with Marshall. That n-gga is calling you from the line where his manager’s assistant is calling you from 1-800 number and then it’s like elevated music and it’s like ‘please hold, Marshall’s coming to the phone.’ You can’t have his number. Nobody has his number. You are not accessible. You can’t talk to him. It’s like hopping on the phone with president. And I always wondered why this n-gga moves like that.” – said Joyner Lucas.

Then he continued: “I had a conversation with him on the shoot of the ‘Lucky You’ and I was in his trailer and I’m like ‘anytime you wanna talk, anytime you wanna build, you can hit me. We can talk. We can build on this music s–t.’ He was like ‘yeah, yeah, yeah’ and I could tell he was really like standoffish. And I asked Royce ‘yo, why is he like that?’ And he was like ‘that n-gga been through a lot of s–t. He’s really closed off from people.’ And I’m like ‘damn!’ And I never understood it. And when I started experiencing this s–t myself, I got it, instantly. I’m like ‘this is why this mothef–ker don’t want new friends. And I get it. 100%.”

“[He was the biggest star in the world at one point.] And he still is. He gotta drop a f–king album and he’s still…He just can’t be outside. He can’t be the n-gga that can be just outside like that. He just can’t walk in the streets of f–king New York. He’s a big deal to this day. He moves like that for a reason. You can probably get Jay-Z be texting n-ggas and s–t. Some n-ggas don’t know how to handle trauma and all that s–t. But I’m starting to get in the space now where it’s like I understand why this industry n-ggas move. When I came to the game I was like ‘these n-ggas are weird’ but now I see why n-ggas are weird.” Joyner Lucas added.

Earlier in the interview, Joyner was also asked why he’s not in the conversation of Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Drake league on which he responded: “I’m in those conversations when you are talking to people like Marshall, you are talking to Eminem. He always mentions me. He puts me right next to them. He always talks about it and even in the records he’ll be saying like his favorite artist is…sometimes he throws my name first. Joyner, Cole, Kendrick. He definitely acknowledges that and in my mind he’s considered as one of the greatest if not the greatest so I’m getting if that guy says those things then I guess that stands for something.”

Igor Severino takes the ‘Eminem Curse’ to the next level

Flyweight Igor Severino was disqualified on his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut on Saturday, March 24, 2024, after biting opponent Andre Lima during their Fight Night bout in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

In the second round of the fight between the two Brazilians, Lima yelled and signaled for the referee to stop the bout. The 25-year-old held up his left arm to show the bite mark and officials reviewed the footage before making the decision to disqualify Severino. UFC president Dana White later told combat sports website keviniole.com that Severino would be cut from the UFC.

“We were fighting well, and then at some point, for some reason, he decided to bite me,” Lima, speaking through a translator, told reporters after the fight. “I went down, and as I was getting up, I yelled because I felt sharp pain. I thought it was the fence at first. I thought ‘there was no way he would have bit me’, especially with the way the fight was going.” Later on Saturday, Lima posted a picture of himself on Instagram with a new tattoo of the bite mark, which was reposted by White along with a promise of a $50,000 bonus.

What Eminem has to do here? Igor Severino walked out to Eminem’s “Superman” instrumental, a track from his 2002 blockbuster album, The Eminem Show. There is a widespread theory that MMA fighters who walk out to Eminem’s music lose more frequently. Severino lost but in the most unexpected way possible. Disqualified for biting the opponent. You can watch the full fight below. Unfortunately the sound of the video is messed up by uploader to probably avoid the copyright strikes but you can still hear “Superman” beat if you listen closely.

Joyner Lucas reveals he asked Eminem to redo his verse: “It was tough to say that to my idol”

Couple of days ago, Joyner Lucas released his much anticipated album titled Not Now I’m Busy with features from Jelly Roll, Twista, NBA YoungBoy, Logic, Conway The Machine, the late legend DMX and more. To promote the album, the Worcester, Massachusetts-born rapper sat down with DJ Pup Dawg for Dunkin’ Music Lounge interview on JAM’N 94.5 where he revealed that he once asked Eminem to recut his verse.

“I’ve gotten into that situation, with Eminem. That was difficult. That was a record that never came out, between me and Marshall. He had this last verse but he did not wanna hear the concept that I was thinking or the vision for the video. He didn’t wanna hear it. He kept telling me ‘don’t tell me, don’t tell me.’ I said ‘bro you have to know it because that’s the way you gonna have to write it.’ He was like ‘nah!’ and I was like ‘alright!'” said Joyner Lucas.

Then he continued: “So he wrote it and it was not, like, he went whole another direction than what I’ve seen in the video. And when he did that, he asked me what I thought about it. I told him that was fire but I just felt like he went in another direction and I was like ‘can we change the ending?’ and it was tough for me to say that. Cause this is like The Man, somebody that I grew up and idolized. He’s my hero bro. So, having to tell him that was difficult but I told him that and he was like ‘WOW! Nobody has ever told me to recut my verse.’ And I was like ‘Nah, I’m not telling you to recut it but just the ending of it, can we change little bit of ending?’ But I had to do that for sure. He respected that. He recut it for sure.”

Maybe this is the reason why we got two versions of “What If I Was Gay?”? A song with Eminem that was leaked in 2018.  Alternatively titled as “If I Told You” focuses on a suppressed homosexual coming out to his friend—Joyner takes the perspective of the gay man coming out while Eminem takes the perspective of his unsupportive Christian friend. The encounter leads the homosexual man to commit suicide, ultimately giving Em’s character feelings of regret. It also ends in a twist, as Eminem’s character reveals that he’s also gay. A snippet of the track was leaked on October 28, 2019, and the full version was leaked two days later on October 31, 2019, under the name “What If I Was Gay?” Few days later, the alternative version of the song was also leaked with different verse from Eminem. The track marks the second official collaboration between the two rappers following August 2018’s “Lucky You,” from Kamikaze album.

Snap Dogg & Trick Trick respond Benzino coming to Detroit & dissing Eminem

Benzino has recently flown to Detroit to flim the music video of “Rap Elvis” in Eminem’s “Mom’s Spaghetti” restaurant. In the videos that surfaced online, Zino appears to be tasting spaghetti and then throwing it away in front of the restaurant. He also picked the signage board and put it into his car. Then he entered into the museum acted silly in front of iconic Eminem collectibles. While nobody from Shady camp has made any comment about it, Detroit’s own Snap Dogg speaks up!

“Detroit, this is what the f–k with doin’ now? This s–t is Detroit VS Everybody. I get how y’all feel about Em. Y’all feel like he ain’t putting nobody on or doing nothing but he did it in his era bro. But y’all going to let another n-gga come from another different city and invade our f–king streets in our city like we some soft a-s n-ggas in this b-tch? Y’all go against another n-gga who’s from the city or  another n-gga who ain’t from the city? Who’s just using y’all and going back home, y’all never going to hear from this man? Who ain’t going to do nothing for your careers? Y’all say Em ain’t doin’ nothing, what Benzino doing for y’all besides using you n-ggas. The city is weak as f–k right now. And my understanding is that this man just cry on interview saying he want no smoke with Em.” said Snap Dogg in one of his Instagram videos.

He then continued: “Benzino, I’m outside today. If me and my n-ggas see you, we beating yo a-s and anybody that you with in the city can’t stop me. Ain’t nobody stoppin’ Snap n-gga. I ain’t worried about n-ggas that you with. C’mon man. Detroit, we gotta do better. No Fly Zone means something! It’s bigger than what the f–k you n-ggas doing bro!”

Then he posted another video, saying: “Only the real gon’ understand me. I don’t expect yo little a-s punk a-s n-ggas to understand me bro. Stand on morals around this b-tch man. Y’all n-ggas from the city laughing at this s–t. You go to this n-gga mama restaurant and taking signs and s–t, n-gga?! Do you realize Benzino you got a daughter that got to come to Detroit if she go on tour boy!”

Snap uploaded another video where he says: “If real n-ggas would have known that that man was coming here and tryna do that, I guarantee that would never happen. That’s just facts. The real ones that’s in the city that got power and know what’s going on. That would never happen bro.”

Trick Trick also left little message for Benzino and Lazarus dropped off the dome freestyle yesterday in support of the city and Eminem. You can Snap Dogg and Trick Trick’s response in the video below:
