Lil Yatchy has recently sat down on Tea Time with Raven and Miranda podcast where they talked about his journey into fatherhood so far, working at McDonalds in High-school, the reputation rappers have, psychedelic experiences, love at first sight and so much more! At one point of the interview, they briefly talked about Eminem.
Raven-Symoné: Let’s don’t talk about Eminem. He’s the GOAT. Eminem is the GOAT, don’t touch him. Eminem broke down boundaries. And if you get dissed by Eminem, well done!
Lil Yachty: Eminem actually dissed me. But I thought it was amazing. He could have said anyone’s name but he said my name. That kind of fire. It was like “I understand why people listen to Lil’ Yachty, but it’s not for me though.” I was not mad at all. I was like, fire! I’ll take Eminem’s diss any day of the week. I’m Eminem too. I’m Miles McCollum.
Eminem namedropped Lil Yachty in his song “The Ringer” from 2018’s Kamikaze album. In the song, Em raps: “I can see why people like Lil Yachty, but not me though / Not even dissin’, it just ain’t for me / All I am simply is just an MC.” In August 2018, Lil Yachty responded to these lines with excitement and also bummed out that he wasn’t dissed harder: “Lmao me personally I think it’s fye Eminem took a shot at me.. I f–k wit Eminem.” He said.
