Former Shady Records artist Stat Quo has recently sat down with DJ Mormile and Justin Hunte on the latest episode of 3rd Verse Podcast where he shared an exclusive story from Eminem's “Godzilla” video shoot with Juice WRLD, including working alongside Cole Bennett and Lyrical Lemonade. "They had this thing where it was Fifty, Dre and Em, all riding in the car together, like Kennedy style. I was so f--king desperate as an artist. I snuck in the car, I'm in the back, laid down, trying to get in the picture. I was supposed to get in the car and ride with D12 but I get in the back of their seat so it was them three and I'm laying in the back of it, trying to get in the photo and they were like 'yo, if you don't duck your a-s down...' I was so desperate to get in the picture. For some reason I believed, if I took a picture with them, I was gonna blow up. I was so f--king stupid. Fifty blew up cause he took a picture with them and they put it on XXL so if I get a picture, I'm about to be out of here." said Stat Quo At the end of the interview, Stat talked about 'Godzilla' video: "One of the greatest third verse of all time is 'Godzilla' by Eminem, featuring Juice WRLD. And why it was such a monumental song and moment for me is because I started out as an artist signed to Eminem and Dre and I transitioned from that to be manager and an executive in the industry. I worked with Cole Bennett for years with Lyrical Lemonade. And the video shoot of 'Godzilla' connected all of us back together. I love these guys at Shady. They were my family. I wouldn't be who I am if it was not for Shady." "So we go for the video shoot and they knew me Stat Quo as a rapper. Now these people got to see me where I had graduated to be a full-blown executive. The video came out super crazy. The song got billions of streams. It was one of the greatest days of my career. I remember Dre was so surprised cause he had no idea I had any affiliation with Cole...Em actually spazzes on the third verse of that song. He goes crazy. That verse is ridiculous. It was just a dope moment. I will never forget that...Shout out to Paul, Em, Marshall, Shady." Watch the interview bellow:
