Mike Tyson Says Eminem is the Best Thing to Happen to Rap Music

In a recent appearance on the Whoo’s House Podcast hosted by DJ Whoo Kid, boxing legend Mike Tyson offered high praise for hip-hop icon Eminem. Speaking passionately about the legendary Detroit rapper’s legacy, Tyson did not hold back in acknowledging how fundamental Eminem’s role has been in shaping modern hip-hop culture. He asserted, “People would hate to say that Eminem wasn’t the best thing that happened to rap music because that’s the truth.”

Tyson expanded on Eminem’s unmatched impact on the music landscape, highlighting the resistance and controversy that often accompanied his meteoric rise. He noted that critics and detractors have always struggled to come to terms with the shift Eminem brought to the industry. He continued, “He changed the game that’s why most of them don’t like him. They listen to his s–t but they just don’t like the fact he changed the game.”

Addressing the race dynamic that has surrounded Eminem’s career since day one, Tyson spoke candidly about how Slim Shady broke boundaries and carved his unique space in hip-hop history. He emphasized that authentic talent ultimately transcends background, even if critics continue to focus on it. He said, “He can’t help he’s a white motherf—er. He thinks he’s black so what the f–k?”

Concluding his thoughts, Tyson laughed as he summarized how critics simply have to respect the legendary lyricist’s undeniable skill regardless of their personal feelings. He pointed out that Eminem’s presence in the culture is an absolute reality that nobody can undo. He finished, “They can’t help he’s white. He don’t like it he’s white either. Laughs Give him the flow.”
