Denaun Breaks Down Eminem’s Obsessive Rhyme-Writing Process

When discussing Eminem’s unmatched creative process on the 3rd Verse Podcast, Denaun Porter highlighted the legendary rapper’s extraordinary dedication to wordplay. He said, “Do you know how much OpenAI or Anthropic would pay for Eminem’s writings?”

Porter emphasized how meticulously Eminem builds his vocabulary over a lifetime, noting, “He’s been collecting data on words since we were kids. When you don’t know the word that you don’t know, you go find four or five words that rhyme with it, then find four-five more and then find another way to connect that and he does that all day.”

Comparing his unique approach to visual art, Porter added, “The way he writes looks like a Basquiat paintings. You can’t look at this paper and know what rhymes.”

Concluding his praise for the hip-hop icon’s astonishing memory and organizational skill, he said, “But here is the crazy part. He knows what book to go to in his bag for a rhyme from 5-6 years ago.
